Arriving at Gaansbaai at sunrise offered some spectacular views, followed by a nice breakfast and hot drinks we took a short and fast boat trip enjoying the magnificent birds following our boat all the way. Water was freezing but the wet suit kept us nice and comfortable, we have seen plenty of bronze whalers which are also large and beautiful species of sharks, plenty of photo opportunities on the deck and in the cage and whole experience was really unforgettable. Water will be cold though so brace yourselves as you’ll feel it on your face and hands

While our whole time in SA was going to be amazing, seeing a shark and up close, was going to be the icing on the cake for us. The Kids got excited and wanted to dive too. Communication was great all the way through too! Our 1st attempt, boxing day, there were no sharks. we were gutted but that's life. The team were lovely and apologised, not that it's their fault. We were given a 2 year voucher to return, but we had a few dates as back up (which they reommended too), and we returned on 2 Jan and saw lots of copper sharks. It wasn't a great white, but we were so pleased to see a shark. They're long sharks, have strong tails, swam around us, came very close and it was amazing! We had a blast! Kids loved it. The only down side was sea sickness. They gave out snacks, water and lollies. They provided wet suits, boots, masks, and lots of information. Would definitely recommend.

Really great experience, and a real must! A little scary but soon over that and absolutley loved it. I’m a big lover of sharks so this was a real bucket list moment for me. Very easy to book, and the staff so helpful pre booking. On the day, everyone there so helpful, safety briefing clear and all the staff so knowledgable. Shout out to Lauren who I emailed a lot before hand to ensure we had everything booked and she answered any questions. Also another shout out to Keith who was our lead on the day, who was so lovely and knowledgable about the sharks. M we didn’t see any great whites but the Bronzer whaling sharks were just as good to see, which are massive!! Don’t hesitate … just book this and enjoy!!

Low visibility on our trip but still an amazing experience. Well trained staff and good value for money. Absolutely worth every penny.

I had the incredible opportunity to go shark diving with White Shark Diving Company, and it was an experience I will never forget! We were lucky enough to see several types of sharks up close, and it was absolutely breathtaking. The crew was amazing, super professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. They made sure everyone felt comfortable and safe throughout the entire experience. For those who might feel scared or hesitant: don’t be! It’s not dangerous at all. The team has everything under control, and they prioritize safety above all else. I highly encourage anyone to give it a try, you won’t regret it! We like this activity A LOT!! You see the sharks very, very close. We had all the time 4 bronze sharks. The boat is great, all the crew extremely friendly. We recond this very much!!! This a very unique and unsual activity!! You should be aware though that in spite that most such trips are advertise as "white shark xxx", the white sharks are extremely unsual to spot (like once every six months). However, the spot bronze sharks almost every trip, but they are MUCH smaller (around 3m long) than a white shark.

What a fantastic experience was had going out to sea on the boat and seeing anything up to 25 bronze whaler sharks. The captain was so friendly and knowledgeable along with all of the staff. Breakfast was served before we left and lunch was served on returning back to shore. The volunteer’s studying the sharks were very knowledgeable along with the rest of the crew.

My friend joined me on this trip. I was cage diving but she had no interest in getting in the cage. She did not regret coming. Not diving should not stop you joining the trip. She still saw the sharks and had a fantastic trip, just watching from the boat. She took some photos and loved every minute.

We went shark diving on the 22nd November! Paul was our tour lead and he gave an excellent briefing which provided reassurance (we were really nervous!). It was only about 15 minutes out to see before we anchored up and within 5 mins the first bronze whaler shark turned up. Paul was quick to get us in the cage (which meant we didn’t have time to hesitate and build up anxiety) it also maximised the time with the sharks! We were the first boat out to the area so we had the sharks to ourselves for quite some time. We had the opportunity to go into the cage twice. The first time we were in for twenty minutes and honestly was just so overwhelmed and excited and proud that I’d achieved a lifelong dream we called it a day and let some of the others stay down longer. There was about 8/9 of us so it didn’t feel crowded! It was an amazing experience and feel thankful to Paul and the crew for making it feel safe and enabling us to have the best time viewing the sharks. We saw 7 in total and they were all huge and beautiful! All females! I can see how these sharks are dangerous if they’re in the wrong mood, but it was fascinating to see how curious they were of us, they were so nosy and back and forth constantly! It was great value for money give the expertise on board and the once in a lifetime opportunity being given. I’d probably pay twice, for the same experience to be honest. Loved it, if you’re thinking about it, don’t hesitate.

Definitely a highlight of my trip to South Africa and a bucket list item checked. Booked this from Cape Town and the package I booked included transportation. Drive there was spectacular and driver was friendly and held good conversation. As for the shark dive itself, it lived up to every expectation! Great crew that knew exactly how to attract the sharks and bring them right alongside the cage! Never expected to have sharks inches from my face, needless to say, this was absolutely amazing. Not sure if or when I'll ever be back to South Africa, but if I ever do, I'll be booking with this group again!

The shark cage diving experience itself was incredible—an unforgettable adventure that I’d highly recommend to anyone looking to get up close with these magnificent creatures. The thrill of being in the water with sharks was unmatched, and it’s clear that the company values marine conservation, which I deeply respect. However, there were several organizational and facility issues that detracted from the overall experience, especially considering the high price point: Combo Package Issues: We had purchased the whale-watching combo, which caused us to arrive after the rest of the shark diving group had already had breakfast and likely received a briefing about the dive and shark conservation. We were rushed through payment, barely had time for a sip of coffee, and missed the breakfast included in the package. Lack of Information: As a result of the rush, we weren’t given much information about the sharks we were about to see or the conservation efforts. This was disappointing, as I was looking forward to learning more about these incredible animals. Disorganization on the Boat: The boat felt chaotic. With 18 people on board, there was no system for managing belongings or changing into wetsuits. Clothes and backpacks were everywhere, and there wasn’t enough seating or space. Only one crew member seemed to be doing all the critical tasks (organizing people into the cage, handling wetsuits, and setting up equipment), while others stood idle. This made the experience unnecessarily messy and uncoordinated. Wetsuit Quality: The wetsuits had noticeable holes and filled with water almost immediately upon entering the ocean. For the price paid, I expected better-maintained gear. Post-Dive Facilities: After the dive, the facilities were inadequate. There was only one shower for everyone to use and one toilet per gender, which felt insufficient for a group of 18 people, especially after being soaked in saltwater. Overall, while the shark dive itself was an amazing experience, the poor organization, outdated equipment, and lack of adequate facilities made the experience feel overpriced. With some attention to these issues, this could easily become a 5-star adventure.

My brother did it 14 years ago with this company - so we booked it again. Really well organised (transfers easy and on time), breakfast on arrival, lunch on the return - both included. The boat trip was 15 mins out - straight in the cage (we got the opportunity to go in twice - first time 10 mins and second time 25 mins) - amazing!! No great whites due to the whales and change of fishing patterns - but saw about 14 bronze whaler sharks - coming straight at you. DEFINITELY DO IT!
