Exploring the rough terrain of Arizona’s Sonoran Desert can be difficult on your own if you’re unfamiliar with backcountry desert travel. Head out into the rugged desert backcountry outside of Sedona safely with a guided 4-wheel drive jeep tour. You’ll descend into Diamondback Gulch in an open-air jeep exploring red rock formations with an optional upgrade to visit ancient ruins and rock art sites.
What to Expect
You’ll meet your tour at the designated departure point in Sedona where your guide will welcome you aboard an open-air, 4-wheel drive, pink jeep. From here you’ll head out into the desert backcountry outside of Sedona hanging on tightly while you descend the rocky gully into Diamondback Gulch.

You’ll enjoy views of the towering red rock formations and canyons of the Sonoran desert from the back of the open-air jeep. Your guide will stop often to point out interesting sights and share facts about the region’s unique history, varied animal and plant life, and stories about the geological forces that carved these magical red rock formations.

Extend your tour with a trip to the Honanki Heritage Site where you’ll explore the ruins of an Ancient Puebloan cliff dwelling site and learn about the symbols depicted on an ancient rock art site.

Your desert off-road adventure concludes with a climb out of Diamondback Gulch and a drop-off back in Sedona.

A definate must have if you're anywhere near Sedona!
