They picked us up at our hotel in Miami, and brought us back, which was great. The van was clean and air conditioned. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly, and taught us about the flora of the everglades. Unfortunately, we did not see much wildlife. We saw a few alligators, and a few birds. The park has a tram tour, with a loudspeaker, and many bikers, so this could have something to do with lack of animals. I would strongly recommend good sun protection and lots of bug spray. Myself and many on the tour had multiple insect bites by the end. I would also recommend old shoes, as we did get our shoes wet/muddy. The short airboat ride was to a few of the Miccosukee islands, and our boat captain shared some of his experiences growing up on one of the islands, which was very interesting. It would have been nice to see some other areas of the Everglades however. I would also recommend keeping cash on you, as you need to tip the boat captain, and the guide, and some of us left money in the van.

Thank you for coming on our tour and for taking the time to leave a review. We appreciate it very much. We are glad you liked the tour, and can understand your comments too about hoping to see more wildlife that day. The reasons you suggest were not a factor though. It had more to do with the weather that day and the night before being very hot and humid. And because, well, it's wildlife, which means we can't predict what we may see on some days. While there's not a lot we can do about the sun and insects in the Everglades, we do provide insect repellent and sunscreen to all our guests, complimentary. The water on the shoes part was an optional part and guests were told they would get them wet on that part, and that there was another dry path around to take instead if they preferred. Thanks again for coming out there with us! We enjoyed spending the day with you.

Ben is the man! A great guy who provides a wonderful experience. We had a large group, spanning ages young to old, and he engaged everyone along the way. His knowledge is vast, giving us great insight into the history of the area as well as the nature and animals within the everglades.

The boat ride was awesome. They take you up close to the gators and allow you to explore tge islands the local tribes lived on. Elvis, the boat driver, has a special relationship with a particular gator and was kind enough to display that!

It was a great experience all around and would recommend wild lime to anyone!

This was an excellent tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us so much information about the plants and wildlife. Pickup was exactly on time and very convenient at our hotel. There was a small problem before our tour, as the full day tour that we had reserved in advance had to be cancelled. But Wild Lime Tours went out of their way to offer alternatives and gave us a discount on this alternative tour.

Fantastic guides! The owner of the company was just great about communicating with us prior to the tour as we had to make some changes to our reservation, and then our tour guide was both friendly and knowledgeable. If we had just gone into the Everglades Natl. Park on our own and walked the trail there, we wouldn't have known what we were looking at, but she pointed out several plants and explained how the Native Americans used them, gave us a bit of history, had us such on sawgrass for water to show us how one can get moisture when it's unsafe to drink the water, and spotted many birds and even some gators. We had fun and learned a lot. She also made sure we had ponchos and blankets for the wind on the airboat, had water, snacks, and sunscreen handy, and took some great photos of my husband and me that Key Lime promptly sent us the next day at no extra charge. In short, everything was beautifully organized. Highly recommend this company!

Our guide picked us in the south end of South Beach at the condo we were staying at. She was very friendly and we had a text saying she would be a few minutes late. Her background as a marine biologist provided for an informative ride and walking tour. Felt very safe as all wore masks and hearing protection headphones were sanitized. Enjoyed the adventure and arrived back at our condo by 1:30. Snacks and drinks also provided. Elvis was the perfect person for the boat ride and was amazing seeing him talk to Momma the old alligator we saw on the stop to the small island. Well worth the money.

I was looking to organize a last-minute trip to the Everglades with my 12-year old son, and luckily I found Wild Lime Adventures online. The tour was phenomenal. We saw a couple of adult alligators, and some babies. Also a couple of snakes and many birds. The walk in the National Park was nice, but the highlight was definitely the airboat ride, which took place in an area where only Wild Lime has a permit, so we didn't see any other boats. The captain & guide, Elvis took us to an island where we encountered a big alligator who knew Elvis' voice and came over to him when he called. Pretty magical. An awesome day. Highly recommended.

Wild Lime Adventures went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable and warm during our 1/2 day tour, especially as it was a last minute booking.

