Not sure if he could read the crowd as it seemed there were others not so interested as he was babbling on and the crowd was sweltering in the midst of the night. We bagged and left early.Written 31 August 2024

- Companion1513230 contributionsGreat for children!Prism is so sweet, but she’s a bit long winded. The history piece of the “haunted” walk was too lengthy and in some instances off subject. We came out to hear about haunted places, locations, or just scary stories. The tour felt more geared to children. It was very animated and borderline annoying. If you are an adult who enjoys authentic non-fiction stories, this may not be the walk for you.Written 13 August 2024

We had a party of 12 people and booked a tour for the first weekend in August and were told there would be fewer than 30 in our group. On the day of the tour, we had rec'd several texts from the tour company reminding everyone of the mask requirement due to CoVid regulations. We all arrived early and waited around as a large crowd (60+) gathered at the entrance to a cemetery on the corner of a very busy intersection. NO ONE was wearing masks, including the one guide who was there. 15 minutes into our tour time, we were all still standing around watching the guide make frantic phone calls. After a lot of confusion, we were told that one of the guides didn't show up and that we would all be combined into one group. He told everyone to gather in closely and huddle together and he would try to talk louder so that everyone could hear, as cars and city buses continued to whiz by. Well, half the crowd couldn't hear a word he said and crowding together without masks was a serious risk that we were unwilling to take. After a group of us explained to the guide that we were not going to continue, as this is not what we had paid for and we didn't feel safe in such a large group, he suggested we contact the office to reschedule or request a refund. The person in our group that had made the reservation, contacted the office right then and was first told there are no refunds but we were welcome to reschedule. However, that was our last night in the city and were all leaving the next day. After several days of fighting, threats of bad reviews by all twelve of us and being reported for CoVid violations, they finally relented and said they would issue a refund, but it would take 3-4 weeks to process. After that time passed with no refund, they stopped taking his calls. Thankfully, he was finally able to get the charges reversed by his credit card company.
They ruined what was to be the best night of our trip. I would steer clear of these folks. Plenty of other tours available.

We took The Beyond Good and Evil Tour. Our guide was Megan. She was fun and energetic. She told good stories and she mostly gave what sounded like factual information. The major distraction with the tour was Megan spent a good deal of time scrolling through her phone looking for photographs she had of reported ghost and spirits taken at some of the places we stopped at. Once the photo was found, which took several minutes in some cases, she would then take time to show the photo on her phone to all 20 people on the tour. This is not a bad thing except that much of the time she could not go directly to whatever photo or video she was searching for and wasted a lot of tour time doing this, which in the end seemed to limit the number of “haunted” sites we got to. It would have been much better if she kept her photos organized in a sub folder(s) where she could get to them quickly. Better yet if she had a larger tablet instead of her small phone to store and display the photos with.

Preface: I love ghost tours because you get to hear the dark past of a city mixed in with local lore. They’re great.
This tour was just too cheesy to be enjoyed. The guide, bless her soul, wanted to be entertaining and appeared really engaged, but fell flat. Her jokes had no punch lines, her voice had no inflection, and you had to strain to hear her. If you ONLY want to hear spooky stories with no context as to the era, you may love this tour. If you enjoy learning something on these types of things, you will despise it.
By the end of the tour, we had lost a couple people who had long since lost interest and my wife and I walked away complaining about it with another couple who enjoyed it even less.

