Could have stayed up there all night
We did the Sunset Canopy Climb. Learning the techniques and equipment on the "practice" tree was a great way to build confidence, though if there is a larger group of people it takes some time to get through everyone. The guides are very friendly and encouraging as you find yourself amidst unbelievable heights. Be sure to plan for the ferry schedule in advance. Thanks again to Leo and Brendan!

      Climb On
I had a great time climbing with AdventureTerra on our Intro to Rock Climbing Course. Our instructor Clay was polite, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. All gear was provided for us and was in good working order. Clay was on time and worked with each individual according to their skill and comfort level. These guys are great instructors and would highly recommend them to anyone looking to improve their skills or just have fun on a weekend.

      Amazing experience!
Had a great time climbing a massive old growth tree today at Silver Falls. Both Tim and Leo were great and thorough instructors. My girlfriend and I felt completely at ease and prepared for the climb before we adventured up. Will definitely be recommending to anyone willing to listen.

      Great experience taking private lessons
Clay helped me tremendously to learn the basics of outdoor sport and trad climbing. As a middle aged climber I found it more useful to take a series of private lessons so I could progress at my own pace. Clay was always calm and patient with me, even if it meant demonstrating things many times until I got it. He's easy to work with providing the right balance of encouragement and pushing you to your best ability. I found Mt Erie an excellent spot to train on a variety of technical grades. Based on my experience, this is an excellent company for anyone interested in trying or improving their skill in rock climbing.

Perfect Day at the Top of a Tree
My day with Adventure Terra was a climbers dream come true. When we first arrived in the slight drizzle of an overcast day, coffee in hand, I didn't know what to expect. I watched as Leo, our guide, took everyone through the steps of pulling yourself up a tree and rappelling down safely and efficiently. I felt comfortable in the gear provided as I made my way up the trunk as we practiced. Little did I know, we were only using this first tree for training. After we were all adjusted to the technique, we strolled through the beautiful growth of Silver Falls State Park. Leo was insightful about the trees and the land. He shared lots of great knowledge with all the guests as we approached our main ascent... A GIANT old growth tree in the middle of the park. Where I was unsure about climbing hundreds of feet into the air at first, I felt supported by the staff and other adventurers and pushed through. I'm glad I did. We made our way above all other trees and through the sky as the clouds opened up. I have never seen such a view that I worked for and now have many of the skills to do this again! I felt like I was bonding with the people around as I grinned my way through the branches. This is an opportunity you won't get anywhere else. Take it!

      Tree climbing adventure
My family including my 17 and 20 yo boys did the half day tree climbing adventure. It was a blast. With Leo, the owner, and issac as our guide, we learned how to climb these absolutely majestic trees. We got high enough that we we could just see above the other trees to see the water. Later we found out that we could have transfer ropes and climbed even higher! Bummer that we missed that. It was a real blast but the best part is that no trees were harmed in the process. Nothing was hammered or nailed to the trees which was really important. These trees are just too too majestic to risk any harm. They are awe inspiring. Must do on way to or from San Juan Islands.

      Wonderful rock climbing experience
This was our first experience with rock climbing. Leo is very knowledgeable of the sport and really took the time to explain all of the equipment, techniques, and to make sure we felt comfortable with sitting in the harness before we started to climb. He modified the climbs to fit our personal level of ability and comfort. We felt completely safe and were able to relax and enjoy the experience. Thanks again Leo!

Our family had an amazing time! The instructors were fantastic and very patient with us considering we had no idea what we were doing. Our seven year daughter is hooked and can't wait to do it again. Thanks for a great day!

      Awesome experience
Me and my husband did the rock climbing experience with Cameron and Rilen. We were both a little nervous, we didn’t really know what to expect. Cameron made us feel very comfortable, and was a very good teacher. Adventure Terra also includes an option to have a photographer capture your experience, Rilen not only added to the fun we had with our little group but he also takes amazing pictures. If you are on the fence about booking a photographer, I’d say that it was definitely worth the price, for us we love looking back on those pictures, and keeping them as proof for our kids that we weren’t always boring. My husband and I loved our experience and plan to come back for the tree climbing experience.

      Remarkable
Some of my family and I went this Tuesday to rock climb on Mt. Erie with Leo as our guide, and I can gladly say it was easily one of the funnest things I've ever done in my life. We knew nothing about rock climbing but our instructor Leo guided us the whole way through, and at the end of the day I can confidently say I know how to free climb safely and belay my partner with ease. It was an unforgettable experience and I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a good bunch of fun. I'm already looking forward for my next visit to Washington to take their intermediate course.

