We enjoyed our tour of the French Quarter with Elliot. Being the only ones that signed up for our time slot, we actually ended up getting a private tour—which was great, because it allowed us to ask all the questions we wanted and focus on what we were interested in. Elliot was

Thank you for taking the time to write such a thorough review. I am glad that you enjoyed the tour, but Eliot and I both regret that it only warranted an "average" rating. I assure you that Eliot is indeed passionate about New Orleans. No one could have as much information about a city as he does, or be able to answer questions and customize a tour like he did if they did not deeply love the place. Obviously, his passion did not shine through on your tour. Maybe it was because you couldn't see his smile behind his required mask! In any case, it seems that you learned a lot, got some good recommendations, and probably kindled your own passion for this fabulous place in your time here. I am just sorry that your experience did not live up to your expectations. We strive to make all our guests delightfully surprised, and that did not happen for you. Hopefully, you'll come back and let us try to show you how much we really do all love our city! Libby

Joos was a great guide and was able to adapt the tour to make it interesting and entertaining for all in our group. Every question that was asked was followed up with him taking us to a location and a story. The tour was a great length and was the perfect pace.

Joos is like Mary Poppins the way he can pull out just the right story at just the right time for just the right group. He is so smart and friendly and just makes every one of his guests feel comfortable. He may not be from here, but he captures the spirit of hospitality that New Orleans is known for. Thank you for leaving this excellent review, and please come tour with us again! Libby

Our tour guide, Joos, was great! His passion and enthusiasm for the city and his knowledge of the history made two hours fly by and left us wanting more. I lived in New Orleans for many years and Joos brought a new perspective and taught me a lot about the city I love so much.

Great review! We really appreciate all reviews, but great ones like this from people who have lived here count as ten stars. Anyone who has lived in New Orleans feels very strongly about this incredible place, and if we can add to their knowledge, we deserve to treat ourselves to some gumbo, pralines, king cake, beignets, or shrimp remoulade (or all of the above). Please come walk with us again in another neighborhood in this city that we all love. Libby
