- 76faysala00A great start to exploring the mother city ✨The trips was so good, we enjoyed all places we went to. The penguins beach is a must, and make sure to take a hike when visiting the cape of good hope ✨ Kelvin was very knowledgeable and helpful, he shared with us so many stories and history.
- Y8693KKanniee00Boulders BeachAn amazing half day tour to Boulders Beach. Thank you Kelvin, firstly for being such a lovely person and secondly for being such an informative guide, your knowledge on the history of Cape Town was superb, you are truly an asset to the Team. Bo-Kaap and the Penguins were my personal favourites. Most definitely a tour worth taking.
- I2211UWmartind00Seeing the Penguins were the highlight of our Cape Town TripWe thoroughly enjoyed the private tour to Boulders Beach. Cape Archive Tours delivered great communication once we booked the trip and we felt confident we were going to have a great time. The day itself lived up to our expectations with Kelvin being a superb driver and tour guide. Multiple stops, each one with a short history and/or interesting fact(s) from Kelvin, helping us make the most of each location. Seeing the Penguins was a real highlight of our trip to Cape Town, and would highly recommend doing it with Cape Archive Tours.
- pramod a00Great tour guide visit to Cape TownAn outstanding tour with Joseph an outstanding guide. His depth of knowledge and information, his recommendations for food, advice about managing the local environment and the level of safety made it a no brainer. Recommended
- Caroline S00Private tour worth every pennyKelvin was our Private Tour guide, he was excellent, knowledgeable, relaxed, funny and generally good company, he made sure we went everywhere we needed to go, advised us where to go, got us in front of queues and looked after us very well
- Pixelinc00If you want a good tour on limited time…Joseph, our guide, was very punctual, knowledgeable and friendly. The transport was very comfortable and new. We were a group of 4 couples but our time was limited due to our flight out of Cape Town. We still wanted to see Cape of Good Hope, Boulders Beach penguin colony and anything else we could. We are so glad we got the private tour since Joseph worked with our time constraints and got us back on time. Joseph gave us history along the way and options of things to do at each site. It was very enjoyable for all of us and the views were spectacular! We definitely recommend Joseph as the guide.
- Pioneer5028601208300Professional JumpersVery welcoming and friendly environment, the instructor was like more of a friend, glad did my first skydive there
- Road0594951486600Great Tour For First Timers! Our guide Kevin was so accommodating and knowledgeable about Capetown. If you would like to really see how Capetown is as a whole request Kevin as your guide. He was very attentive, professional, and catered to our requests during the tour. Don't hesitate to book this tour.
- AndrewShuttleworth00A tour as tours should beThis was a tour as tours are supposed to be. Kelvin was genuine, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, organised and accommodating. We really only expected to go and see the penguins but we got a comprehensive tour and informative introduction to some of the key coastal areas south of the city. We experienced and learnt a lot. Kelvin arrived early at our pickup point. The car was clean and comfortable. The agency was also responsive on WhatsApp helping us to get dropped off at a convenient place after the tour. So much more to say for just a short tour, but overall very happy and would definitely go with this company and Kelvin again.
- Octavio201300Very nice half day tourReally good trip for 5 hours. Kelvin was a very knowledgeable guide and very accommodating. Highlight was the penguins but the other stops were worth it too.
- DivyaP7600Amazing half day tour aeound main capetown sightsWe had an amazing experience with Kelvin as our tour guide in Cape Town. His wealth of stories and knowledge about the area made the tour both informative and entertaining. Kelvin's attention to our safety and well-being was truly appreciated, and he went the extra mile to ensure we had a great time. His recommendations for local food were spot on, and the tips he provided enhanced our overall experience. Kelvin even helped us climb boulders and spot penguins, adding an adventurous and memorable dimension to our tour. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour and Kelvin as your guide. It's an unforgettable experience you won't want to miss!
- Oliver S00Do this tour if you want to see and learn a lotOur trip with Candice and Kalvin was amazing. We were picked up at our hotel at 7:45 am and were brought back at around 7 pm. Candice really taught us a lot about the places we were going and even many things about South African history. Kalvin‘s driving made us feel safe all day. We met amazing people in our tour as well! If you are looking for a hassle free tour to the most important places, then we really recommend this tour. Cape Point is stunning and the next time we are planning to go again.
- 68lindaj00Wealth of InformationOur guide was very knowledgeable on the history of the region as well as the plant life. She catered to our wishes to spend more time with the adorable penguins and even dropped us off at our dinner location.
- Afe_global00Lovely day with KELVIN!We did this tour as a private tour and we highly recommend operating it this way; we added stops and got all of our questions answered. The intimate setting allowed us to travel in comfort and make the most of the picture stops and farm village. This tour has given us insight to what our next trip to SA will be like, we have lots of places we want to stop off at again and cannot thank Kelvin enough for his knowledge, help and hospitality - he is even a great photographer!
- Voyager1728836071200Great trip with KevinGreat long day full of local experiences. Cape Agulhas is a must experience when visiting the continent. The view from the windy lighthouse is great. As were the stops for penguins and whale watching. La Vierge winery had good service and good wine. Kevin was as good a guide as one could ask for.

