Unfortunately the italian travel agency that supported us for our tour in Botswana collaborates with this tour operator in Maun, so Boitumelo arranged our 9 nights mobile safari. The only positive feedback I can give is about the 3 guys that came with us (Kaiser, Orabile and Montsho ... hope I spell correctly): they did a good job and it wasn't easy as the equipment was very run-down and the vehicle was a scrap - both the car and the trailer. From the very beginning we realized that our high expectations would have been disappointed: the first day during the pick up from the lodge we were informed that the car engine wasn't working properly and that they had to buy some items to fix it temporarily, before we could leave for our safari. Of course this caused a lot of unexpected stops and delays during our 2 first days in Nxai Pan park. Once back in Maun we tried to contact Boitumelo to ask for vehicle replacement but we got a message from him only late at night saying that the car was ok. The morning after we met him at the agency and once again he affirmed that the vehicle was "perfect" and that we shouldn't have been so worried - as if providing a car in such evident bad conditions could be the most professional thing to do to make a customer happy. During the next 6 days in the Delta our guide managed to keep alive the engine with daily fixes, even if we had some additional problems (battery, refrigerator) but on the way from Savuti to Chobe park a welding in the trailer (done on an old damage) wore out so we had to leave the trailer there, move all the equipment to the car and travel for 6 hours to Kasane, ending our mobile safari one day earlier.

You would be welcome to use them on your website if they were of use to you. Our first delightful revelation was our sleeping arrangements. We had not really expected such a luxurious Safari tent - two beds (Peter later made them into double bed for us), a latrine with sit down seat, and a shower. Wow! Such luxury on a camping trip! We’d never camped like that before. You described Kaiser, our guide and driver, by saying “He talks funny but he knows everything”. You were correct - particularly about his knowledge and expertise. On our first game drive in the Kalahari, he was driving on a rough sand road, when he suddenly stopped and pointed out a small bat-eared fox in the shade under a bush 25 feet from the road. It took us several seconds to spot it even after he pointed it out to us. That was just the beginning of our experience with his keen sense of observation and his ability to find animals for us to see. On 30 plus game drives, he found something on every drive except one (a frustrating game drive in the Kalahari where he searched for 5 hours trying to find something). He was indefatigable- never tiring and never ceasing to show us more. Always with a great positive attitude. A stellar team leader. Equally amazing was Avelino!! My gosh what any amazing camp cook. We have camped for over 4 decades but we have never experience any camp cooking like Avelino’s. He used a small wood fire and produced incredible meals including deep fried chicken and fresh baked bread. He did this 3 times a day with just those small wooden fires and he has amazing cooking skills. Incredible!!! Peter was a wonderful camp assistant who did everything to make our experience extremely comfortable. He spoke excellent English and always available to see that we had everything we needed. He was particularly focused on taking care of our tent and sleeping arrangements and other general camping activities. His warm friendly demeanor made the whole experience even more delightful. Absolutely everything on the trip went exactly as planned. It was wonderful. A highlight was the Okavango Delta and the mokoro dugout canoe 2-day trip where we where able to have a couple of walking safaris led by Bravo, who was also a superb guide. Savuti was another highlight with the most game - particularly lions and cheetahs. Oh, that unplanned campsite went to on the first night because of the San experience cancelation was probable the prettiest campsite of the trip. I was a somewhat disappointed that we did not see the legendary large elephant herds in Chobe despite our 4 early morning and evening game drives with Kaiser, the best possible guide (though as usual, there were other game sightings). No large herds on the evening river cruise either. But unfortunately nobody can make animals show up just because people want to see them. However, the scenery looking out over the Chobe River was absolutely breathtaking and well worth our time there!! The only unpleasantnesses of the whole 16 Day Safari were the 3 or 4 long transfers between camp sites in the northern part of the trip. The slow, very rough, long sandy roads took a toll on Michel. Barbara was less concerned. However, that is a necessary condition of a safari that includes such diverse regions and cannot be avoided. I don’t hold that against the wonderful Safari you set up for us. Thank you and your team for making our experience in Botswana so delightful, interesting and wonderful. Had a great experience with Bitumera and James (the guide). Both are very knowledgeable about the Moremi Game Reserve area (plants and wildlife) and are true locals with a passion for animals and the local area. We saw plenty of lions, zebras, giraffes, elephants, etc. and a lot of action, like giraffes fighting, elephants charging etc. so it was a truly memorable day. Also they arranged the trip on a short notice at a discounted price for a solo traveler so very grateful to them as I was having difficulty arranging a trip last minute.

