We booked Discovery Tours on two holidays and we were extremely grateful that they agreed to bring us around. Tania and Yaseen are expert guides. They are very hands-on and helpful. On our first day with them, we had a very good introduction of the city. Tania brought us to Kirstenbosch gardens and nothing (even the rain) can stop her enthusiasm and energy while she points out key flowers and plants. We also requested if they can help us buy wine and dinner for the special day and they accompanied us even to the grocery store. On the second day, Tania brought us to the Peninsula. And her timing was perfect as we were able to avoid road traffic and human traffic! After going to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, there were light showers when we got to the van. We witnessed how the cars going in piled up at Cape Point as we were going out onto the next destination. When we got down to Boulders Beach, the timing was perfect - the sky cleared up and we were able to see the penguins upclose. We also appreciated that they are always on time and they keep a very clean vehicle. Thank you, Tania and Yaseen!

Yaseen was fantastic. He tailored our tour to see the best sights and took us to certain areas to avoid all of the tourists. He took lots of great photos and taught us lots about the region. I was even in contact with him ahead of the tour to help arrange my proposal to my girlfriend... which went successfully in camps bay (and captured masterfully by Yaseen!)

we spent three days with Tania and she was fantastic. Before the trip, she tirelessly answered all of my questions during a six month period. Before I arrived, she took the initiative to make sure that we would actually see sharks on our planned excursion. When she found that we wouldn't, she made the arrangements for an alternative - while we were in the air. She literally went the extra mile to ensure that we would get what we wanted she picked us up at the airport, even though we were more than an hour late. She picked us up every morning just as she promised. In fact, the night before, someone had damaged her car - rather than canceling on us, she went out and rented a replacement car. She probably lost money in the end, but it really shows her commitment we have traveled on every continent with guides that we found through these boards. She is one of the best. You don't need to worry about anything with her. She has a deep sense of commitment and caring and genuinely takes pride in her job

This tour could not possibly have been better. I told Yaseen what I was interested in and let him plan the tour.He drove to Hermanus with a view of mountains and along the seashore and back to Cape Town through mountain passes. He was great company. His explanation of the history was interesting and seasoned with a touch of humor. This was a fantastic way to end my visit to Cape Town.

If you want to maximize your experience in Cape Town I highly recommend contacting Discovery Tours! Yaseen met us at the airport and gave us a great introduction as we were driving to our accommodations. He is so knowledgeable about the area and history that it was super fun and efficient. He never pushed us to hurry so we could go at our own pace.

What an incredible day we had with Yaseen! He took us to Kalk Bay, Boulders Beach and Chapmans Peak Drive with a few additional surprise stops along the way! We absolutely loved it, Yaseen was so kind and so knowledgeable and answered every single one of our million questions!! Couldn’t recommend this tour company more, can’t wait come back and do another tour with them. They are so flexible and put together such a wonderful day for us! 5 stars all around!

Fabulous day round the cape. Yaseen was very knowledgable and shared lots of insight into SA. He made sure we saw all the main sights and took us off the beaten path. He even added in an extra stop. Highly recommended.

My wife and I spent a day with Tania catching the sights of the Cape. Tania is such a warm and passionate person, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. She has a sharp eye, spotting an Eland and wild ostriches. We also got into a perfect position where a troop of about 30 baboons crossed the road alongside us. All this while feeding us with nuggets of information about plants, animals and S Africa. Tania also knows where the local delicacies are! The food at her lunch recommendation (Two Oceans Restaurant) was simply divine. 👌🏼 She tirelessly drove us around, allowing us to admire the beautiful scenery of the Cape. Highly recommended!

We took a private tour for the day with Yaseen. He is born & raised in Cape Town & has a unique perspective on his beloved city. Table Mountain was closed bur Yaseen came & picked us up the next day (for no extra charge) so we could see it. What a wonderful day.

My husband and I spent two days with Tania and she was terrific! We spent a day at Cape Points ( don't miss lunch at 2 Oceans) and the second day doing a walking tour through the city. What makes Tania special is that she clearly likes people- all people. She is curious, interested and respectful of all the people she interacts with, from cab drivers to museum tour guides. This made our tour much more personal and allowed us to learn about the people as well as the place.

I really can't put into words what the experience I had with these two tour guides, Tania and Yaseen, it's our third time using these two guys and it certainly won't be the last. I can't ever imagine going back to this wonderful country and not hire them. We spent almost two wonderful weeks with them, their knowledge is like an encyhlopedia, and don't even get me started on the laughter, what characters they both are. I just know that without them we would have missed out on so much, they know so much that's off the beaten track, and our friends that joined us on this trip all agreed, we are only home a week and we miss them already.

We did a full day cape peninsula tour with Tania - from the moment we met, she took care of us as if she was showing her friends / family around. Her knowledge of Cape Town is obviously impeccable, but being with a friend you can trust makes the experience completely different. She saw the excitement we had to see animals in the cape national park and then spent a lot of time driving through unexplored parts of the park to get us to see some animals and yes we were lucky too but surely wouldn’t be possible without her enthusiasm. I wish I had known about Tania before and we would have loved to do the whole western - eastern cape tour with her! P.S. she will be sure to highlight the must sees and the must dos but don’t forget to ask her for the ice cream place she took us to, one of the best I have had!

From the time our group arrived Tania & Yaseen looked after our group like family. The ability to switch off and truly enjoy the African journey was a beautiful treat. Our trips, treats, meal bookings and lodgings were so consistant and super choices ! So varied and a real insight into this fabulous country. They are such a beautiful, knowlegeable and funny couple I would make sure anyone I knew was using them !

1st time ever to visit this beautiful country. We didn't know what to expect when we arrived. We met up with our Tour Guides Tania and Yeseen and then from that moment on we learned and saw a vast amount of this beautiful country. Two tour guides passionate about what they do. They went out of their way to show us many places from the sites, restaurants, vineyards,etc.and we had great fun doing these. If I ever get the chance to return or know of anybody travelling to cape town I'll have no hesitation in recommending Discovery Tours.
