Jody was really efficient and helpful with the information about the activity, booking the time slot for me, doing the admin and paperwork. Mark, the pilot was phenomenal- calm, relaxed. Realizing that the wind was changing, he launched really quickly. Mark was Friendly and patient! He calmed the person jumping down - chatting and giving info during the flight, ensuring a breathtaking jump. Just an amazing experience! 3rd time lucky ! Strong winds had necessitated re-scheduling - twice - and even on the day of take-off, it was a scramble to get up to Signal Hill in the minutes after the ‘urgent’ 11am phone call that said ‘The winds are increasing. Can you get here now. 12pm is going to be too late !’ Take note - from Sea Point up to the area of take-off, takes a focused 20 minutes to drive (on an easy traffic day !). ‘Administration’ - including indemnity - was whizzed through and in less than 5 minutes, I was kitted out and airborne. 5 minutes later, I was landing. And in between, great views directly over the buildings of Sea Point and a super feeling of being ‘let free’ to the elements. Mother Nature conspired to prevent the usual ‘meandering’ descent and we instead headed straight down. I felt confident that I was in safe hands. A quickly spent £70 which on balance was probably worth it ! And the additional £20 for ‘recorded’ proof of the experience was worth it too ! Once de-kitted, it was an unexpected bonus to have a car ride back up to the car parked at Signal Hill included in the overall cost.

We had a great experience! The flying was fantastic! We had good weather but also very experienced pilots who made us feel completely relaxed. This allowed us to fully enjoy the beautiful views. Flying over Cape Town is the most beautiful thing you can do, recommended for everyone!

Our experience with Skywings was elevated by the impeccable communication from our pilot, Kai. The early morning flights with the sun's golden glow on the Atlantic were serene and breathtaking. Also got great photos and memories we will cherish for a lifetime. Highly recommend!

The paragliding it self was enjoyable but dealing with the company was a complete nightmare. When we landed in Cape Town we could feel how bad the wind was so we were pretty certain that they would cancel the booking. We tried calling the company over 10 times and no one answered, we ended up calling another paragliding company and they advised us that they cancelled flights but the wind settled down and they are calling people back. When we got to signal hill we couldn't even see Skywings anywhere and I had to ask 3 different people from the other companies where I could find them. We booked our session for 17:00 and at 17:30 they told us that there were people that still had to go before us (they booked in on the day). We only went down at 17:50.

I am sorry the communication was poor. Even though our team has the best skilled pilots, our admin lady had some health issues. Many bookings accumulate when we can't fly due to weather conditions. It does get frustrating to come and wait there for your turn. We try to make everyone happy but its not possible sometimes.

It's a must, It's a must, I repeat it's a must.
I had my first paragliding flight, and it was absolutely amazing! The views over Cape Town were breathtaking soaring above the coastline and city felt like pure magic.
Skywings Paragliding made the entire experience enjoyable.

My pilot was Heinrich and he as awesome. Explained everything in detail and walked me through the whole
Experience. I don’t love heights but I found the whole experience incredible and not even the least bit scary. It just feels like you are floating in a chair. You can just sit back and relax and enjoy the view. Photos and videos are available for 300 Rand and are transferred to your phone immediately after your flight.

All I can say about this is, DO IT. You won't regret it.
From making the booking to landing after the flight everything with Skywings was extremely easy and simple. They kept you in informed the entire time and even on the day of your flight.
Once you get up to Signal Hill, there is a car park at the top but as you will be flying down to the bottom if like me you are on your own just get an UBER to the Signal Car Park. (That's if you are taking off at Signal hill. It will depend on the weather). Once you get there, sign in and everything is taken care off. The process was so easy and simple. My pilot was great fun, he explained everything to me. We took off and it really does feel like your flying!
It was so peaceful and quiet and a wonderful view of Cape Town, table Mountain and Lions Head. During the flight my pilot was even showed a few tricks with the paraglider which was a lot of fun, turning and twisting in the air. We landed and I opted for the video and photo package, its all done once you land and transferred straight to my phone. A 5 star service, a 5 star flight and 5 star company.

This is a weather based booking and that’s something we didn’t pay enough attention to. I revived a call saying it was cancelled and that we needed to reschedule for the next day. However they called me back saying that we were back on so we headed up. Be prepared to wait around as there will be delays but it’s well worth it, in my opinion this was the best experience we had over our break and we crammed a lot in. The guys who took us up were professional and very helpful.

A great experience. We had to change the date because of strong winds in the evening, but we have been informed hours before via whatsapp and got some suggestions when we can do our flight. It is very safe, the guide is an expert and knows how to fly. The pictures and videos are great, I recomand to everybody to spend the 400 ZAR. The flight was only 4 Minutes - but because of the rather weaker wind and my weight :-)..... otherwise I could and would fly for hours......
