We initially wanted to go to Toa Luau but it was fully booked during our visit. We did a lot of searching to try to find a luau that wouldn't be too cheesy. We were so fortunate that there were same day openings at the Paradise Cove Luau. While it was extremely large and produced, overall we had a great time and were very happy with our experience.

You receive a shell lei (if you are in the least expensive tier) and very weak mai tai upon entrance. They have photographers that will take your photo and they are available for purchase later. You are given a $12 credit per person to spend on drinks, photos, or anything in the gift shop. You can play some games while you wait for things to start. There was an interactive hula performance before the unearthing of the pig. You get to enjoy a beautiful sunset before dinner.

Dinner was served just before the show began. The sections were called one by one to the buffet lines, which moved quickly. As of March 2022 you can serve yourself at the buffet. The food was good, plentiful, and there are many options to suit different dietary needs.

The highlight of the night was the show. They really deliver on an almost 2 hour full performance with dance and music. Yes, it is produced, but these performers really worked their asses off. The music and dancing were wonderful.

Maybe the drink lines were long? My partner and I don't drink so it didn't matter too much for us. There were quiet times and my partner easily got a soft drink during dinner. There are big water and coffee coolers set up to serve yourself, which was very convenient.

$125 is a lot of money but for a buffet and hours of culture and entertainment it was definitely worth it. The staff we interacted with were all super friendly. We had a great time at this Luau.

This was a great experience. We got the deluxe package and I do think it enhanced the experience. We had perfect seating right in the front. We had table service for food and drinks. And the package came with a great photo and lei. This was my first luau and I think I spoiled myself by doing this experience. I felt very pampered. The location is great right by the water and the photographers take great photos!

I must be honest, I am not a luau expert but it felt like a very curated manicured dinner show. I went in not really know what an authentic luau is and with the understanding that this a big production. With that said they really do pull it off flawlessly. The party starts on the bus with the funny bus hostess. Once at the location there are cool things to do while waiting for the show and food. The show is well paced. After the whole experience and learning more about what a luau is I feel like they do a good job hitting all the major story points of a luau.

My only complaint, and it did not impact me much once we got our sever was the drink line. The only reason I am not giving this 5 stars is because they told us on the bus that drink lines get super long and you should get them early. IMO if you know this is an issue you should work to address it instead of telling people that you may spend alot of your time at the luau waiting fo a drink if you don't get them early.

Our family of 4, with two children under 10, really enjoyed the whole evening. We did the luau with transportation and our tour guide was awesome! Siya, was funny while being warm and friendly as well. All the dancers had great energy, but the "Chief" with fire was truly impressive!

I purchased tickets several weeks ago for my family for our trip in June. Tickets were paid for. They send me an email 3 weeks out and say they have oversold the night and I can either pay more and upgrade my ticket or cancel for a refund. Sounds like bait and switch to get more money (already paid over $500!). I canceled and they could not care less! Bad service...not very Hawaiian Friendly! Blaming it on Covid however we already had tickets for a few weeks!

Aloha,
We apologize and regret to inform you that unfortunately our luau is sold out for the date you are booked, your booking has been confirmed and added to our oversold list at this time. We are contacting all guest on this list and as a courtesy we will offer a few options to try and accommodate you. Please keep in mind that during this time of restriction due to covid we are only limited space and open at a limited capacity, and we are manually keeping track of our seating. Please contact us to confirm our options for you to choose from. Please call us as soon as possible to make changes or to get your full refund. Very bad experience, low point if our trip. It’s nice that they drive you there and back but we could have done without the cheap jokes and mic entertainment for the hour long trip. The venue is pretty and they organize cute activities while you wait for food and the main event, but half of the activities were closed, and the ones that were open had a long line of people waiting, we only managed to do two out of them due to long lines. The worst part was the food - high school cafeteria level or worse. Think Fyre festival kind. The fish was so bad my husband thought it was an omelet. The dance show was overall cheap with a few highlights, but most of the dances looked incredibly simple like any of the guests could have learned the steps in a half hour before the show. Drinks were not included, and they were very bad. And another hour of cheap jokes on the way back.. I feel like we waisted time and money and I will not recommend this venue to anybody.

