We stopped here before getting the watchtower, what an amazing view and the location was not very busy (September). Highly recommend if you want to take panoramic pictures and/or videos. It takes your breath away.

We hiked along almost the entire rim trail and visited these eastern viewpoints by car, and Lipan point was by far my favorite. There's an amazing, panoramic long view of the Colorado River at this viewpoint, you can clearly see the diagonal rock layers on...More
This beautiful point's parking lot can fill quickly. Good hiking east of the parking lot.It's peaceful when everyone whispers as opposed to yelling.I don't know why people yell.
If you notice a wedding taking place, please be respectful.
Really enjoyed this point as there are good views of the Colorado River which you don’t see at many points

If you visit the Grand Canyon, don't leave without a stop at this landmark. Our tour guide told us it would be the best view on the trip and he wasn't wrong! You can see a vast portion of the canyon including the Colorado River....More
