- Paul H0 contributionsAn amazing day full of such a variety of different types of adventure & experiences! A must do on a visit to Cape Town! What a wonderful, chilled and personal tour we had with Natasha, our driver and tour guide! Just the three of us and Natasha! We had many exciting stops on our way to Cape Agulhas and Natasha allowed us plenty of time to enjoy each place and adventure. These included the incredible, wild Penguin colony at Betty’s Bay, which also had lots of Cormorants and Rock Hyrax creatures running around; the beautiful little Dutch town of Elim, with lots of houses with thatched roofs and a beautiful church; the whale watching town of Hermanus, where we stopped for lunch; wine tasting at the super Hamilton Russell Vineyards. Cape Agulhas has a lighthouse, great wild and rugged coastline, where the Indian and Atlantic Oceans meet, a harbour & pier, where we saw a stingray swimming, up close. Along the route, we also saw a lot of Wildlife, including Baboons, Springboks, Osterichs, Cranes, hawks and Guinea Fowl, to name but a few! Natasha was an amazing guide, who made the whole day such a fantastic experience!Written 6 February 2025
- Tourist387451661400 contributionsUp Up and away followed by downing a fewWe had a great experience floating in the skies above the vineyards. Conrad and his team were excellent before, during and after our flight. This was followed by wine tasting at three different wineries. Rodney was an outstanding tour guide for the day with so much local knowledge and experience. My wife particularly enjoyed the wine and chocolate pairing experience at the Lanzerac Wine estate. Well worth the time even though it was a long day, time literally flew by.Written 4 February 2025

Excellent comprehensive tour of the cape, great driver Mabee (also great amateur singer) and Candy as guide. The tour itinerary is packed as there lots of great things to see, many of cape town jewels like penguins ostrich and the beauty of the landscape. Candy was excellent at explaining our surroundings and managing people to ensure we kept it on time. The vehicle is comfortable and we were quite lucky to have space on the back row, not sure if when the tour is full is as comfortable. But thanks for a great day!

This tour was fantastic, made so by the amazing tour guide, Danson. Danson picked us up at 7:45 on our first full day in Cape Town, and we were with him for almost 11 hours. He was incredibly informative and kind - deliberately changing the order of events on the day to work around the morning fog and making sure we reached a great view for the sunset. We felt as though we learnt so much about the city’s history and it was all fascinating and Danson himself was an inspiration.
The tour was a very full day but I’d highly recommend it to anyone considering it - it includes so much beautiful scenery, including the James Bond Skyfall road; so much fascinating history which Danson shared in abundance; the penguins were adorable; the sunset stunning; and the food at Saveur in Simon’s town delicious.
We’re a family of 8 and Danson was a master at taking group photos - moving other people out of the way to avoid shadows and get the best shots - but always in such a friendly way that no one minded. And as for his ability to take panoramic shots - faster and better than anyone else you’ll have ever met - we were in awe and have some amazing memories captured in our pictures.
We love Danson and have spent the rest of our family holiday wishing he was with us!!

We stayed in Cape Town for only 4 days and wanted to visit as much of the city as possible.
Everyone said the trip to the Cape of Good Hope was a must if you were in town, so we took this tour to make the most out of our short stay.
We loved every bit of it and would recommend it to those who have little time in the city or will not rent a car of their own.
One small hiccup on this experience: we were recommended by the guide to have lunch at a specific restaurant (where apparently they already had a table reserved for us). Unfortunately, the service was extremely slow. We left the place so late that we had to skip the seal island visit-although optional, some people in our tour were interested in doing it and ultimately couldn't- and cut our visit to Boulder's beach to 45 min.

This trip was an amazing experience both candy and her driver pascal( spelling not sure) did an amazing job in ensuring we see as many places as possible and gave us enough time to enjoy each spot without being rushed. Candy went over and above to ensure our needs were met, and ensured that our safety was priority. Throughout the teip she gave us valuable information about sights that we visited and even those that were bit included in the itinerary
She was really entertaining, friendly and supported throughout this long and eventful day. Thanks for making this Christmas eve special ;) would highly recommend to anyone who has limited time on CT and wants to experience the highlights of the city.

Our day tour of Cape Town and surrounding area, as well as Cape of Good Hope with Natasha was nothing but spectacular. There are so many companies that provide a similar itinerary and program, so I think the biggest differentiator is how good is your guide.
The previous day we did the Stellenbosch and Franschhoek wine tour, and I was so happy to see that Natasha was our guide for this tour again. She’s such a great guide - punctual, knowledgeable, funny, and really thinking how to adjust the daily schedule to cater to her group’s preferences. Natasha was happy to not only provide the necessary info on all places that we visited, but also to answer our questions about the city, lifestyle, history etc.
For the tour itself - we visited all the notable areas, Bo-Kaap, Hout Bay, Camps Bay, Simon’s town, Chapman’s Peak drive, Nordhoek Farm Village, Boulder beach to see the penguins, and the amazing Cape Point and Cape of Good Hope. In the morning, there was some fog over the Twelve Apostles, but Natasha took us on the way back so we could see them, as well as one of the most spectacular sunsets of my life!

