      Well Worth the Visit
We highly recommend a private tour/viewing of Wave Murano Glass. Our tour was provided by Marco whose experience, knowledge, and in-depth explanations were well appreciated, by our son, as well as us. Marco explained the process of making various pieces of art, as well as functional pieces, from start to finish to include but not limited to kiln structure, temperature, and cleaning, various elements and compounds used in mixtures to create glass, blowing, shaping, cooling, et cetera. He also explained the various tools used for shaping and finishing numerous pieces, training of younger, less experienced glass artisans, and the mentorship by more experienced glass artisans and blowers. It was also nice to see what used to be a male dominated craft, open to women. Wave Murano Glass’ various pieces range from the whimsical, to functional, to the larger more stunning, artistic pieces. A tour well worth the time, energy, and money! We purchased several pieces for ourselves and as well as holiday gifts for family members and are certain they will be enjoyed by all.

      Informative Glass Making Tour
This was a very informative, personal tour! We learned about glass making from the very first stage to the last. You can tell Wave Murano Glass is passionate about their work! We had our 8 year old with us and they treated her like a VIP. Thank you for an incredible experience!

      Great experience on Murano!
We absolutely loved our tour of Wave Murano Glass! Marco did a fabulous job explaining everything we saw and it was a great experience seeing all of the behind the scene parts of the factory. The best part was of course being right on the floor watching the process of making various pieces of art…truly remarkable! The tour was great for both adults & kids and I can’t recommend it enough for your time in Murano.

      Worth a visit
Booked a one hour tour of the glass works for €25pp and you really do get up close to the action. The staff were very welcoming and explained things in great depth, and one of the pieces we saw being made was enormous. When you see the craftsmanship that goes into it, you know why this glass costs so much. Highly recommended.

      Wonderful experience
Fantastic tour! Marco is amazing at explaining the glass blowing process. Watching Roberto and his team in action was fascinating. Their factory is easily accessible. The whole experience was wonderful and made our trip to Venice even more special. I highly recommend.

The Wave glass factory is the real deal
Wow I’m shook. The Wave glass factory is the real deal. A friend from Murano suggested I go and I figured it would be the same old tourist trap but these men (and women!!) making glass were in full effect blowing and sculpting incredible glass art. The maestro Roberto heard us speaking English and narrated his craft for us, telling each detail of the vase he was making. We were so blown away (glass pun, lol) we commissioned a vase and a chandelier for our new house and they are spectacular.

      Highlight activity!
We were a group of two adults and two teenage girls. Was definitely one of the highlights of the trip! Benjamin was a great tour guide. This is authentic, not one of the many tourist traps. Great experience!

Authentic experience - Not to be missed
A delightful and informative tour. A passionate team of artisans who know their stuff and aren’t the least bit tourist-y. Engaging from start to finish and no pressure to buy souvenirs at the end. Highly recommend a visit, wonderful for children as well.

Best place for a glass making demonstration.
Walked down an alley and heard Queen blasting on a radio. Walked in the direction of the music and there it was. Open doorway and 6 artists making pieces for a commissioned chandelier. We got to see all the steps of the proces. One guy came over and we started chatting. He introduced us to the master and all the assistants. The master was that for the day, as he was a master chandelier maker. The others were no less, but took a backseat to him for the day. I am not going to say more, as each one’s experience will be different. I will say that by starting a conversation you might be rewarded with the ultimate experience in Murano. Later on we went to another demonstration, but that was like watching the circus clowns of Murano compared to the experience we got here. Find this place and go. Every day will be different, as they do commissions. You will not know what it is until you get there.

We stumbled upon this place during our day in Murano and it was an awesome find! Not only is the property and their glass work cool - nicely maintained yet with an industrial vibe - but the staff was so great. While we watched the glass makers practicing their craft we noticed another family step behind the viewing area and begin to make a glass piece. We decided to inquire with the front desk about what experiences they offer. They said they generally take bookings in advance, but they’d check to see if they had a glass maker available. Within a few minutes, the woman came back and let us know they had someone who could make a piece with us…..and so we took the opportunity! Our kids (10 & 12) were excited to be able to make their own piece for our family and now we have the best souvenir (that they made)!

It was such a good experience and we recommend this place - whether you want to buy a piece from their shop, make a piece for yourself or just want to see the process!