Highly recommended! A must!
Best time in Cape Town. The tour is well organized. Bus is a double decker most comfortable with wifi, USB chargers and toilet onboard.
The hosts were fantastic Zuko and Justin just great. Keith the guide was absolutely wonderful. Highly professional, acculturated and funny. One of the best guides ever encountered.
Cape Point is just breathtaking, the views are incredibile. Must do the walking trail from the lighthouse to the tip. It's slightly difficult on the way back if not so fit but it's plain beautiful.
Boulders Beach is sweet. Need to pay 160rand per person to get in which on my behalf is too much. It's great to watch the penguins walk around though.
This tour also passes by the towns of Muizenburg Simon's town and Fish Hoek.

We had an amazing, very full day exploring the Cape Peninsula on this tour and highly recommend. Our tour guide Kevin Basseko was incredibly knowledgeable and taught us so much about Cape Town and South Africa'a history along the way. You get to see the historic Bo-Kaap neighborhood, then the coastal suburbs with stunning views before entering the national park and reaching the Cape of Good Hope. Lots of flora and fauna along the way too. Finally the penguins in Simons Town were as cute as expected. We recommend buying the national park entrance fees online ahead of time, especially to skip the line at Boulders Beach to see the penguins.

Very enjoyable day and very good guide. Only comment was that although the restaurant we visited, Les Saveurs, was very good we did spend rather a long time there as the service was not the fastest, half an hour for the coffee to arrive. Time could have been better spent on seeing things

Excellent tour that takes you to the major tourist spots out of reach of the city center. The alternative I considered was taking City Sightseeing’s similar tour, but I’m so happy I went with Cape Archives Tours instead. Having a small group allowed us to adjust the schedule a bit to suit us best. Alain was fantastic! He pointed everything out as we passed by, was super patient and accommodating, and must have taken dozens of pictures for us everywhere. He also scheduled for making a stop at Muizenberg even though it wasn’t part of the itinerary, which I very much appreciated. Thank you so much Alain!

Great day all around! Danson was a terrific guide, one of the best we’ve had for any tour! He was very informative, clearly very knowledgeable about all the different stops but also his wider experiences meant that on the drives inbetween he shared extra information and anecdotes, at the right level of detail. He knew all the tricks to ensure we got the best out of the tour and if that wasn’t enough, he became the entire tour’s, and anyone else who needed, personal photographer! Danson tailored elements of the tour to different members of the group, ensuring those of us who wanted to walk from cape point to the cape of good hope would have time to do so without impacting others on the tour. He was a safe driver and the vehicle was comfortable and had aircon. Danson is an invaluable tour guide and we would recommend any tour with him!

