Overview
Most Savannah ghost tours stick to just basic ghost stories. This Savannah walking tour sets itself apart from others like it by diving into tales of real superstitions of the descendants of African-American slaves, as well as local legends, folklore, and haunted houses that are sure to leave you spooked. Plus, it’s all done by foot during one of the scariest times of the day: nighttime.
What to Expect
This Savannah ghost tour meets at Johnson Square in the Historic District at nighttime. The city seems extra spooky at night under the glow of lamp posts.

Take off from the square for a 90-minute tour. Follow your guide around the city as you stop by haunted houses and other creepy places. Your guide tells you stories to keep you entertained about the city’s unique past, including Gullah traditions and local legends. Hear about Savannah’s colonial past and a ghost or two that still lingers the streets from that time.

Your ghost tour in Savannah ends back at Johnson Square where it started.

Meh

The guide was late and merely counted the people who raised their hands. There were about 30 people on the tour which is way too many. It’s hard to hear unless you’re right up front due to all the action going on around you such...More

Total disappointment!

What bothered me most? The tour guide arriving 10 minutes late to start the tour, 60 people on a tour making it impossible to hear or get any level of intimate experience, not checking tickets which makes me tell someone to just join for free...More

Thank you for the review! Your guide was a few minutes late due to having to stop for an unexpected train coming into town. But we certainly appreciate your patience! There were 29 adults on the tour which is within the maximum number of guests...More

Great Tour and Guide

Pierce was an amazing guide. Informative and no B.S. Makes us want to go walk around more and look for spirits or ghosts. Only thing is he doesn't really look at you when he talks. He stares into the distance.

Great tour

Our tour guide, Pierce, was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller. The tour was about 1.5-1.75 hrs long and seemed to go by fast! Would recommend!

Absolutely. Depending on age of course, I’d say 9 years or older would find this tour fascinating. Just remember it is a ghost tour.