We had such a great time on our tour with Jessie. She was very good at not only entertaing us with the ghost stories, but also making sure we were together and safe. Before the tour started she left everyone know that this was a good time to use a bathroom if needed. Our group had a range of ages and fitness levels and she made sure to wait for everyone and point out tripping hazards. She also was very contiensous of the traffic while crossing busy streets. I would definitely recommend taking this tour. It is a wonderful way to see some more than historical and storied parts of Savannah

I really don’t like to leave reviews, but I must say, Beyond Good & Evil Tour deserves a good review and rating.
First and foremost, Thank You Jackie....You have presented the tour with a tremendous amount of knowledge of the city and I love your sense of humor!!!!. On a scale of 1 to 10, you deserve a 100. Period.
Jackie took the time to go over in detail some of the most haunted places in Savannah.
Jackie was informative, polite, funny & was eloquent. She made sure we understood the story at hand. The tour is well worth every penny. Definitely bring your walking shoes. We have taken a few pictures & video. Hopefully later on we can spot a ghost or two.
Thank You Jackie & Beyond Good and Evil Tours for a wonderful “Frightening” evening.

I attended one of the 10 pm tours on 10/23. I thought this would be a really cool thing to do while in Savannah but I was very disappointed. Our tour guide seemed like maybe she was really new or maybe she was just awkward in front of people? She was NOT a good storyteller and wasn’t able to keep my or my husband’s attention. She didn’t know how to make the stories interesting. She more told facts interjected with her making fun of herself for mispronouncing words and her own random opinions. We ended up cutting out early (as did at least one other group). I thought it could have been a really Interesting thing but was very let down by this experience.

The three of us were very excited to take this tour. Reading it has been voted one of the best tours in Savannah since 2012, we figured we couldn't go wrong, but we were along with being very disappointed. The tour was advertised as having "a unique blend of humor, the macabre, voodoo, ghosts, local folklore, and legends...". We spent about the first 30+ minutes just walking around outside of the cemetery while hearing boring stories, listening to jokes that fell flat with her very dry sense of humor about a few of individuals who lay there. She was clearly trying to be funny, but it was just incredibly boring, uncomfortable, and honestly, embarrassing. The tour advertisement gave the impression that you would actually get to stop and actually see a few of the place listed on the tour. We only walked past them and not even closely past them, for one of the houses we were in the middle of the park across the street.
We also felt like we were constantly being strung along. When someone asked about a bathroom break or a stop, we were told we would be passing by a tavern/location we could stop at quickly, but this never happened. She seemed to string us along mentioning places we could stop that never came to fruition. Maybe this was because she got sidetracked and often lost her train of thought due to her apparent state of either being drunk or high. We like to have a good time and are always up for a beverage, but you don't expect to pay $30+ for a tour where your tour guide is impaired. The way in which the tour ended was strange as well. She just stopped talking and asked us if we knew where we were so we could get back to our cars, hotel, etc. The only plus side was that we had a small group, for which none of the others seemed to be enjoying it either.

This tour was okay. Learned a lot of spooky history about Savannah. The tour guide was knowledgeable, but it was difficult to hear her for about half of the tour. They really play up seeing ghosts in windows, etc. but if you don't believe in ghosts that part will not interest you. Ending is quite far from beginning so keep that in mind if you are staying near downtown.

We're glad you enjoyed the content in your experience, even if it was hard to hear during certain points of the tour. Our guides try to project their voice in case of distracting noises surrounding the area, so it's unfortunate you couldn't experience that. We appreciate all feedback, and definitely will use this for future tour improvements! Thank you for the review.

This tour was the biggest disappointment of my life so far, and I’ve never left a complaint in my life.
It was uninteresting and uncomfortable.
The guide spent a lot of time on her phone showing us pictures, there were no facts or history, only (rather poorly conveyed) made up stories, and it felt like we were hearded around due to the 30+ size of the group.
I was very sad and bored during the tour.
I’d feel much better if it wasn’t so expensive, or if my complaints had been responded to. I’ve contacted the office but it seems they have not yet responded to my concerns. The tour was nothing like what it had portraid in the description, and I have requested my money back. I’m still waiting for a refund but never got to talk to a manager.

I went on a Sunday night thinking there would be less people and I was correct. I was one of 3 people on the tour that night. Zach our tour guide did a great job, was very knowledgeable, and because there was only 3 of us on the tour we were able to ask a lot of questions. We were also to talk with Zach about the tour, Savannah's history and culture.
