Get picked up at your hotel or other accommodation in Bayeux and head for your first stop – Camembert.
Taste authentic Camembert cheese at the last farm in the village, where they take the raw milk and produce the famous soft cheese. Sample some of their cheese washed down with some cider.
Next, visit a dairy to find out the differences between various cheeses and how they process the raw milk they receive. If you have chosen to upgrade the tour experience to include lunch, that is the next stop – outdoors in a nearby town (weather permitting). The meal is meant for people without any dietary restrictions, and is all locally-made food products.
Change your focus to beverages in the afternoon as you learn more about Normandy's rich history of crafting well-known drinks from pears and apples – including calvados, pommeau, and hard apple and pear ciders. Stop at a cider farm or a wine-focused cider maker, depending on the schedules of each producer.
At the conclusion of the tour, return to Bayeux where you'll get a little surprise.
