A great day out
Sep 2019
The day was long but it didn't feel it - so many interesting facts about the volcano and nature of the area, it was fascinating. Jann was knowledgeable and full of stories, we were kept going with snacks and lunch was a great team event. The mountain and scenery itself was stunning and the clouds cleared just in time.

Fantastic Guide=Perfect Day
Oct 2019 • Solo
I loved my trip to Mount St. Helens. It was absolutely a perfect day! Marisa was our guide and we had six people in our group. She was extremely knowledgeable and fully understood the needs of each of her guests.
The van ride was comfortable and the breakfast, lunch and snacks were all delicious. I highly recommend this trip.

Great Experience
Sep 2019
While in Seattle did the day trip to Mt. Saint Helens. Jeff our tour guide was incredible. Great knowledge of the geographic area as well as all of the natural environment. We were part of a small group of three which made it even more personal. Food, drinks were provided as well as many rest stops as needed. A long day with some serious hiking but well worth it in every respect.

Fascinating Day Tour
Aug 2019
We really enjoyed this tour. Marissa, our guide, picked us up at the hotel and took very good care of us for the day. The van was comfortable, which is very important to me as I have back problems and was a bit concerned about the long day, but it was not a problem. The tour was spectacular, probably the highlight of our 3 week trip! We learned so much about the volcano. Lunch was great. Do take this tour if you are interested in volcanoes.

Mt St Helens tour
Sep 2019 • Solo
I had wanted to see Mt St Helens for many years, not knowing what to expect from the place. Fortunately the tour by Evergreen Escapes from Seattle took us to all the right places, demonstrating just how much devastation the volcano caused to the landscape. Jeff, our guide, was a fountain of knowledge to learn about the geography and the personal stories of those affected by the eruption, as well as the history of the Cascade range. From this experience, I would return to the area again to see more of Washington with Evergreen tours.

Great day getaway from Seattle
Aug 2019
The day trip from the Seattle area was wonderful. The trip showed multiple areas around the Mt St Helens monument which allowed a little for everyone. Our tour guide, Jeff, was wonderful with his knowledge, making sure everyone was pleased with the experience, and told wonderfully bad jokes. He made sure that everyone got to have the experience they wanted when we were up on the ridge especially since I was one of the only ones in our group seriously interested in hiking. Overall the trip was great and I would recommend Evergreen Escapes to anyone.

Evergreen Escap...
Hi lplikuhn! Thank you for this fantastic review! Your comment about Jeff's bad jokes really made me laugh! Our guides work hard to find the balance between their guests' diverse interests and activity levels. I'm glad that you were able to get the hiking in that you were looking forward to and experience Hurricane Ridge your way! Thank you so much for your recommendation! We hope you'll travel with us again! Clare, Evergreen Escapes

Mt St Helens
Jul 2019
We took a tour to Mt St Helens National Monument, the second of three tours we’ve booked with Evergreen Escapes for this week. Our guide (Jann) was amazing! Jann made the entire day exciting and fun. She is an interactive, participating guide who is very knowledgeable about what she does—and has a passion for it, too! Our first stop was the Lewis and Clark State Park where we saw a forest not touched by the volcano....the Douglas fir trees were huge. Next stop was the Sediment Retention Structure trail where we saw the man made dam of....you guessed it, sediment. We continued our journey to Mt St Helens and we weren’t sure if we would get to see it through the clouds but by the time we got there it was blue skies. We even saw Mt Adams. We stopped at the Johnston Ridge Observatory and took a hike where we saw so many wild flowers. We could also see the damage from the eruption almost 40 years ago. After that we had a picnic lunch at Birth of a Lake trail and hiked along the Coldwater Lake. Our last stop was to see the devastation from the eruption and the Buried A-Frame house....oh yeah, Bigfoot was there too. 😊 We highly recommend Evergreen Escapes!

Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier
I went to both Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier with Evergreen Escapes. Both days were amazing. We hiked up to where there was snow on Mt. Rainier and at Mt. St. Helens did a few easier hikes with great views of the mountain. Clayton and Marisa were excellent guides and I can’t recommend these tours enough. Plenty of food and beverages, lots of interesting facts. If I’m ever back in Seattle I’ll be sure to check out the Olympic Park tour.

Really wonderful day and experience
Jul 2019
Enjoyed a great day with our guide Jann. We were well taken care of. Had an enjoyable time with the other 8 guests and learned so much about Mt. St Helens and its surroundings and history. One of the best days of our whole trip from Germany to Alaska, Seattle and Calgary. Thanks a lot.

You did us proud!
Jul 2019 • Solo
Travelled in comfortable transport with plenty of explanations of what was around us on the trip. Jeff was very mindful and courteous, looked after us with consideration and kindness. A wonderful place to visit, and get a better insight into the power of the natural world.
The snacks were excellent, nothing too much trouble and the picnic lunch was delicious and plentiful. Think we got through those pretzels... Sorry Jeff! Payback for some of the jokes, but keep 'em coming.
We were taken care of brilliantly from picking up to dropping off. What an interesting, well informed guy and a real credit to the company. Thanks so much.
