    Great views of Table Mountain
To see local views from above gave a different perspective of Cape Town's overall landscape. I did the twenty minute ride instead of the ten minute ride which paid off nicely. The clouds around Table Mountain dispersed and I got to see the iconic mountain in full view.

    It went around!
I am not sure what else to say other than that it went around! An iconic staple in the V&A Waterfront area, we headed straight here on our first night. The wait was short, the ride circular and the kids happy! It is sort of a must do if in town!

    Cape Town Ferris wheel.
Splendid location on the water front, good views of the harbour, visitors are photographed before they board and the photograph is awaiting your return. Price is 175 Rand for 4 spins, no reduction for old age pensioners unless they hold South African residency but free for children below 4 years of age.

    Thrilling
Amazing ride, absolutely gorgeous views of the city . We encounter some wind, which made the ride a yhriller as we rocked back and forth. But absolutely safe . A definite must do

Fantastic, highly recommend but you have to get transport, I used Uba. A tour guild takes you thru, you will probably have the company of medical students

Didn't learn as much as we hoped to
We were very interested to visit the Museum. You probably don't need to buy the 'Skip the Line' ticket as it wasn't busy when we got there. We were a bit disappointed in the museum; there are a lot of very moving accounts on the walls from some of the many people who were forcibly evicted from District 6. However, we couldn't read a lot of the accounts as it was quite dark in the museum. The contents of the museum are very visually striking ,but some of the information is a bit confusing. There was a section that we hoped would explain what the current situation is, but it didn't seem to do so. There are guides who will take you round the museum but we had missed the chance to join the last guided tour. So, I suggest you do a guided tour if you go to the museum to ensure you get the best out of it. We were able to find out more about the current situation re compensation etc, when we went on a walking tour of District 6 on another day.

A worthwhile day at the Jewish Museum and the Holocaust Centre, Cape Town
We visited the Jewish Museum and the Holocaust Centre (admission to that is free) on the same day; they are both on the same complex. We had booked 'Skip the Line' tickets for the Jewish Museum, but that probably isn't necessary as it wasn't busy. However, it's essential that you take Photo ID with you as you have to show this when you pass through security to get entry to any building on the complex -which includes the Garden Synagogue. The Museum was very interesting and the displays in the Holocaust Centre were among the best we've ever seen and we have been to quite a few. Allow plenty of time to see both. There is a nice café there .

I felt cheated out of my money.
Incompetence its best. The wheel was not at the V&A Waterfront. We were not notified prior and given the chance to change arrangements or get a refund.

    Fascinating tour, knowledgeable guide
This was a fascinating tour. We learned about the doctor, the patient, the donor, the preparations, the procedure, and the aftermath of the world's first heart transplant surgery. Highly recommend.

    Very good and AMAZING.
We were allowed into the Castle very quickly and could start our visit. We had to have our tickets scanned and that took some time. Others who did not have to stand in the line, were in before us. Can this be made quicker or less admin?

Not worth it IMO especially if you are a solo traveller. You will spend time rushing from place to place to make it worth it. Tour buses can be inconvenient and frustrating to wait for - it’s far easier to use Uber for getting around. Also, they stop at 1630. I tried getting on one for a journey at 1600 and the bus driver told me it was a single use tour which I should start early in the day? I thought I could use the buses for transport any day, it seems not. Entry to museums and galleries does not cost much besides, so the pass is unnecessary. The Stellenbosch wine and cycling tours were a major reason to get the pass, but it turns out but they will not arrange tours for single travelers. So I can’t do any of those. This was hugely disappointing. I did the sunset boat cruise, it was nothing special at all. Overall I’ve paid a lot for a couple of 100 rand drinks vouchers and entry to a few galleries. I also paid for the Premium pass to do the shark tour and saw no sharks. It’s just how it is sometimes. Overall disappointed and would definitely not recommend.

Thank you for your review, we appreciate all feedback we receive from our customers, and I would like to address each of your concerns. 1. Most of our customers are either solo or couples and there is no need to rush from place to place to make it worthwhile as you only need to visit 4 attractions over 3 days to save on entrance fees. We have customers who have saved over 70% of entrance fees. The potential to save money does depend on what you want to visit, so if your primary reason for the pass is to visit museums then the pass is certainly not for you, as you correctly state that they are relatively inexpensive. The entrance fees are listed online, on our brochures and guidebooks so you can determine before you purchase whether it is viable. 2. The tour buses depart on schedule every 20 min from each stop so there is very little waiting time 3. The buses do not stop operating at 16:30. The last departure time is 16:30 and continue on route until 18:00. Contrary to what you state, you can use the buses for the period the pass is valid, i.e., a 3-day pass will give you free transport on the buses for 3 consecutive days. 4. Certain attractions do have minimum entry requirements such as the cycling tour in Stellenbosch (min of 2 guests) of which we make very clear 5. Whilst most customers do get to experience sharks up close, unfortunately it is not something we can guarantee of which we also make very clear