The tour was an incredible journey around the South African landscape. The combination of rural and urban settings kept travel interesting. Joseph was an exceptional tour guide! He was always professional, informative, and attentive to the needs of his passengers.
The only negative issue was that the option to pay national parks fees separately from the tour backfired when the parks website went down and tourists could not purchase gate entry tickets. Upon arrival to the park, park employees refused to take individual payments from those unable to purchase online due to their issue. Our tour guide dealt with the rude park employees in a very professional manner and came up with a solution to the problem. We suggest removing the separate payment option and just including the park entrance as the only option available to customers.

We enjoyed the day we spent with Candice and Mabee (apologies if the spelling is incorrect).
Candice was very clear with her communication from the moment we booked. They arrived to pick us up from our accommodation and were cheerful and informative.
There were 3 other couples in the minibus and we were all asked to respect each other's timings so that the day ran smoothly. Candice interacted easily with everyone so that the group was soon chatting together, which is nice when you're in a confined space for the day!
We were slightly unlucky with the weather so we didn't see the Cape peninsula at it's best and, the much awaited Chapmans Peak drive was, sadly, closed but, Candice kept us occupied for the whole day with interesting stories and facts.
This was a full day, with just the right balance of stops to see the highlights and just the right amount of time spent at each.
We enjoyed that we could choose whether we wanted to walk up to the Cape Point lighthouse or take the funicular.
Candice is a mine of information, which she delivers very naturally and Mabee drove us around very comfortably.
So far, our day trip has been the highlight of our holiday. We are happy to highly recommend Candice and Mabee and would definitely book them for some of the other trips they offer if we were staying longer.
Thank you both for a lovely day 😊

The day started off with a very friendly welcome from Candice, our guide, and Mabee our driver at our hotel in the city. After collecting the rest of our group we were driven to Bo Kaap to view this special section of the city with their brightly painted houses. Candice's explanation of the historical significance of the reason they are painted in bright colours was very informative as was her her ongoing explanations of the things we saw for the remainder of the day. She had a very entertaining way of imparting her vast knowledge and we soon melded as a group, which made the tour even more special. Our itinerary included an Ostrich farm, Penguin sanctuary, an optional seal cruise which didn't see any seals but were entertained by a pod of dolphins, multiple stops for spectacular scenery photo opportunities, and of course the reason we were there, to visit where the Indian and Atlantic Ocean currents meet. After a very windy 45 minute climb from the car park at the bottom to the meeting point at the car park at the top, we enjoyed a relaxing lunch in the restaurant where we got to know our fellow travellers further over good food and drink. The highlight of the trip for me was the Penguin Sanctuary where hundreds of African Penguins swam and waddled their way into my heart. Mabee sang us a song on the way back to Cape Town in his native language and it was beautiful to listen to, and when we tried to imitate the words he was trying to teach us, we all failed dismally. I apologise that I can't remember the actual name of his language but as Candice quipped "Good luck" at the beginning of our 'lesson', I don't feel so bad, as it is the most difficult to learn in South Africa. This was a fantastic day, made more special by our amazing guide Candice and wonderful driver Mabee. To them it seemed more than just a job.

Highly recommend this trip - fantastic way of seeing beautiful areas with plenty of stops along the way - our tour guide Rodney was super friendly, professional & made our trip both enjoyable & educational in a fun way for all the family. Highly recommend doing the hike around Cape of Good Hope if given the option - the bus meets you on the other side … the walk has spectacular scenery & is very worthwhile. Vernacular to the lighthouse is not really worth it unless finding walking a struggle - I would recommend walking up and back to view the light house - 40 mins would cover the walk/return to bus area. Paths all the way. Highly recommend to trip to any visitors to Cape Town - you tick off a lot of boxes in one day.. such as Bo Kaap, Boulders Beach & Penguin Sanctuary, Cape of Good Hope to mention but a few. Thoroughly enjoyed - Thank you Rodney.

Our guide, Candy, and driver, Marby, made a great itinerary extra special.
Candy explained each stop clearly and pointed out interesting facts along the route including South Africa’s history and its bearing on what we were seeing. She made time for everyone inviting questions as we went and helped out with not just taking photos but also suggesting better places to position ourselves.
So many highlights - inc Bo Kaap, coastal drive, Seal Island / Huit bay, Chapmans Peak, Noordhoek, Baboons, Ostriches (with chicks) Cape of Good Hope (+ walk to the funicular, funicular and old lighthouse), Boulders Beach penguins were all great - but not quite as good as Marby singing us songs in N’kosa (hope I spelt that right!) or the national anthem duet with Candy.
This team make your day - if you can go with them you will have the best time

Hello, I may book a half day tour to see the penguins at Boulder Beach. Which entrance fees to we need to pay in addition to the tour fee? (National Park?, Cape of Good Hope nature reserve? Boulder Beach penguins?)
Thank you.

My answer is the same as that provided by 'London A'. Furthermore, even if you leave out the entrance fees while booking the trip, you could pay it at the entrance (consult the tour guide on how to do this) and it may cost you just a bit more. A full day trip that includes the Cape of Good Hope, with all entrance fees included, is what I would recommend.

Hello, can anyone offer experiences as to weather on the all day tour including Table Mountain and Cape of Good Hope in mid June? How likely is it to need heavy winter clothing as it's near the water for so much of the time?
And how likely is Table Mountain to be closed at the same time?
Thank you.

Is this a hop on hop off bus? I'm staying in Muizenberg, and want to disembark here to avoid an Uber or Bolt fee.

The cost for one person is R650, but the total comes to R1300 +. Does this include all extra entrance fees?
