We walked mostly on wooden structures. Sometimes we could walk on a bridge as well. I thought I was in the Amazon. There were so many plants trees and attractive flowers. We saw bats in the dark, insects, serpents, monkeys, wild animals. It was fantastic....More

This was a very cute zoo and our family enjoyed our relaxing stroll through the zoo. There was a nice surprise of a hanging bridges through the canopy that our family got to do that was an unexpected bonus. Very reasonably priced for what you...More

Our whole family simply loved the visit to the Guadeloupe zoo and we all agreed that we've not been to a place like it before. Rather than boring you with a repeat of all the positive that's been said and written before, I can only...More

We all agreed this was the best zoo we have ever been to. The location and fabulous vegetation that surrounds you make this Zoo a unique experience. The views of the animals are brilliant and then there is the rope bridge walk through the tropical...More

Unusual zoo, situated in the rain forest on Basse-terre, Guadeloupe. Being a zoo it has animals in captivity, and for instance the ozelot seemed bored and unhappy. You can walk on suspension bridges up to 20 m above ground level and see the canopy of...More

I'm not normally a "zoo person", but I must admit that Parc des Mamelles was very cool. Most of the animals seems to have plenty of room to play, and the elevated suspension bridge above the terrain was such fun!

It's an OK zoo - nothing that special. A lot of the exhibits seemed on their own (e.g. monkeys). the treetop walkway is a novelty but you don't much from it and you have to wait as it is one at a time (so you...More

A beautifully landscaped Zoo in the “ rain forest” environment. All kinds of animals to enjoy. Birds, monkeys, lizards, smaller mammals, huge black Leopard.... and much more. Be careful in the rain.... walkway can be a bit slippery. Enjoy!

Well maintained zoo, beautiful trees and plants. Unusual and interesting animals, but like all zoos, they seem bored and lethargic. I am not a big fan of zoos, but this was well laid out and well kept, so I tried not to think about the...More

Just visited this zoo earlier this month while visiting beautiful Guadeloupe. This is a privately owned and operated zoo set in the Basse Terre tropical forest. It has a limited number of animals and insects but they are well presented. We had a chance to...More
