Overview
Don’t let time constraints keep you from making the trip to Yosemite National Park from San Francisco. A 1-day trip lets you visit the park’s major attractions such as Half Dome, Tuolumne Grove, and El Capitan—and still make it back to the city in time for dinner.
What to Expect
Begin your day with pickup from your select San Francisco hotel or central meeting point. Head out of the city and through historic Gold Rush towns en route to the Sierra Nevada—commentary from your guide makes the 4-hour drive fly by.

Upon arrival, take a 1-hour hike past some of the oldest and largest redwood trees in the world at Tuolumne Grove (weather permitting). Snap a photo inside a tunneled-out tree, or see how many people it takes to wrap arms around a trunk.

Continue to Inspiration Point for an unbeatable view of Yosemite Valley. Look out for expert rock climbers scaling the world-class cliffs of Half Dome and El Capitan, and in the springtime, see the 2,400 foot-tall (740 meter) cascade of Yosemite Falls.

Spend an hour dining or exploring the park on your own before reconvening with your guide for the return to San Francisco.

Please note: Some itinerary items are weather dependent, and itinerary may be adapted to make the most of Yosemite during different seasons. The giant sequoias are best visited between May and October, as winter ice and snow may prevent access during the rest of the year.

Awful trip

Our guide barely spoke any English. And he was taking A LOT. For about 15 hours me and my wife just wanted him to shut up. He tried to joke around, asking passengers questions, nobody found that amusing. At 9pm we stopped at treasure island...More

Fantastic Holiday

Great place to visit even when its winter. Clear skies at night, fresh, cool air and fun activities for the whole family! Great meals, and day activities, and at night check out the stars - so clear!

Beautiful But Occasionally Feels like Disneyland of Natural Parks

I live near this area and I love hiking when it's not too hot and I'm not too busy. The area is huge so even when you enter the park it'll take you a few hours or more to get to main areas of the...More

locals are the bests

We were amazed by the vast knowledge local guides possess and thrilled to experience the wilderness with carefully crafted explanations and history remarks.

It's about four hours each way with a rest stop at Oakdale about two hours in. We were picked up outside our SF hotel at 6.30 am and got home at around midnight. It was a long day, but the driver/guide was so lovely that... More

We arrived back in San Francisco around 10:30 pm, which was later than expected. We were given more time to spend in the park than is usually allotted.

Hi, there was no bathroom on our bus, but the driver made a couple of comfort breaks on the journey to and from the Park.
