We were in Capetown from Australia to catch a cruise and booked this one day adventure to see as much as we could in our short stay. We had a fabulous day touring, lunch and Wine Tasting. Marlene Bell was our guide. She was very knowledgeable and a treasure trove of interesting stories. We would highly recommend Marlene and Luhambo Tours.

My daughter and I recently had a wonderful tour to the Cape of Good Hope with our wonderful driver Marlene. She is lovely and a joy to be with. She has a love of Cape Town and is very knowledgeable and engaging. She provided a lot of insight to the area and was very accommodating to our wishes. She took us to Boulder Beach to experience the penguins and a lovely tour of the southern tip of South Africa. She taught us a lot about wines and she has great connections with the vineyard and the restaurant she brought us to for lunch (an amazing table at the window overlooking the water). She even got a treat, seeing a family of baboons which she adores. If you do this tour, Marlene is a must. Thank you!

We spent two days with Marlene on both the Cape tour and the Stellenbosch wine tour. Marlene was both knowledgable and fun and engaging to be with. We saw the Cape and the penguins without any crowds as she got us there at the best times. We visited 4 vineyards in Stellenbosch, Simonsig was our favourite but the others were well worth a visit not just for their wine but also the fabulous scenery especially Rainbows End. This is my third experience with Luhambo Tours and with Marlene as our guide. This is the most fun I have on guided tours. Cedric who heads up the company is fantastic, responsive and accommodating. Marlene is an absolute superstar. She is knowledgeable, engaging, funny and 100% invested in you and your guests having a wonderful experience. I cannot recommend them enough and when/if I am back in Cape Town, I will book them again.

The only way to see Cape Town and the surrounding area is with a private tour with the Marvelous Marlene. We initially booked our trip with Marlene for the Stellenbosch private wine tour and she was so knowledgeable and fun we asked if she could take us the next day to Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach for penguin viewing and to Constania wineries. As a bonus she took us tanzanite shopping too. I can't say enough about how wonderful Marlene was in getting us the best seats to view and taste wines. She asked us questions about what types of wines we liked and curated a full day around that. She focused on some gorgeous boutique wineries with amazing tastings. We went to one winery just for lunch and I thought I was in a storybook. Delheim was beautiful and the lunch divine. Our first shipment of MCC and Pinotage has arrived and every time we pop a cork and sip some wine we will have fond memories of Marvelous Marlene. Thank you Marlene for making our trip magical!! A M A Z I N G !!! Stop looking and BOOK NOW!!!! We (two couples from US) spent three wonderful days with Marlene, touring the Cape of Good Hope, wineries in Constantia, Stellensbosch & Franschoek and ending with a lovely visit to Delaire Graff, and a tram ride to Table Mountain!!! Marlene was beyond exceptional in every sense. Her vast network also allowed for a private tanzanite/diamond dealer appointment, which we decided was necessary after a few glasses of bubbly! Despite the last minute request, Marlene was able to book a private appointment for us at an exquisite wholesaler. Logistically, Marlene was always punctual, professional and flexible. She is a superb driver and most importantly great FUN! She is a consummate professional and it was evident with each stop we made - for lunch, at admission booths, and with other fellow hospitality industry professionals. We will also request Marlene when we visit SA. Additionally Cedric was also extremely helpful and responsive when we were putting our itinerary together. His suggestions truly ensured we had a magnificent trip to Capetown!

Absolutely superb from start to finish. My friend & I wanted a bespoke tour of the winelands and Cape Point covering a fixed 3 day period, so emailed with a fairly vague (yet oddly specific) requirement. Cedric responded quickly, was very understanding and - after a couple of questions to check exactly what we were after & what kind of wines we prefer - came up with an itinerary that looked great (overcoming the fact we needed day 1 to be a Sunday when some preferred places were closed) & at a very reasonable cost. After keeping in touch and confirming the final details, we got to the first day when we were picked up (a few minutes early) by the amazing Marlene...and so began three amazing days around Paarl, Stellenbosch, Boulders Beach, Cape Point and Constantia. What an experience! Marlene (who's an absolute legend) kept us informed and entertained... making sure we saw some key sights, as well as taking us to some really high quality wine farms for excellent tastings - including one or two "off menu" ones (benefits of staying away from the huge coach tours & sticking with guides who the wine farms know) and great lunches. On the final day, Marlene even went the (literal) extra mile, taking us via Chapman’s Peak to make sure we didn't miss the amazing views. I cannot say enough good things about our experience with Luhambo Tours - and will happily recommend them to anyone and everyone!
