Gorgeous scenery
I enjoyed this tour very much. The driver, Billie, was full of interesting stories regarding the history of the area.
We stopped at Bridal Veil Falls and my son actually proposed to his girlfriend. To say this was a memorable excursion is an understatement!
I highly recommend this to everyone. I am from Florida and this was my first visit to Alaska, but will not be my last. The views were breathtaking.

Enjoyable ride
Aug 2021
We took this ride only 14 miles out from Skagway as a bridge is out and you can't go any further we were told. The price on here lists as $50 but we paid approx. $100 on the ship to do this trip of 14 miles. We did see beautiful scenery and we did enjoy it but we should have booked it on our own ahead of time and saved half the price. It was nice to stand outside the rail car and enjoy the scenery from there but then you can't hear what is being said about the environment.

A great tour with loads of info and stunning scenic stops! Worth the money!
Jul 2021
We took the Klondike White Pass Tour WITH Gold Panning in Skagway off our cruise ship Miracle on July 30th. Our tour guide , Billie, was friendly and informative and gave us great information that made our trip very enjoyable. We drank glacial water fresh from the waterfall and stopped many times to take pictures of breathtaking views. I highly recommend this tour and this company which we booked NOT through Carnival, but as an independent. The panning was fun, too.... This is a family owned and run business, and they do a great job!

Make a Memory
Terrific scenic ride through the area, with wonderful historical notes from Zane, our tour guide! Because the train turns around, both sides have terrific views. We toured an area that supported the gold rush, and learned how this railway system was built. Beautiful vistas with soft green water snaking through the rocks and trees. Gentle motion made it pleasant, not scary. When we were done, we toured the town. It was a fabulous way to learn about the area.

We had a great tour! The weather was perfect and we could see for miles. This trip wasn't as expensive as the train. My friends took the train and were actually wishing they had joined us because we could see more and we were able to get out and take photos.

White Pass and Bus Tour
Aug 2019 • Couples
The train ride had incredible scenery and was breathtaking. The train went along sides of mountains and through tunnels where the landscape was picturesque. The train cars were not full and provided a lot of opportunity to move about and get great shots. Water was provided and was a nice touch.
John, our guide, ensured we got on the train and was there when we arrived in Fraser, BC. The bus ride back to Skagway was very informative as John provided an array of history and stories about the various scenery and landmarks as we headed back on our 30-40 minute ride to town. He also stopped at a couple of sites so we could get great pictures.
Would definitely recommend this tour if visiting Skagway on any cruise ship!

a very nice trip on a budjet

The bus was in time. Our guide was very nice and helpful, full of great stories.
It didn't hurt that he reminded me of Stan Lee
It's MUCH cheaper that the tours offered by the cruise lines. You are picked up at the docks

We took the shorter tour but... i would suggest taking the longer tour that takes you deeper in to Canada.. I was not too thrilled when out bus turned back and the other buses kept going :)
We did see a bear on the way back but most of the other wild life was as we drove by.
Even though it was the shorter tour, it was worth the money. Of course the scenery was absolutely beautiful. .

Great tour with Brian
Our Norwegian ship docked in Skagway and the tours offered by the ship didn’t look too good so went on Trip Advisor and booked this tour. Brian, our guide was waiting right outside the exit area for private, non ship affiliated tours. Everything went perfectly smooth. Brian is very proud of his town and loved to tell the history from a person who lives year round in Skagway, not just a summer seasonal guy. We drank water coming right off the glacier, went into BC via Highway. All I can say is that the tour and time was well worth the $39. It was worth much more.
