What to Expect
This San Andreas Fault tour by Jeep starts with a pickup at your Palm Desert hotel. Your driver takes a route through the Coachella Valley as you make your way to a private reserve for your tour. Once there, board an open-air Jeep, and take off with a naturalist guide through the San Andreas Fault. Your guide tells you interesting facts about the geology of the area, pointing out desert landscapes, wildlife, and an oasis that’s fed from an underground spring. Next, head to a Native American site where you can learn about how the Cahuilla tribe survived living in the harsh desert climates. Also hear stories about the history of American and European settlers, too. Lastly, walk through a canyon while listening to stories about the Pacific and North American plates and how they affect earthquakes. Your tour ends with a drop-off back in Palm Desert.

Check with the Jeep Co. They have specific stops, but it may depend on how many in your group. They can take 7.
