Highlights
    What to Expect
Set out from your El Calafate hotel with your packed lunch in the early morning. Board your coach for the journey to Los Glaciares National Park, listening to information about the adventure that lies ahead from your guide.
Arrive at Bajo Las Sombras harbor after two hours and board a boat for a 10-minute ride to Brazo Rico. Meet your local guide, who will issue your trekking equipment. Hike down the shore of Lago Argentino and through the forest along Brazo Rico to Perito Moreno's base.
Climb onto a viewing platform to get an awe-inspiring view of the 196-foot (60-meter) front wall of one of the world's only advancing glaciers. Listen to a safety briefing from your guide as you gaze out over the massive ice field. Put on your crampons and prepare to scale the glacier. Although this trek can be difficult, rest assured that with your guide leading the way, you can safely ascend the glacier's sloping surface.
Breathe the bracing air and learn about glaciology and geography from your guide. View waterfalls, lagoons, streams and caves formed by the constantly moving glacier's ice melt.
Pause to enjoy lunch at a scenic point, then retrace your steps to the glacier's edge, spending about 4 hours total on the ice. Return to the Rico Arm for the boat and bus journey back to El Calafate. Finish your day's adventure with drop-off at your hotel in El Calafate.

Having been on other glacier walks before, this one rates poorly. The glacier itself is beautiful, of course, but any natural beauty was over shadowed by constant flow of other mini-treks ahead and behind of us. We felt like we were on a camel train...More

This was one of the coolest things I have ever done in my life. The glacier is spectacularly beautiful. You feel like an arctic explorer walking around in crampons. This is tiring but not overly difficult. Definitely a once in a lifetime experience that should...More

Well we thought about this for quite a while before booking due to the price. Seems these guys are really taking advantage of their sole rights to walk on the glacier. It is though as others have said a great day. I walked on Fox...More

I have no doubt that this is an unforgettable tour, although I didn't get to experience it myself. On the evening prior to departure, I learned that my paid and confirmed booking is "no longer available". I would not recommend booking with Tangol, unless you...More
