About
In the warm and dark lagoon waters lies a natural phenomenon of glowing blue waters alive with activity. The swirling of your hand, every paddle stroke, and the rolling wake off of your kayak all sparkle throughout the darkness. Not only do fish leave trails, dolphins look like torpedoes, and manatees a slow and graceful submarine. Many guests compare the experience to Pandora of “Avatar.” Some even recall the bioluminescence scene in “Life of Pi”  as the gentle plankton leave a trickling glow when you hold it in your hands and let it trickle down your arm. Though some may jokingly blame this on NASA runoff, it is actually the biological response of microscopic algae called a dinoflagellate. The perfectly natural and harmless concentration of organisms produces light before your very eyes, often existing in millions per liter of water. Your tour will include a ton of information about these rare and exotic creatures with the most experienced guides in the area

Our guide Chad was great! Knowledgeable about the areas history, the biology of the bioluminescent, and he had a great sense of humor! We were a group of 3 adults, 1 teenager, and 1 11 year old. We all had an amazing time!

Sunny was our tour guide, she exceeded our expectations. We saw shooting stars, manatees, dolphins, fish and many beautiful birds. We can't wait to book another tour. Sunny has a great passion for guiding tours and shared so much knowledge and history of the area and the wildlife. The kayak was easy to use and very stable, It is a wonderful adventure most people young to old are able to do. No complaints here, I give the adventure, the tour guide, and the company five stars!

Seriously Cool Experience
Oct 2021
This was so cool! We drove 1.5 hours up and back and it was totally worth it. The guides are knowledgeable, friendly, and funny. If you live in the area and have not been, you have to go. If you're new in town or visiting, add this adventure to your list! It is a unique experience you won't want to miss. We loved seeing the comb jellies, fish darting in the water like fireworks, and, of course, the dinoflagellates!

Tip: Bring very strong bug spray. Once you are out on the water you are fine, but you'll get bit up in the parking lot.

Our guide was very informative and allowed us to ask questions. He took every precaution to ensure our safety. We had a wonderful encounter with a mother dolphin and her baby. We were a little late in the season for the full effect of the bioluminescence but we did experience it. It juat wasn't as bright as it is in the summer months. I would highly recommend excursion and this company.

Booked the tour at $125 for two of us… weather was horrible that evening. Raining, lightning, no stars or sunset - we showed up at the launch as we were told just in case it cleared up but it did not. Decided not to go (who wants to kayak in the rain???) and this company would not allow us to reschedule!!! Took our money and we got zero to show for it. What kind of customer service is this??

I feel so blessed by this incredible adventure. Our tour guide, Harrison, was a great host who shared his love for kayaking with us. I really enjoyed hearing about his passion for keeping nature as nature instead of building condos and hotels along the Banana River and the effects that industry and building has had on the cycle of nature there.

We loved it and we want to come back to actually see the bioluminescence in the waters next year! Thank you Alex for such a great experience!

We had a group of teenage boys with us and she did amazing at keeping them safe while also letting them have a little fun.
