Stop At: Aurora Reykjavik, Grandagardur 2 aurora Reykjavik, Reykjavik 101 Iceland

The Northern Lights, also known as the Aurora Borealis in the Northern Hemisphere, are actually the result of collisions between gaseous particles in the Earth's atmosphere with charged particles released from the sun's atmosphere.
The locations visited are different from day to day as we head in the direction with the most chances of seeing Northern Lights. As this tour is weather dependent and sightings are not guaranteed you are welcome to join another Northern Lights tour free of charge.
Booking this Northern Lights tour also gives you a free ticket to visit the Aurora Museum in Reykjavik, Grandagarður 2, 101 Reykjavík. The free entrance is only valid on the day you join the tour, from the time we announce whether the tour is ON (by email and on our website). The entrance fees to the Aurora Reykjavik exhibition are complementary meaning that if you do not wish to go to the museum, there is no partial refund.
Join us for a night of adventure and wonder in the Icelandic countryside! Be sure to be dressed up accordingly: warm, wind and waterproof clothing and footwear.

We were still picking up when the lights appeared, so we immediately stopped and had a fabulous display even with the lights of Reykjavík! Then we sped down to a quiet industrial estate and had an even more spectacular display. Eventually we went off into...More

Despite unfavorable conditions (cloudy, raining in Reykjavik, and forecasted low Aurora activityz) and many of the tour operators cancelling their Northern Lights tours, Bus Travel went ahead with their tours. The evening started slow and a small white aurora was spotted around 10.30 pm. Our...More

We went looking for lights 3 nights in a row - lucky all three to different degrees. The first night with a big bus but didn't enjoy the experience (not this company). So many people with their torches and mobile phones flashing everywhere. The second...More

The guides are great and friendly. We saw nothing the first night and were rearranged for free to attend last night. Unfortunately no luck again. I'm really not so sure Iceland gets that good a view of the lights but they're not gonna say that,...More
