About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- AZ-Traveler852530 contributionsGreat time!Navigating the hills of SF via segway is the only way to go!!! Had a great time and loved seeing the neighborhoods around Pier 19.Written 30 June 2021
- Z3563EVnickf0 contributionsCity by SegwayWe thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour Segway tour with Loun. My girlfriend and I were already experienced with a Segway when we arrived at the City Segway Tours office. Loun soon realised that we knew what we were doing and as it was only the three of us, he tailored the tour accordingly. This was great for us, because it meant having done the normal route in quick time, we also went down Lombard Street. For those of you unfamiliar with San Francisco, that is famous for being the most crooked street in the US. Terrific fun. We also went up to Coit Tower, up a very steep hill. Loun is a good guide and we enjoyed his company. Do this tour.Written 10 February 2020
- 856daphnel0 contributionsSegway in SanFranThe office location was quite hard to find, need to add more directions. The video took out the fun & scared me instead. They have clean & complete equipments (helmet & gloves available) But Loun, the instructor/guide was kind enough to teach practical maneuvers. He's funny, accommodating (took us out for 3hrs instead of 2hrs 💪🏼 & gave us Ghirardelli chocolates 😁) though he doesn't know much of the history of SF. Tip: Know where you want to go & he can take you there.Written 2 February 2020
- PSanti0010 contributionsBest way to see the cityBest way to see the city. Specially that today’s a holiday so not so much cars and people on the street. Got to run the segway top speed so many times. Very relaxing as you are just gliding the whole time, own pace, plus as you get too see a lot more of the city vs walking. Josh was an awesome guide. Funny, full of sound effects yet very informative.Written 2 January 2020
- 324bridgeth0 contributionsSpectacular SegwayOur guide was fantastic! He took us all over the city and was very knowledgeable. We took on many hills to include Lombard St. Definitely, the way to see SF if you want to be adventurous. I highly recommend this tour.Written 27 December 2019
- kelciw20180 contributionsSegway FunWe enjoyed ourselves throughly! We had a detailed training and we very comfortable by the time we Hit The Road! Our guide was Lau and he was very helpful and taught us all about the neighborhoods and specifics about the area. He let us have fun and helped take pictures. We came away from this deciding to do Segway tours on ALL of our trips! Thanks Lau!!!Written 12 December 2019
- punammy0 contributionsCity Segway Tour was amazing!Definatly worth doing if you want to see all the sights of the city! Had a lot of fun on the segway and the tour guide Josh was amazing. Worth it! May book again in another cityWritten 1 December 2019
- alexjb30 contributionsFun tripGood outting and good experience. My son loved it and me too. I will go back at another time to try another route.Written 13 November 2019
- Aussie1fan0 contributionsWorth the moneyDay one we went to Alcatraz, interesting but pretty crowded. If you have mobility issues, your visit will be limited. Day two was the Segway tour, amazing! Our guide - Fima provided us with loads of interesting info, took us to all the sites and took pictures and videos for us. The ride down Lombard st was extra fun. I’ve been in a Segway many times but my boyfriend hadn’t tried before. Fima taught him in short order and neither of us had any problems, even on the steepest hills.Written 8 November 2019
- rachel B0 contributionsGet Casey as your guide!!!Really fun tour and a great way to see the city! Casey was SUCH a fantastic tour guide and made my first time on a segway easy and fun :)Written 31 October 2019
- CaseyD19830 contributionsSo fun—great guide, great tour!!I had Loun (sp?) as my guide. I was actually the only one on my tour so he gave me a private tour. He was great in telling me the history of the city and his own personal experience. I got a great understanding and tour of the city in two hours! We stopped by the Ghirardelli shop and got samples. He took some great pictures and even a video of me on the segway!! We even went down the crookedest street on Segway. Great time and I would definitely recommend!!!!Written 29 October 2019
- Dolke0 contributionsOur 50thWhat a great trip so funny when arrived i was scared and had sweaty palms 😂😂😂 🙈 seeing the city on a Segway was so much fun once we mastered what to do which is quite easy we were off for 3 hours would highly recommend ♥️♥️♥️♥️Written 20 October 2019
- jicart0 contributionsCasey is the best!!I had a fantastic time on my first segway experience last night thanks to my fabulous guide, Casey. Though hesitant at first, Casey quickly helped me build confidence on the device with his calm demeanor and guiding hand. Casey was not only skilled on his segway, but wonderfully insightful on the tour path, providing interesting context and history about numerous San Francisco landmarks (my favorite was Ghirardelli Square!). I've been a resident of the city for over a year and have never felt so connected to it. Thanks Casey!Written 18 October 2019
- brmchd0 contributionsThe best way to see San Francisco!I took a tour with Casey and had the best time! I had never ridden a Segway before, so I was a bit nervous about how the ride would go. But Casey took his time teaching us how to handle them and made us feel so comfy and confident. Casey was so friendly and very knowledgeable about the stops! I’ll always recommend this to those who are new to the city or locals wanting to see SF in a different way.Written 17 October 2019
- RickKristen0 contributionsOutstanding Combo experienceWhile we had to wait a bit to get confirmation of our Alcatraz tickets, let me tell you it was well worth the wait. the Alcatraz Tour was set up well and we enjoyed the prison tour with an audio tour guide. the best part for us and our 14 and 16 yo was the city segway tour. Fima was our guide. he emphasized safety first and all of us learned how to ride a segway in under 20 minutes. Then we were off on our tour. Fima had great stories to tell along the way. Stops @Ghardelli chocolate, a break water in the Bay for individual and group picture and Coit Tower were excellent. THE HIGHLIGHT though was getting to segway down Lombard Street. also, when your segway guide asks you if you want flat streets or hilly ones go for the hills!! Highly recommend the guys and gals at City Segway.Written 3 October 2019

