Our fleet of wooden vessels are unique and allow guests to embrace the ambience and history of Knysna perfectly. Currently we are running Coquette, our 102 year old Mahogany launch and we are very excited to be shortly welcoming two new additions, Elegance, an 89 year old Gaff rigged Ketch and Pamela, a vintage mahogany dauntless cruiser.

The boatride was truely a magical experience from start to finish. Everything, from booking the trip (where my enquiry about disabled accessability was seen to) to the end of the trip (extra pics and vids of our cruise), was done professionally. The trip itself was informative and a highly recommended activity

My partner and I had the best experience with Peter as our guide. He was very friendly and we had a good chat whilst taking in the beautiful landscapes of Knysna from the waters. If you're still struggling to decide which boat ride to go on, I would Highly recommend Magic Lagoon Chatters. Their prices and guide are 10/10.
Would also like to mention that James at reception was very friendly and helpful on deciding which boat to go on. He really sold the trip.

A lovely evening with Pamela, Pete and Mike on the beautiful Knysna lagoon followed by an excellent supper at the Knysna Yacht Club.
The boat is comfortable and well equipped with life jackets, hand sanitizers etc and the crew know the lagoon really well. A great trip, thanks guys.

We had the most amazing time with captain :) Peter on his 103 year old beautiful boat. My 3yr old and 7yr old had a blast! It was a very comfortable, informative and fun ride on the stunning Knysna lagoon full of history. I would recommend a trip with Magic Lagoon Charters any day. We will definitely plan another trip.

We had a trip on the lagoon with Magic Lagoon Charters last week and Peter, the owner/skipper has a winning combination. Marianne (who was there to meet us) is an amazing lady and so friendly. Then Peter took us out on his beautiful wooden boat for a cruise around the lagoon. He pointed out things of interest and told us a little of the history of Knysna. On our return, Marianne was on the jetty to welcome us back. All in all a fantastic experience. I would highly recommend this while in Knysna.

I would recommend anyone to start with this activity. Peter’s great knowledge about Knysna and the lagoon is very important. Owner driven charters are the best. That wooden boat is just too beautiful, both for comfort cruising and a bit of speeding.

The cruise experience was very pleasant. The boat is very comfortable making it an ideal excursion even for first timers.
Our boat captain Peter is very excellent, he gave us History about Knysna Lagoon, and many interesting facts about life in the lagoon. He also takes the most beautiful photos.

A lovely experience, in a beautiful setting, to host our family get together. Great selection of sparkling wines which we had on our trip and would highly recommend purchasing to add a special touch. Skipper/owner was a fabulous host. The vessel was beautifully restored and charming.

Magic lagoon charters made our day special - a wonderful afternoon with freshly shucked oysters and bubbly. I went with my 2 daughters and we had a really gorgeous sunset trip - when you visit Knysna don’t miss out on taking one of their cruises - their staff are really friendly and professional, their exquisitely polished boats are so romantic. They have a launch. A speedboat and a yacht so you have your choice . Special touches are warm blankets and incredible comfort . I would definitely visit them again.

The best boat cruise I have ever experienced in comparison to Durban and Cape Town cruises that I have done before. Very intimate and the Caption was very informative about the surrounding area as well. I highly recommend it.