My family and I had a trip of a lifetime visiting three cities in Italy. Our visit to the Wave Murano Glass factory was a highlight. We came upon the factory on a last-minute recommendation and even without a tour we were 'warmly' invited to watch the artisans blow glass. The synergy and camaraderie between them were as wonderful to watch as their amazing skills and stunning creations. One of the artisans that had just completed a tour answered our questions with such kindness and joy in what they do, that he left us genuinely moved. Definitely make this one of your stops in Murano and try to get on one of the tours.

The experience was amazing. Our guide/instructor Anna was a gem! She was perfect. Loved her enthusiasm and personality. Everyone at Wave was friendly and accommodating. Our family really enjoyed the whole experience and got to take home the best souvenirs. The hand blow glass we made is absolutely priceless. I highly recommend!

This studio is very busy. The scale of their ongoing projects is such that you are learning in the middle of a fast paced and dynamic glass studio, yet they manage to thoroughly educate you as best they can within the span of about 3 hours. Glassblowing takes years to learn even at a beginners level so they propose 3 feasible works and let you watch the difficult parts and do the easier ones. Our group had Benjamin who was super personable and really knowledgeable. It was encouraging, satisfying and very informative. Coolest part is the utter range of things they do with glass at Wave so you can see the versatility of this craft and art with a great and storied legacy in it’s own hometown, Murano.

You get really upfont and personal with the glass-blowing craft when you visit Wave in Murano. The chance to draw molten glass out of a blisteringly hot furnace, then blowing and shaping it while it remains plastic. Our tutors were very patient and helpful, and the four hours went by in a flash. You are not pestered to buy stuff. You cannot collect your finished work of art until the next day as it needs to cool, but they will despatch anywhere within days if you've left Venice.I got a real sense of achievement at my glass tumbler. If you have time while in Venice, do this.

This was a hidden gem. They give free access to their factory to see the full glassmaking process. We were made to feel welcome and no pressure to shop afterwards although we did as you can guarantee that what you buy is genuine Murano glass. Forget the expensive tours go and see this lovely company and, if you have time, you can arrange a glass blowing beginners experience.

This experience was a dream come true! I have always wanted to try glass blowing, and there was no better place I could imagine than Wave Murano. My sister and I had Hilary for an instructor along with 2 other people. She was AMAZING. So kind, patient, helpful and informative. We got to see the staff in action as well as making our own glasses which they shipped home to us. If I ever go back, I would do this again in a heartbeat, and cannot recommend it enough to anyone interested in giving glassblowing a try!

Our family was so excited to be able to book this glass blowing class, we were all looking forward to it and hoping it would meet our expectations. Our instructor was Hillary and she was so amazing! She explained the process and showed us the furnaces…this place is a true working glass studio…they are working and making glass all around you.

We were shown the basics of the process and Hillary patiently helped each one of us create and craft an individual work of art (ok, art should be reserved for what they create but we will treat it as art because it was so fun and special).

This experience exceeded all of our expectations, and will be one of our most memorable parts of our trip. Would recommend this to anyone interested in bringing home a memory and a treasure.

Thank you Hillary and thank you Wave Murano!

Initially, we booked a tour to go through the glass factory. The price for the tour was more than other places around the island. However, after reading several reviews for Wave Murano Glass Factory and other places, I was convinced that this was where we wanted to go. I had been to Murano many years ago as a child, and my husband had never been, so we wanted to book somewhere where we could actually learn a bit more than what other factories were offering in their "5-minute demonstrations". And we surely did learn a lot! The tour was led by one of the artists, (unfortunately, I do not recall her name) she was very knowledgeable and we saw many places within the factory. When we were there most of the team was working on a bigger project, and it was very interesting to see them all work in tandem. After the tour, we enquired about the quick course to blow our small vase. Luckily it was possible to do, and we enjoyed this even more than the tour! It was a very hands-on experience and truly made us appreciate the artists' skills even more! They make it look so easy, but it is not!!! Another artist was our "teacher" and she too was very knowledgeable!
If you're considering booking the course, or just the tour, do not hesitate to. You will learn a lot at this relatively new, but very modern glass factory!

We wanted to see how the beautiful Murano/Venetian glass pieces were made on our visit to Murano. We expected to pay to see this but stumbled upon Wave and it offered free viewing. We walked past the shop to the rear of the property and watched the glass blowers in action. Amazing.

Not only that, we watched a customer make his own drinking cup with the direction of a professional. She guided him through the process of heating the glass, rotating, adding colour, blowing and shaping, until he had made a cup. Which he got to take home the next day after it cooled down.

The products in the shop are very unique. Modern and very beautiful. It’s so easy to get to Murano on your own and the shops offer much more intricate items than you’ll find in the gift shops in Venice. Worth a visit.
