Always received great service and the best food, great job to the stuff and I'd go there any day with my family and friends

Came across the place by mistake, place is quite hidden but, the atmosphere in the place is quite warm and calm. Ordered the caramelized banana, mascarpone, bacon , flapjacks in maple syrup. The food tasted amazing , flatjacks were light and airy, bacon was crispy and not drenched in oil and the presentation was pretty , well put together and easy on the eye. Amazing place, will definitely be back.

Wanted to try this brand new restaurant & ownership (Ideas Cartel, The Schuyler Group) within the premises of previous “Beluga” Restaurant in Prestwich St. Welcoming staff, smiley and kind, nice courtyard, interior design in the dining area. We had lunch in the courtyard but took a chance to sneak around and get info on the live music and dining opportunities. Highly recommended by the waiter we went for trying sushi and wanted to go with sushi platter. Due to some food intolerance we could not replace the cucumber maki rolls with avo maki rolls which are available in the menu but not part of the platter we wanted to try thus we could not order it and went with ordering something else. The sushi experience was good, fresh fish and quality perception above the average in a city famous for top quality sushi. One of our orders, the tuna rolls fried, appeared to be juicy and breadcrumbs too thick capturing all the attention in the mouth. Ultimately it’s a very nice location to stop by but don’t ask me why don’t feel can’t wait to return. Sushi for two, I mean essential, no drinks but sparkling water, R450 (€30) roughly incl. gratuity. Too much for Cape Town standards, city where you can easily order platter with 32 pcs for the same price. However, The Misfits by Ideas Cartel it’s worth trying once in a while.

My room had a modern yet vintage feel, neat and very spacious. The staff are helpful and extremely friendly and made my experience even better. The hotel caters for holiday goers as well as business travelers. You can relax and read a book, do online shopping or even work all in one secluded spot. Its just amazing. The food was fantastic and hosts an array of different meals to suit everyone's needs. This is the perfect place for that work life balance we are all eager to find. Ideals Cartel Hotel is definitely my new home away from home.

I have visited this hotel numerous times now and I absolutely love it...everything screams quality and high end experience! I also happen to be a gofler and found out they have a golf simulator in the hotel! Whattt so cool...I can’t wait to stay here again!

Really great place that feels like home. From vibey spaces to enjoy a bit of company to chilled areas for a power session on the laptop. All that with comfortable rooms makes it an absolute win... Will be back!

From the warm greeting at the door, to the very efficient and hands on staff, to the sheer beauty of the place. The room had everything we needed, high ceilings which created an almost penthouse feel. Attention to detail was given in the decor, simple but yet so sofisticated. Buche (typo) the young man who gave us the tour, vibrant and well spoken. Laverne, beautiful, friendly and very professional, she made us feel so at home. Inge, very helpful and professional too. Overall feel was a perfect 10, it definitely is the full package, going from an office where u just had a meeting, to walking to your cozy room to put up ur feet and have a relaxing bath (oh the bath!!!) to having a sundowner at the rooftop bar. Highly recommend Ideas Cartel and would definitely make this our go-to when in town.