Our family (including two teens) enjoyed a long weekend in San Francisco last summer and our 3 hour Segway tour of the city was an absolute highlight! In fact, it is really one of the best travel experiences we've had. This is such a great way to see this wonderful city! Our tour guide was superb and helped us see all the key sites. What is also great though is the thrill element of navigating the San Francisco hills on the Segway. I'm not sure I'll ever forget navigating down Lombard St. (or up the hill before it). Our kids still talk about it. An absolute highlight! Our experience with this touring group was superb....they focus on safety and training but also help you have a lot of fun. Highly, highly recommend!

Tour was great. The guide was Olivia from Ireland. Very personable. Very patient with teaching us how to Segway.
It’s a little tricky to get started, but she would stop to remind us of safety skills (“keep legs straight when going downhill and lean back”).
My feet are sore after - it’s amazing that one would get that way on a Segway but it is a bit of foot and ankle work!
I had booked for 9 am, but they called an asked nicely if we could switch to 10. I thought that was very thoughtful - a lot of other places would have just emailed and said “you are out of luck”.
The tour covers a lot of ground. I don’t think we missed much of that area.

City Segway and our tour guide Femi he was fantastic! Femi is funny and puts you at ease. My husband and I and our two teenage boys 15,17 had a blast. You get a great history lesson that is fun and informative not boring. You see sights that would otherwise be hard to find parking if you took a car. If you are adventurist you have to try this! Best way to see the city!! Would go to City Segway again!! Highlight of our trip!! Thank you Femi for your patience and for bringing out the adventurist side in their 43 year old mom!

This was my first ride on a Segway, and after a few minutes introduction and training it felt like second nature, and so much fun! The tour took us surprisingly far, the time and distance of the tour was just right. The weather on our trip was perfect, but I imagine with more typical SF weather (cold and windy) you might want a pair of gloves. The tour guide was great.

I want to book a tour for my niece who is visiting for a week, and myself on August 16, 2019. My niece will be 12 years old in 2 1/2 weeks, on September 3. Is there any possibility we would be allowed on your tour? My niece would love to go. She’s pretty athletic and very mature for her age, if that helps.

I wasn't aware there was an age restriction - just a weight restriction. I am sure the tour I did was with a 9 year old and he was super!
