David is such a nice guy, amazing teacher and knew exactly how to challenge us but don’t go to far. We had an amazing time with friends.

My wife and I had a brilliant two days climbing with Dave. We were beginners and he was able to get us up and running really quickly - so lots of time on the crags and only minimal waiting around! Overall Montagu is a really beautiful location too - all in all a highly recommendable experience!

My partner and I spent half a day climbing with Dave on Boxing Day. Dave is a very able and safe climber and a pleasure to spend the day with. We chatted about all manner of things, including our holiday plans and he made recommendations for the rest of our trip. He picked out great routes suitable for our level and the conditions, resulting in a wonderful morning of climbing. We heartily recommend climbing with Dave!

David is an excellent guide for climbing. He knew the routes very well, assessed our abilities perfectly and gave us the opportunity to try out routes of varying difficulty.

We had an amazing 2 days with Dave. The first day we went rock climbing, where as absolute beginners he made us feel very safe. After having stayed over in his guesthouse, the 2nd day we did an amazing 40k bike ride through the area. Being experienced cyclists, but beginners on the mountainbike, Dave picked a great route for us, with some nice downhill bits, but not too technical. We had an absolute blast! Thanks again for a great stay!

We had a great experience with Route 62 Mountain Adventures. The mountain bikes were in good condition and the owner David is very friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend!

Dave took us on a half day rock climbing tour which was the best experience we had in South Africa so far. The view from the top and the challenge to get up there were just the perfect dose of adrenaline for us. It was our first time to do rock climbing but with Dave we felt super safe as he is very professional, encouraging, well-organised and provides newish equipment of good quality. The cherry on the cake was his kind and down-to-earth personality and his great sense of humour. All in all 100% recommendable!

I did a half-day sport climbing session with Dave and I can only recommend it. Dave is very good at estimating what routes might be for you. He challenges you, but in a very achievable way. Moreover, he is a very good and professional instructor. He teaches you rope techniques, gives you tips during your climb on what to look out for and is extremely patient when you get stuck. Moreover, you feel at ease the whole time during the chats as a break, but not unimportantly also on the wall, because you know that if you fall, he will catch you safely. Thank you Dave, for the instructive climbing session!

Me and my partner when climbing with Dave last year and it was fantastic. He knows the area well and was able to find us a shaded place to climb even though it was very hot outside. The experience was also catered to our climbing ability as he found us the best routes to complete. Dave is accommodating and makes for a very enjoyable experience. We would definitely climb again if we ever end up in the area again.

My boyfriend couldn’t have asked for a better Climbing experience. David, our guide, was very experienced and we always felt we were in safe hands. He chose great routes that suited the differing levels of experience between my boyfriend and I, and is just a lovely guy to spend a morning with! Highly recommend the rock climbing in the area generally, and especially recommend route 62 mountain adventures as a great choice to guide you. Would definitely climb with them again if I’m ever back in the area.
