      Very nice tour with Christopher
Christopher showed us the centre of Cape Town. Really nice tastings, lots of stories about the history of CT and modern life. He is a very nice man, humorous and he was very open to all our questions.

      Hidden places
Parinita showed us some really cool local places, which you would simply overlook as a tourist. But be aware: the portions are huge!

      Great tour and guide
It was a truly amazing tour through the city with many types of food. Gilbert gave us so many deep insights into historical or political topics that it was a real pleasure having him with us. He even spent more time with us than expected so that we definitely can recommend doing this tour.

      Great tour with Gilbert
Terrific tour with Gilbert, an excellent guide. We learned so much about Cape Town (historically and presently) and ate some really interesting food in places that we would never have found on our own. He was generous in every way.

      Culture and Foodie Tour
Amazing afternoon with Gilbert! He met us as planned, got to know our family and immediately started talking about the history. As we walked around the city, Gilbert was sure to point out unique buildings and landscapes, all while sharing us how things have emerged. If we were to walk around on our own, we would surly have missed so much of the culture and history! This was a welcomed experience for our entire family. Even our kids, ages 13 and 10, came away with a unique knowledge of CapeTown and South African history…as well as experiencing all the yummy local food!

      Gold-mining town of Castlemaine
The weather isn't wonderful, however, it is close to Melbourne, lots of buildings from the gold mining days, and good bushwalking, and still OK sort of eating places. The Tourist Info bureau is in the Market Building in Mostyn Street, and extremely helpful elderly ladies there.

      A memorable experience!
We travelled from Australia as a family of 5 adults and we also had an 18 month old with us. Gilbert was super knowledgeable about every aspect of our tour. From the food, history of the local area and general South African knowledge. This was one of the highlights of our trip. And the food was incredible!

      Great Tour
The food tour with Gilbert was great. All tastings were exceptional and very tasty. he took us to places we would never have found on our own. The highlight at the end was definitely the banana cake with vanilla ice cream and chocolate. Gilbert has a lot to say about everything.

      Great food tour
We really enjoyed our food tour with Gilbert. There was a wide variety of food that we got to taste and we certainly didn’t go away hungry. Gilbert provided a wealth of information about the history of Cape Town and South Africa. It was well worth it.

Disappointment, absentee tour guide, no refund, total waste of time and money
I booked Off the Beaten Track in Cape Town: Woodstock Tour on the 20th of February in late afternoon. I was contacted by tour guide asking to shift the timing of the tour ‘because the stops suggested by withlocals would be shut. I told him that I was not available at other times but that I was available two days later. I realized that another tour guides I was interested in going with was available on a different day for a different tour and asked if withlocals if I could change and was told that the tour was non-refundable which I accepted. On the day of the tour I contacted tour guide via WhatsApp early in the morning to ask about the meeting point to which he replied. I went to meeting point on a scorching sunny day and the tour guide was not there. I texted and he didn’t reply. I called and he didn’t answer. I emailed withlocals and they told me to wait. I waited from 13:00 to 13:45 in front of District Six Museum. I then emailed withlocals telling them I was available until 9AM the following day and that they should either find me an alternative tour or confirm that I will get a full refund. I was told by withlocals that they would get back to me and they never did. Disappointing & waste of time & money.

      Fabulous walking tour with Sebastian.
Fabulous walking tour with Sebastian. He is very well organised and structured in his approach to Cape Town’s complicated history and the amazing sights. He did well to keep us out of the sun too much as well! Thoroughly recommend him.

Four of us had a walk around Cape Town with Sebastian.

We couldn't fault him, he was a fantastic guide who had excellent knowledge of the city and its history with some great photo opportunities, which is why we booked the tour.

He is very friendly and has a great sense ofhumour and really looked after us. We would highly recommend Sebastian and the tour.

We had a great tour with Rushdi. He is very knowledgeable about the
history and made the tour interesting with personal stories especially
regarding District 6. He gave us a great insight into the city and we
saw places that we would otherwise have missed. I would highly
    recommend a tour with Rushdi

Christopher was a lovely tour guide and gave us a fantastic tour of
Cape Town that grounded us in the city's long and tumultuous history.
Christopher provides us with deeper understanding of the many
perspectives that have defined the city. Christopher was friendly,
patient, and just a joy to learn from. If you're looking for a tour of
the Cape Town - look no more and book now!

Our first visit to Cape Town! Without Rushdi's insights and personal
anecdotes it would still only be a picturesque harbor town resting
beneath Table Moutain. Instead we have learned something about the
identity, feeling, and complex history of South Africans, something
which is impossible to grasp at first glance without help. We're truly
grateful for having met such a friendly, open, and thoughtful person
and recommend him to anyone looking to see the Western Cape through
    local, honest eyes.

We were a family of 6 adults visiting Cape Town for the first time. We did our tour with Rushdi on our first morning. We learned so much about the history of CT, living through and after apartheid and Nelson Mandela. Rushdi deviated from the tour route to allow us to buy a quick coffee from the wonderful Truths. We were all pretty exhausted after 4 hours walking on a hot day but all enjoyed the tour so much. The tour finishes at the V&A waterfront so plenty options there for lunch and drinks stop. Would highly recommend

Sebastian was an amazing guide who helped us find our footing in Cape Town. We did this tour on our first day and thought it was a great introduction to the city. Sebastian shared amazing stories and catered the tour to our specific interests. The food stops were exceptional. We highly recommend this tour as a way to see the CBD, especially as tourists without a lot of knowledge of the city and where to stop.

We chose Sebastian for this tour based on his local tours reviews and we were not disappointed As he was such a lovely young man with beautiful manners.
Sebastian was a fantastic guide, clearly spoken, hugely knowledgeable, articulate, enthusiastic with a joy for his city and his work.
We had the most amazing time with him learning so much from his wealth of knowledge and his gentle and generous explanations.
We were delighted with this city tour and we would highly recommend Sebastian as a guide in Cape Town

On our first day in Cape Town we booked a walking tour with Sebastian, more to set the scene for us for the week to come and get the lay of the land, about where to go and where not to go.

Sebastian met us at a local steam punk cafe and our tour started from there, We saw many sights and ended in Bo-Kaap, all very enjoyable and interesting.

What made the tour was Sebastian's enthusism and his knowledge and personal experiences with growing up in South Africa and the affect Apartheid had on every one. It was a complete eye opener to me.

Sebastian, even text us after out tour to recommend some places to eat and to visit.

His main tip was to keepm looking up at Table Mountain and if it cleared to dash up, we did just that a few days later and saw the views, if it wasn't for his advise we would not have managed that as the mountain was covered in mist most of the time we were there.

We had a really enjoyable 4 hours with Sebastian and can't thank him enough for a lovely and informative time.

We enjoyed a lot visiting Cape Town with Sebastian. He is very friendly and enthousiast, loves his town and explains well its history. Our children (13 and 16 years old) also had a great time. I recommend taking the 4 hours tour at the beginning of your stay in Cape Town with Sebastian as he has many good advices on what to do in the city.

This walking tour was a great way to see highlights in the central Cape Town area, and our guide Sebastian was the perfect host. In addition to guiding and educating us on area landmarks, he shared his personal and family perspective on both the city and the country's history. The stops- from Castle of Good Hope to Greenmarket Square to local snack stops, and more- are from a perspective that you couldn't get from a van or other tour. We had several teens with us, and he held their interest throughout the day. Safety never felt like a concern. Recommended for a first day to get a sense of the city, or any point to get local color.