      Amazing Rock Climbing Guide
At Northbend. Leo was our guide and did a fantastic job with our three teenage children. He taught them the rock climbing techniques clearly and made sure they were safe, but also helped build their confidence. After a couple climbs they were doing knots and baleying all on their own—and with confidence. He chose routes that were just at their skill level. We would definitely recommend Leo to anyone wishing to have a great first time rock climbing!

Amazing day of climbing. Group of 5.
From beginning to end Adventure Terra did a fantastic job at communicating and working with my groups various needs. Leo, our guide, is extremely experienced, thorough and a pleasure to climb with! We had a few GoPros and captured some STUNNING photos at the top of the trees. We were even lucky enough to see a couple Bald Eagles flying around so gracefully in their natural habitat. 🦅 I highly recommend this experience for anyone who appreciates the outdoors. Climb it!

      Cool and scenic
I did the day canopy tree climb. It was kinda a workout to get up the tree, but not too hard. The views were really great, would recommend to anyone who is not afraid of heights.

Canopy Climb at Deception Pass - a Must Do!
Sunset or no sunset, this is a must for anyone's bucket list! What a thrill! You can do this even if you've never climbed a tree before! Equipment is new, guides are very friendly and highly experienced. They are also very patient! In our case, the guide hung close by one of our group and encouraged them in such a wonderful manner that the person is still talking about the great "customer service" they got on our climb a couple of weeks ago! I'd do it again when we have guests visiting, etc.

Once in a lifetime experience, we did old growth canopy climbing. All the staff was amazing, kind, and helpful: from booking to end, if they don't answer the phone make sure to leave a voicemail and they will get right back to you. We had so much fun! Be ready to get your workout on. Can not recommend them enough, the kindness and patience of the staff made the experience extremely meaningful. Not once did we feel rushed or like we were doing something wrong, which led to being in the present moment and taking it all in at our own pace. We also opted for the photo option and glad we did - again everyone was super nice. They all ensured we had an amazing time and captured great memories for us (like us getting engaged in the canopy). Make sure to bring some cash and TIP your guides, trust me - they deserve all the appreciation (honestly best guides we've ever had). Thank you AdventureTerra!!!!

The tree climbing adventure was a lot of fun. I expected to have more fear of heights, but our guide Rilen went above and beyond to make it a pleasant experience. He was attentive, encouraging, and conscientious as well as entertaining with his delightful conversation and Spider Man maneuvers! I booked this trip with my teenage son for my special birthday/mom-son bonding experience and it was perfect! We both had a great time and it made for a unique memory together. The forest and water views were calming and beautiful. We went at 1:00 on a Sunday in May and were the only guests. I had been worried about slowing the group down so it was perfect. The climbing requires some lower back and hamstring strength so was a workout for me but Rilen was patient and encouraging and I never felt rushed. I’d highly recommend this adventure!

Went up with Rilen. He was an excellent guide. He knows a lot about the trees and the area. He is a patient and funny guide and has a fast and friendly personality. He made the whole experience so much better. I felt like I was climbing with a friend. Considering that you get four hours of instruction and climbing, PLUS all the necessary equipment, this experience is a great value. We are coming back for a second climb in a few weeks!

We climbed with Rilen who was a really good guide. We thought we would be climbing on the tree itself to get to the top, but you're actually climbing up a rope that's harnessed to the tree. You don't actually climb the tree itself but the rope that leads up the height of the tree. The climbing action is one of coordination - using ascenders and descenders, it's not terribly difficult, but does require a reasonable level of fitness. I am not afraid of heights but the climb does go up to heights of about 180ft or so, and the height can be unnerving. Mind over matter - don't look down, just look ahead and bask in the beautiful Puget Sound surroundings, or look up! Leo was very communicative and accommodating, which we really appreciate it. He said after our climb that he hopes this is an experience we will never forget. How very true - this is an experience that is very extraordinary, and one you will never forget!

Great experience overall. Our ferry was late arriving at Lopez Island but Leo one of the guides still picked us up. At the site we had another guide, Mia who helped all of us get geared up and provided instructions on all our equipment. Mia took us on our first Douglas fir where we could see Mt. Baker and the city of Anaconda under it. We climbed another Douglas fir which was estimated to be 400-450 years old. My teenage son loved the experience because he could finally be a “monkey” in a tall tree. Teenage daughter wasn’t thrilled with the idea at first but even she found the experience wonderful and enjoyable at the end when she was at the top of both trees.

Rilen made sure the five of us had an incredible experience. We were a group of three tweens and two parents celebrating our daughter's birthday. From the moment we arrived the instructions and explanations were crystal clear and inspired confidence. It was clear safety was a priority, and almost immediately everyone was just focused on having a great time with no fear at all. We had a great time and it left us inspired to start planning our next climb. Thank you!
