Overview
Enjoy a scenic guided tour of the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway from Asheville without having to worry about driving or directions. Visit three waterfalls and take in the views of the mountain range as you listen to the natural history and culture of the area from your guide. Hike a few easy to moderate trails to explore the fauna of the area, including laurels and rhododendron through oak and hickory forests.
What to Expect

Start your tour with a pickup from your Asheville hotel before heading to Blue Ridge Parkway. This parkway follows some of the oldest mountains in the world, the Appalachian Mountain range, known for its scenic beauty.

Stop at Pisgah National Forest to view the first of three waterfalls while listening to a guide tell stories from the area.

Next, head to a state forest to visit the last two waterfalls before heading out on an easy to moderate hike through some of the oak and hickory forests. This hike is approximately 3.5 miles and comfortable shoes or hiking boots are recommended. Enjoy the falls while nibbling on light refreshments provided by the tour.

At the end of the tour, you are dropped back to your Asheville hotel.

I don’t know if the park allows swimming but the tour is not at a location long enough to let people swim. At the last and largest waterfall there is a rest and you could have a very quick get wet.

I have to admit I don’t remember the names of the waterfalls. Call Keith he always responds by days end. We stayed to view, take pictures, enjoy the surroundings for 10-15 minutes and moved on. Timing was great for our tour.
