Are you considering visiting this place? Well STOP considering. Just Go, trust me, you will not regret it. My girlfriend made a spontaneous and yet doubtful visit after coming across the facility online. From the moment we arrived and engaged with Manuel and Munyai, we knew that this was going to be the best part of our day. The trail is amazing, the views are gorgeous, the animals along the trail make for some awesome interactions. Our horses were Amigo and Lily. Poor Amigo, he’s hearing is so sensitive such that when I scratched my head or pulled a leaf, he would dash off in full throttle. Beautiful horse!😍 A special shout out to Blessing for making the experience memorable. You are an amazing tour guide my brother. May God bless you!

Very friendly staffs and horses. Hiking was also interesting. Species of birds are a little different from cities. I saw Woodpeckers Orioles and Wood hoopoes. I guess that I saw also Woodland kingfisher. Easy to access from Pretoria. Reasonable pricing.

We went on this wonderful journey on these amazing horses, together with our wonderful guide. What an experience, really wonderful. The trail that we rode, all the wildlife that we saw, between all the buck, giraffes, and even a photo bomber ostrich. Blessing, thank you very much for the beautiful photos that you took to make sure we remembered the magic. Then just another thank you to the staff for the most delicious, beautiful and romantic picnic that was set up for us on our ride. You are so thoughtful for making everything so special.

I chose the sunrise 2 hour horse trail. It was a magical experience. My dream was to get close to Giraffe in the wild. I was so lucky to get within a metre of a herd of Giraffe grazing on leaves, as well as two baby Giraffe. Im a fairly proficient horse rider, but what I enjoyed most about this adventure was the fact my horse was so calm and loving. He did not bolt or get worked up near any animals, which allowed me to relax and enjoy the ride. My guide, a Zimbabwean gentleman was very friendly and knowledgeable about the habits of all the animals that we saw. It was like watching a National Geographic documentary. The game reserve is also so peaceful and I felt really safe. I would recommend this to anyone, whether you can ride or not, as it is on par with 5 star game reserves, but at a fraction of the price. It feels like you are in deep Africa, but are only 1 hour from city of JHB. Cassy (Jhb)

I had two two-hour rides with Harties Horse Trail Safaris (went back 2 days later since the first was so enjoyable) recently. I recommend paying the extra R150 for a private ride, especially if you know how to ride. I'm an intermediate rider and the horses were decent and never felt out of control. We saw lots of buck, zebra, giraffe, etc and had a few trots and canters. I will definitely go back again when in the area. One of the guides took his camera along and took quite a few nice photos which he sent me by WhatsApp.

My sister took me here for my birthday ! Really loved it it was just awesome loved interacting with the animals during the horse riding safari the only down side is that the guy who does the check in is very arrogant they really could use a better customer service

i went there on the 5th October 2019 with my partner as i was celebrating my 28th Birthday and i dont have words to descibe such experience. it was our first time on horses and i really enjoyed the picnic afterwards.

I have no words, honestly our ride was so amazing. We saw animals from a distance you would never expect to be. The guide was so friendly and patiently explained every animal, down to its coat color! He also kept the horses in line, and knew the horses personality to a T! Our picnic was full of lovely goodies, including some fancy cheese we've never tried before. The owners were also very friendly and seem like hard-working people. Would go again in a heartbeat!

It was amazing I had alot of fun and the guides are really interactive and friendly the explain everything as you go and there are lots of wildlife and you can get really close I definitely recommend Harties Horse Trails as I would go again gladly.😁😁

Went to Harties House Trails alone and didn’t even feel it. Was put in a group of 5 people and our guide Blessing was just such a ‘blessing’. The horses were so chill and it was an awesome one hour of seeing animals just being one with nature. What I enjoyed most is you could literally walk up to a wild animal and touch it. Touched a zebra for the first time in my life was just amazing. Great stuff.

For my 30th birthday this year, my amazing boyfriend booked this lovely horse trail safari for us with a relaxing picnic afterwards, consisting of savoury snacks, fruit salad, chocolate and champagne (juice obviously for my son - at no extra charge). The horse rides in itself were quite an adventure, since I last rode on a horse more than 10 years back, and my son's never actually ridden a horse before, other than the short guided pony rides you sometimes get at places. The horses would sometimes be trotting and this was very exciting for everyone as it's different to the usual walk. We saw a Giraffe and different sorts of antelope, like the rare Golden Wildebeest, Blesbuck, Kudu, etc. Odd enough, the people ON the horses, didn't seem to scare the game away, so we could get quite close in order to take some nice shots. The picnic afterwards were very nicely set up and we enjoyed a quiet and relaxing picnic in the shade under a tree.

It was a wonderful experience of horseback safaris. We could enjoy the horse ride as well as the entire wild environment around there. The horses are well trained and there were guides to help us. We met a Giraffe and other animals. It was an amazing experience. I recommend this place. If you are in South Africa you must visit here.

I had a really good time. It was peaceful and I got to see some wildlife too. I was on a rather placid horsey which suited me just fine. It’s worth a go if you like horses and nature but don’t want to be too in control of a “wild stallion”, the horse was chilled, an altogether very chilled experience. :) (Tried to add photos but my file size was too big.... insert Giraffe and nice countryside picture here).