I had a very bad experience with him ! Stay away, he doesn't care about what you want, he lied and he absolut doesn't represent the kindness of the locale people. He sold us two day for two activites (Mokoro and Moremi), and the most important thing is that we agreed. He changed a lot... but we finally did the first activite where we had a burger bought the day before for lunch and we were not in Moremi game reserve. First déception but the guide was cool so ok. The worst will be comming, at 19h30, he send us a message to increase a lot the price for the second activity (one hour before he said everything was ok) so we said no and he cancelled everything (brave hein to do that by message and after nothing !) . He knew since the begining that he gonna trick us. Liar, deception, stay away, you will find à better compagny in Maun !!!!

I had a pretty bad experience with Boitumelo few days ago. Boitumelo offered us a price for 1 day mokoro in the delta and 1 day game drive Moremi. The day after he came back to us saying he needed to increase the price for the mokoro, we refused as we already agreed on a fixed price and he was OK with the price. We did the Moremi game drive first, which was pretty nice. But the night before going in the mokoro trip he asked us again more money for the trip that we already planned and agreed. We refused again and he canceled our trip, although we already have planed it together. We ended up not doing the mokoro and the Moremi game drive was the most expensive of our 3 months trip in southern Africa... Well, he's a good liar and he knows how to take your money. Stay away from him, there plenty of honest travel agent in Maun.

This has been one of the best experiences of my life. Boitumelo arranged for us the quintessential African experience . My wife and I both grew up in Africa but now live in California and this was Africa at its best! We overwhelmingly enjoyed the Makoro experience on the Delta where we we spent the night on an island. Our guide Richard took us out on his Makoro in the evening to a lagoon on the Delta where we watched the sunset with the resident Hippos. The next day Boitumelo met us with our Moremi guide Lenty and we drove to the Moremi Reserve via Maun where we had our COVID tests done ( all arranged by Boitumelo ) so we arrived at our campsite in the Moremi latish in the evening. Boitumlo and his team of Machine , ( a nickname our chef earned since he did everything) and Lenty pitched our tent and theirs as the African sun was going to bed. The game we saw in Moremi made us breathless it was so close. We saw a leopard with its kill, many antelope, Zebra,Giraffe and Elephants . On our departure from Moremi we had the good luck to meet a Lion, a Cheetah and a pack of Wild Dogs. If you want the genuine “African Experience “ with outstanding service and excellent facilities. Outdoor African Tours and Safaris is the way to go.

We had a wonderful experience. I couldn't have asked more. My guide Steve was very knowledgeable about Moremi Game Reserve. He taught me a lot of animals, trees, the Delta. He was always explaining how everything work. Mr Boitumelo is a true professional. He answered all the questions I had while organizing my trip. He has a great attention to details and was very precise. My tent was very comfortable and all the meals delicious. booked a 8 day/7night safari at 2 different camps in the Okavango Delta through Boitumelo at Outdoor African Tour Safaris. Boitumelo ensured everything went very smoothly from the booking to the actual trip, and thoroughly answered all questions I had. The camps and the staff and guides were fantastic, and I had some great animal sightings. I was very happy with the experience and would happily book with them again.

What a spectacular safari we had! We went on the classic mobile safari camping and choose 12 days outdoor luxury Safari in May 2019 starting in the Okavango Delta, continuing through Moremi and Chobe and concluding at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. We went to our Okavango Delta campsite via mokoros (a type of canoe) which were propelled by polers. We camped out in the bush throughout our 11 day safari and spent our evenings listening to the sounds of lions, hyenas and other unidentified animals. All our meals were prepared over a campfire and were delicious and satisfying. There was always a pot of water at the ready for rooibos tea and fresh bread was baked by our chefs Sarah and Secret every day. Our guide TK was excellent. He was very informative, knowledgeable and instructed us on the proper conduct ie. when to stand and when to remain seated. He was adventurous but always prudent about our safety and well being. We had spectacular animal sitings and Tk could pick out the well camouflaged cheetahs and leopard that we might otherwise have missed. And he could identify every animal we saw.