Ben was a terrific and entertaining guide. He knew all our names and thoughtfully answered every question with intelligence and a sense of humor. We left learning much about the ecosystem of Florida and how it is dependent on the health of the Everglades.

We saw stunning examples of wildlife at every turn, with Ben there to identify and talk about each one. As we drove past busloads/airboats jammed with tourists, we were very happy to be in a small group. Our airboat was guided by a local from the Miccosukee tribe, who talked about his experience growing up in the Everglades.

For my next trip - and there will be one - I'll book Wild Lime Adventures.

This was the perfect way to do a short 1/2 day trip that included a 1-Hour Air Boat Ride and Nature Walk with Ben, a Naturalist, in Everglades National Park. We’d been to the park before and done the tram ride but the nature walk with Ben was so much more detailed and informative about the park, the eco-system, plants/trees, and all the animals we encountered. He took lots of questions and had all the answers. Highly recommend having Ben as your Nature Walk guide!

FYI you can meet the tour at a specific location across from the park if you have your own vehicle. We camped 20 minutes away at the NPS Monument Lake campground. Take the Loop Road trip if you can to stop for some walks.

We had an excellent experience from start to finish. Our naturalist picked us up at the hotel and he was punctual and very friendly and knowledgeable. He was very patient and answered all of my 5 yo daughter's questions. She was very interested in what he had to say and enjoyed seeing the animals he pointed out to us on our walk. Elvis was our Captain and he took us into the indian reserve where we saw lots of alligators and he even knew one of them and it came up close to the boat as he called her by name. It was an amazing experience. Don't forget to tip. 15-25%.

we arranged a half day tour to the Everglades, with Wild Lime Adventures, which turned into a much longer and more enjoyable day, than we had imagined. We were a family of 5 including 2 kids of 14 and 11,and so were able to take advantage of a private tour, which meant that we could set pick up time, and have a van to ourselves as well as a private airboat. We opted for a 9.30am pick up from our hotel in N.Miami, and met Ben,who was our guide for the duration. What a great guy,he immediately, bonded with the kids, answering all their questions, not only about what we were going to see,but on life in general in Southern Florida. The journey from our hotel to the National Park took about one hour, which wizzed by,thanks to the non stop Qand A between ourselves and Ben.When we arrived at the park,Ben took us on the various trails,to spot, all sorts of wildlife, and he was quick to point out many different species of birds and wildlife, that we had never heard of before, and of course we spotted Alligators,of all different sizes from babies with Mum,to older males. We were struck with the ZEN like atmosphere of the whole area.At this point should mention that Ben carried a magic backpack, with ample water for all plus binoculars which came in very handy, plus snacks, plus first aid..just in case!!after about one hour,he pointed out a much simpler route back to where the van was parked, and turned us loose for a leisurely walk back.We then drove for about 10 mins to pick up our private airboat and meet a great character called Randy, who was to pilot the airboat, where we had been told that the ride would last for appx one hour,in actual fact we were having so much fun the ride lasted around 90 mins.Randy was from the Miccosukee tribe, who own most of the land in the area, and operate the airboats,he was descended from the Apache tribe, and had a glorious tatoo of his great Grandfather in full headdress on his arm,his knowledge of the waters and animals was second to none, one minute we were travelling at full speed, then he cut the engine because he had sighted an alligator under the water, how he found and sighted these various animals was a mystery as they were not visable to us.We felt that the whole experience arranged by Wild Lime Adventures was superb and would not hesitate to recomend both Ben and Randy for their great knowledge of that area,we were eventually dropped back to our hotel around 4pm,so much longer than a half day tour!! extremely enjoyable

Wow, we really don't know what to say. A big big thank you to you for providing so many beautiful details of the day. We are thrilled that the day was very "zen-like" as you say, and that it was such a source of wonderful memories of being with your family in this amazing wilderness. We love that you took the time to speak of us and the experience in his way. We are indebted to your kindness here. We hope to see you again one day!
