Do no miss Monument Valley!
We decided to check out Monument Valley because we had never seen it of course but we want it to get more insight on the culture and on the surroundings of the area. Although you can drive yourself through Monument Valley I would recommend doing the guided tour first, you are able to get into spots where regular vehicles can’t and you get to go inside homes that teach you all about their beautiful ancestry. We had Yvonne as our guide and she was lovey, she even played the flute for us which was beautiful! She made sure everyone got their picture taken with good angles too, thank you Yvonne!

Memorable tour of Monument Valley
Sep 2021
The 2.5 hour guided tour was so great. Yvonne was our guide and she was very, very informative. A highlight of the tour was her haunting personal music played at the end of the tour. My husband and I felt that we were totally immersed in Native American culture as well as the magnificent scenery. We realized that this tour was so much better than a personal tour in our car.

Great job Dineh Bekayah Tours!!

Amazing and Memorable Tour!
Our tour guide Harry Nez took us on an amazing and wonderful tour through the Monument Valley which was both excellent and memorable. This tour was outstanding and Harry showed us facets of the Navajo culture that we never realized before. His knowledge and photography skills were excellent, and he is a worthy representative of the Navajo Nation.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who visits Monument Valley!

Wonderful Monument Valley tour
Oct 2021
Had a wonderful late afternoon tour of Monument Valley with Yvonne. She was personable and did a great job of providing us with the history of the Valley and the Navajo people who have lived in this region. Explaining their customs and traditions, and how some of that has had to adapt to modern times.

She gave us ample time to take photos, and walk around the designated stops.
She and another guide gave a beautiful drum and flute demonstrations at on of the later stops.

Her knowledge and skills as a guide made for a most memorable experience.

A "MUST DO" TOUR
Oct 2021
What a phenomenal experience! One of the best tours we have ever taken. We thought about making the basic loop tour by ourselves with a downloaded audio guide but we're so glad we didn't. Our guide, John, was the best. Fun and very knowledgeable. We went on back roads where tourists alone can't go and even visited a home of one of the few families that live in the valley. We live in Southern AZ and are somewhat familiar with some of the tribes in the south. However this tour gave us a wonderful perspective of the largest tribe, Navajo nation. John's descriptions of Navajo life and customs were fascinating and the views were spectacular. Truly a "must do" tour.

Excellent experience
Oct 2021
A tour you should not miss! The day began cloudy but by the time for the tour it was raining. My guide sent for a Suburban so that we were inside instead of out in an open tram. We saw so much more than the typical 17 mile drive. We went to other view points off the regular drive and saw Ear of the Wind, Big Hogan and Moccasin Arch. My guide was a wealth of information about his culture. He told history of Monument Valley as well as telling what plants we were seeing were used for. If you are going to Monument Valley, take a guided tour.

This is a tour you should not miss!

Taking the tour gives the Monument experience so much more depth than just viewing the rock formations. Our guide, John, explained the origins of monument names, and the meaning of the folklore behind them. He explained some aspects of the Navajo culture that added richness to my appreciation of the Navajo people
He even played the flute for us in the Big Hogan formation which was a profoundly spiritual experience
He was so engaging, the time flew by!

An Outstanding Guide
Sep 2021
Occasionally, you come across a person in your travels that makes the experience special. And that person for me was our guide,Steven,

What a joy! So personable. So knowledgeable! and so real.

Monument Valley is a beautiful place. But Stephen made it so memorable.

He's the best.

Magnificent scenery/Lesson of culture
We took this guided tour rather than doing the “Loop tour” ourselves and it did not disappoint!
We checked into The View Cabins, and we were happy that the meeting area for the tour was so convenient (right outside the View Hotel) ( highly recommend staying here also , see that review!)
Our guide/driver was Yvonne, she was welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and so very friendly. The tour starts at the same point the driving tour starts (tours jump the “long” line) the tour follows the same route, but it goes to areas only they are permitted.
The scenery is magnificent, and learning the meanings/culture behind what we were seeing was priceless. You are required to wear masks, d/t the Navajo Nation Covid rules,I suggest if you have a problem with the Navajo requirements, you don’t go, it’s a matter of respect for their need to protect. Would definitely recommend this for all ages!
Dress accordingly, our tour was at 9 AM, it was high 50’s and quite chilly when truck moving (all open)
Dress in layers that can be removed, took a backpack; please tip your guides well also! 😉

Wonderful tour!!
Our guide, John, was wonderful. We took a morning tour of Monument Valley and an afternoon tour of Tear Drop Arch and ancestral dwellings. Both tours were excellent. John was very knowledgeable and shared information about the culture of the Navajo people. He was an excellent photographer and provided many iPhone tips that I will be using in the future. Overall, just a delightful day. Thank you, John!