We purchased a 5-day CT city pass, with the HOHO bus. This was really worth the purchase for sightseeing, as lwell as our first trip to Capetown! It included top attractions like Table Mountain, a sunset champagne cruise, and plenty of boat cruises around the harbor and Seal Island to name a few. The one pass allows you to have fun, thrilling, romantic (all in one) experiences! Bonus with the pass are food and drink "vouchers" that you could use, This was really beneficial and the food options are delicious meals! We also did a few wine, gin, and beer tastings along with the thrilling Sky Hi ride! With the 5 days pass we had, we basically did over 30 activities from this package and saved over R2000 per person!

Along with the good, there has to be some bad, but not really all that bad, depending on your preference and what you would like to do, The HOHO bus can take some time getting you around, especially if you have made bookings and appointments. We actually only used the bus on one day to get to Hout Bay and back. It was easier and quicker and more convenient for us to drive around or Uber as some of the places that come with the package aren't exactly on the bus routes.

Also, we picked up that some places on the package aren't always opened, or the address info provided isn't updated with the "city pass" which made it a bit difficult to find or access certain places, with so many other things to do, it really isn't that much of an issue.

From our experience, purchasing this 5-day pass has allowed us to see so much and visit so many different areas in Capetown, allowed us to try new cuisine, and different bars, and experience so many other new things that we haven't done anywhere else in the country without breaking the bank!

If your budget allows, try out the premium experience, Im sure it will be worth it, I'm definitely doing it once I am back in Capetown!

Excellent value on the 5 day pass - around £90 including 5 days HOHO (blue, red and purple wine bus), frequent, 20 mins most, and often more on the areas where blue and red converge, and not full (although bear in mind it is Autumn now). 80 attractions, although you won't do them all (or want to do them all) and you would have to be really on it to get the full value. Best for us was Groot Constantia, table mountain, sunset tour, sunset cruise, we also availed of the free lunches which were great. Bear in mind that the loops are quite large (over 2 hours for the blue, over an hour for the red). Good recorded commentary in multiple languages. Staff lovely and helpful, loos in the main office in V & A. In 5 days the equivalent would have cost us over £200. Helpful booklet. We bought ours in advance and downloaded and printed, only to find that only the best scanners could cope with the paper copy, but we had a phone copy of the barcodes, and this worked fine. Safe place to see things.

I recommend getting a City Pass. It covers admission into so many things such as the cable car up Table Mountain. It gets you discounts on other things such as a guided wine region tour. When you get your hop on hop off (HOHO) bus ticket, you are given some headphones to keep which you plug into the jack at your seat and it narrates the route. You may sit outdoors up top or indoors down below. It was a joy just taking the blue route all the way around. The drive is very scenic and if you see something you wanna check out, simply hop off. Note: If you want to get the discount when making a booking after you already purchased your pass you would need to make that booking in person at one of the City Pass help desks which is on the HOHO route anyway. It's easy and the staff are very helpful.

This was a god send and a great way to.see the city. Just a shame that the bus only goes one way round. We were lucky that our hotel wad just a couple of minutes walk from one of the stops. The guy on at the cape wheel couldn't get our passes to scan, so went on a bit of a wild goose chase to see what the problem was, but they were scanning and working fine everywhere else. I was also surprised to find they didn't gain entry to the botanical garden, so our visit here was an extra expense. We visited a lot of sights and as we had the premium pass went on the shark dive too (though we had to pay extra for the transportation). While it's definitely a worthwhile expense it could be made better by having the buses run both directions and have them run a little later into the evening. All of the bus drivers were brilliant very friendly and helpful as were the staff in the Information offices.

The Hop On Hop Off bus transport including the Cape Town city pass is by far the best way to tour/see all of the best must visit places/attractions in and around Cape Town. Once you purchase the city pass, you will be provided with a booklet of all of the attractions that you can choose from for the entire day. I think that the city pass is totally worth it!

What a waste of money. App does not work as they have not updated it. Most places do not accept the pass you want to visit. Weather was bad so cable car did not run so pass waste of time. Lost a considerable amount of money. Buses did not run to times on bus stops. They do not respond to contact by email. Next time I think smart pass may be more convenient and far cheaper. They are very responsive by whatsapp

This was such a good experience, reliable service and friendly staff that got us everywhere we wanted to be. We probably didn't get full value out of ticket as we were very tired after an overnight flight so didn't do the sunset cruise as planned on Day one but we thoroughly enjoyed everything we did, especially the purple wine bus route. A great way to see the city in a short time.

We were most impressed with the excellent narratiion and routes the bus took. The weather the day we went was outstanding and the views around Cape Town were superb. Even got to go up Table Mountain for the iconic views of the city and Robben Island