Dear Elliot
It overjoys us to hear that you had a great day with Danson. We are glad that he was able to cater your needs and went beyond. Danson is one of our best guides there he knows the rounds abouts. He also has a rep of being a really good photographer (you can be the judge). Thank you for acknowledging him.
Thank you for your kind review and choosing to travel with us. Compliments of the season, safe travels and hope to hear from you soon.

This one day trip stops at all the sites of the peninsula - you will visit Hout Bay and the seals, Simon's town and the natural reserve with the penguins, all the beaches outside Cape Town (Clifton etc) The wonderful Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point and do the trekking in between (if you wish) which is amazing and spectacular. You will also visit Nordhoek a beautiful internal village. it is a little pricey if you do everything but I strongly recommend it. It takes the whole day starting early (before 8 am) and finishing after 6 pm with a visit at BoKaap within Cape Town. our driver and guide Rodney was wonderful! gave us a lot of everyday knowledge about CT and the region, about S. Africa, was punctual, professional, polite, just amazing!

To be fair, the tour covers much more than the title. Thanks to Candice, you’ll know a lot about the history of Cape Town and its surroundings, including bgeography, history, biology and so on. Of course penguins are remarkable and great to see, especially when so close from your eyes, but there’s much more! I definitely recommend it, especially when traveling with Kalvin - such a great driver and one knows much about African people and their history - and Candice, who is officially the best guide I ever travelled with. One thing to note is that everyone in the spots know and like them as well, and they make a great effort to show you a lot of curiosities about the place as a whole.
For the places we’ve visited, I would say you should do the hiking in the cape of good hope for astonishing views and take a time to see great stone art right before the cape national park entrance.
For me, this tour is highly recommended specially when you don’t have much time to spend on the tourist attractions and wanted to see and know much more than the average

Being the first pick up at just after 7am made this a long day but we enjoyed it immensly and got to see a lot of stuff we'd have otherwise missed.
Our driver/guide was Jeremy - very informative and always on hand to take photos.
I can only echo what others have said about the scenery etc so will just add a couple of negatives - if any of your party do the 40 minute trip to Seal Island there's not a lot to do whilst you're waiting for them. We stayed too long in Simons Town, there wasn't a lot to do there once we'd browsed the shops.
Those 2 negatives apart I'd highly recommend it

The whole day was better than expected. We saw everything as described in the tour and were kept very well informed by our great and knowledgeable driver Rodney who also provided great us with many funny stories which kept us all smiling. Importantlly, we felt safe in his company and he drove very well also.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour and thought it was very good value for money and would recommend this tour to others, especially those who love penguins at Boulders Beach.

Sarah was our tour guide along with Calvin our driver. Overall the tour was amazing 10/10! Sarah was very knowledgeable and she talked and entertained us with cape town stories the whole way through our commute. Calvin was an excellent driver we felt completely safe with him driving and safety for our valuables left in the car. They communicated with us beforehand on the arrival time and we were comfortably settled in a van with 4 other guests, totaling 11 people in the van (we were 7 people). We started Bokaap, then drove along the multiple bays the view was amazing, then hout bay taking a boat to see the seals, then stopping at farm village (amazing coffee at roost), then boulders beach to see penguins (eventhough we only saw them from the deck it was very close and the view is spectacular), then lunch in simon town, then cape of good hope (i had very low expectations for this but the view turned out to be one of the best with the landscape and mountain), lastly we stop by an ostrich farm and back to hotel.

Hello, can anyone offer experiences as to weather on the all day tour including Table Mountain and Cape of Good Hope in mid June? How likely is it to need heavy winter clothing as it's near the water for so much of the time?
And how likely is Table Mountain to be closed at the same time?
Thank you.

Hello, we have already purchased tickets for 2 people on Wednesday Sept. 22. Two questions: 1. We would like to add a third person who will be travelling with us, is this possible? 2. On our original reservation we had specified a hotel where we were staying, that was changed by our tour company. We will now be at the Radisson Red. Looking forward to hearing from you. Thank you.