It was a cool experience and to learn about the different dances and see the show but it was hugely commercialized and a huge tourist money grab. The food was ok at best and the drinks were kind of expensive for what you got. The lines for the bar were always long as well. The whole experience should have been about 2-3 hours shorter as well. Got pretty repetitive and boring after a bit. There was a nice spot to take photos especially during sunset as well that you could take your own photos and not have to spend money on theirs.

For $125 we expected very good traditional food&drinks and an impressive show. Instead, we got food that tasted worse than airplane food and a show that you normally get for free in an all-inclusive hotel.

The food included heated frozen vegetables, some dry chicken, and an old cupcake for dessert. You could pick up your plate in the back, so there was no friendly plateservice. Only one drink was included.

The dancers in the show were not coordinated or synchronized at all. The moves were easy and I honestly think that anyone could have done that. The only slightly impressive thing was the guy dancing with fire and the pretty outfits.

The overall experience was bad. You were surrounded by at least 200 tourists and there was nothing authentic about it at all.

I would suggest to spend your $125 in a good local restaurant where you can drink 10 cocktails and have a real conversation about Hawaiian culture for the same price.

I join so many others who felt ripped off by this ruse of a luau. It was nothing like it is depicted on their website. For our $300+ for the two of us, we were escorted to our table and told to read and follow the rules that were printed on a paper at the table. They told us no drinking while not at our table. Then we watched like 4 dances over where a "pig" was in the ground and they explained that. From there we were ushered to just in front of the bathrooms where they showed how to hula. After that we were told to go sit down.

Upon sitting we had a cardboard box dropped in front of us and it was the salad. At this time some guys walked by with the "pig" that was supposed to be our food at the buffet later. Ten minutes later they told people the buffet was open. It was not a buffet. They were grabbing pre-plated meals out of warmers.

The food was sub-par and you could tell it had sat in the warmers for a while. We were hungry so we ate the food while watching a very limited scaled-down version of the show with only a few dancers and an MC that sounded very forced on the microphone.

We fully understand the whole covid thing, but if you are going to gut the whole experience you should also scale back the pricing to reflect that or at least make it clear that you will not be getting what is advertised.

I should have listened to the reviews. We went to the Paradise Cove luau back in 2019 and had a great time. Good activities, good food. So when we decided to see the Paradise Cove luau again when we visited Oahu. Big disappointment. First you can only enter the place if you are vaccinated or show a negative covid test AND go through a temp check yet you have to be masked outside 100% of the time. There is a "covid guard" who walks around yelling at everyone to put your mask on and stay 6 feet away. We were seated right where everyone walked in so chose to stand in a more secluded spot. Had our drinks with us so they wouldn't be left unattended at the table but the "covid guard" said that was unacceptable. I explained that as a woman, we are taught to never leave a drink unattended. He just replied "for the safety of everyone you have to keep your drinks at the table" Apparently my safety is not important - we weren't drinking our drinks and were actually SAFER in this more secluded spot vs being maskless where all attendees walked in. Food was one plate per person so you received a small sampling of each item which sucks if don't like something ( ex: I'd prefer two servings of pulled pork instead of 1 pulled pork and 1 chicken) so we left hungry. Show was just ok. Overall this place has drastically reduced in quality over the last 2 years. Don't make my mistake - go somewhere else.

From the moment you get picked up to arrive you get treated like cattle. They start with some good threats of kicking people out, stopping the show and yelling at you. Horrible treatment. You're outside on a beach and cannot be unmasked OUTSIDE, but they did you on table with every one else all huddled close and there you can be without a mask...
