Overview
See the San Francisco Bay from a remarkable perspective on this 2-hour sunset sailboat tour. Aboard the Privateer, you’ll glide across the water while savoring a complimentary glass of wine, beer or soda. Armchair adventurers and nature lovers will relish cruising past Alcatraz, Angel Island, Sausalito and the iconic Golden Gate, while romantics will delight in watching the sun set over the Bay.
What to Expect
You’ll begin your cruise at Pier 39, where you’ll meet your captain and first mate at 6pm. There, you'll board the sailboat Privateer and join a small group of no more than 28 passengers.

During the cruise, you can enjoy two complimentary drinks—your choice of beer, wine or soda—as you glide through the calm waters of the San Francisco Bay. You'll sail past Alcatraz and Angel island and see both spans of the Bay Bridge separated by the man-made Treasure Island. As you journey north, take in the vibrant green hillsides of Marin County and the houseboat communities of Sausalito.

Then, your captain will circle back toward Pier 39 and the San Francisco waterfront passing the Golden Gate Bridge as the sun sets into the Pacific. It’s the ideal time take a snapshot to remember your trip.

Great (but cold) experience!

This was so much fun! Do make sure to bring WARM clothes though -- we brought sweatshirts and it still was not enough. I would recommend winter coats... seriously!

Date Night on the Bay

Four years living in San Francisco, this was my first time out on the Bay! I wouldn't recommend waiting so long. Two hours of unreal views - up close with pelican packs, kite surfers, and the underside of the GGB. The boat pilots were cheerful...More

Amazing birthday boat ride!

I rented a charter sailboat for my birthday, and invited 28 of my friends to join. Because we wanted to save a bit of money, we decided to self-cater (booze & food). The captain made it very easy to set everything up, and even provided...More

Roughness depends on how windy it is. I have gone on three of these trips, and only one was terribly choppy.
