- Terry C0 contributionsBest experience in Cape TownThis was maybe the single best hour of our week-long stay in Cape Town. The boat looked like new and was well-matained. The "ocean safari" was terrific, a good balance of thrilling high-speed runs over huge sea swells, and nature stops to view wildlife. But what really made the day great was our captain, Yousef. Yousef is a skilled driver. He was attentive to his passengers, making sure everyone felt safe. He turned a good experience into a great one.Written 16 January 2025

- Street460 contributionsBlown Away!Absolutely amazing the skipper shoulda been in Mona he was informative and made us all feel @ ease making sure as a group we were safe and ok. The jet boat was like a roller coaster on the sea, we saw penguins and dolphins early on, I'd highly recommend but your need to brave the bumps and waves, awesome.Written 22 December 2024
- bongi8080 contributionsVibesNice time. It’s very vibey so if you’re looking for more chill and quiet then it’s not the one but if you want some great energy, music and drinks it’s a good option! Would definitely recommend. My only issue is that we waited a while and I thought the times were strict but I guess not.Written 20 December 2024
- Seaside258284820770 contributionsGreat experience both times! In 2020, Captain Riccardo took my wife and I out on a private tour and it was great. This time around in 2024, we returned with our son for another private tour and we all had a blast. Huge thank you to Captain Josh who was absolutely fantastic, knowledgeable and accommodating with our little skipper in the making. Looking forward to coming back again. Thanks team!Written 19 December 2024
- P5205IPjessical0 contributionsShould be called a party cruiseIf you are planning a relaxed cruise with your family to have the perfect sunset and mountain views, this experience is not for you. We found the cruise to be more of a party cruise. Loud party music with a younger generation. I suggest the supplier maybe states this in their advertising...Written 19 December 2024
- James B0 contributionsSuperb experience!!!Had a great trip on the serenity. The guys in the crew were excellent and couldn't do enough for everyone. For a short trip out on the waves I would highly recommend.Written 13 December 2024

What a lovely experience. The crew were amazing from start to finish, very attentive and had a laugh with everyone.
Glass was frequently topped up and had both alcoholic and non alcoholic option, with a bar downstairs with alternatives available for purchase.
The boat was lovely, option to sit on the top deck or sit downstairs out of the wind if you prefer.
Lovely 90 minute experience, you are out for the full 90 minutes enjoying the amazing views.
Blankets were even available for when it was getting a bit windy.
Music was on the boat for a proper party experience and they played something for everyone!
We enjoyed this experience as a family, and young and old enjoyed it!
The views were absolutely beautiful, incredible value for money and would recommend to everyone, young or old!

The crew were very pleasant, helpful and attentive, making sure were entertained and our glasses were full. The captain provided interesting commentry. The boat is clean and well-maintained. The office staff are helpful and accommodating. We had a good time despite the heavy cloud and rain turning it into an inner harbour tour rather than the sunset cruise on Table Bay we had imagined before the weather turned.

It was one of the best cruise that I have been to. It was easy to book and was for short duration so I could fit it between my work trip. It had the most beautiful sunset scenes making the blue water sparkle and the chilly ocean breeze making it romantic:):). The hosts/guide on the cruise were very friendly and kind. They guided us on safety and helped us in taking pictures while entertaining us through jokes, champagne and good music. It was an unforgettable experience for me. I would suggest everyone to go for this atleast once (including singles, couples and families) if you have 2 hours time.
Highly recommended!!!!

We had been looking forward to a romantic catamaran ride at sunset, but the chaos began as soon as we entered. All guests crowded in front of a tiny gate because everyone was afraid of not getting a place in the outdoor area. At the same time, other boats docked at the same jetty, making it extremely cramped. The crowd even caused panic in places – a really unpleasant start.
The ship itself was the next disappointment: Instead of a "classic" catamaran came a huge ferry-like ship, which was designed for about 50 people, but had only about 15-20 seats outside. Those who didn’t get any of the coveted seats had to sit indoors on hard wooden benches behind tinted windows – with no real view of the sunset.
Nowhere was it apparent that such a ship was involved, which leaves the impression of a rip-off. The sparkling wine on offer, served in plastic glasses, did not exactly improve the mood. The entire experience was more reminiscent of mass handling than a special cruise.
Although the view on deck was nice if you could get a seat, but for the price the experience is absolutely not recommended.

I booked the luxury catarmaran for sunset champagne cruise at 18:00 19/10/2021 .On the website they advertised ‘new cruise ‘with the boat Enigma. When we got to the boat it was definitely not the boat we booked. We were not happy about this and we’re told to go to their office for refund. We ended up never taking the cruise.
My daughter and I wanted to have this experience on the Enigma boat we saw on their website.
We spoke to a gentleman called Hilton who called someone and they told us to come back to your office for a refund. At the office we were told to send an email to explain what happened. I have not had any response from the company till today. I have not received my refund. It’s so sad that this company is advertised all over the V&A Waterfront and many more people will be deceived. I would never recommend doing a cruise with this company, there is very poor customer care.

Very much mis-described and as such, not at all what I was expecting - and an absolute disappointment.
I Imagined this would be a relaxing/peaceful trip out on the Atlantic to view the sunset. As it is, this has turned out to be nothing but a loud party boat fuelled by lots of drink, (way over and above the included two glasses of cheap sweet fizz). It is winter and the weather is cold and cloudy/gloomy, so I’m not expecting anything spectacular in terms of sights - or even any kind of sunset. However, I’m certainly no mariner, but the sea was incredibly choppy and I would honestly question the safety aspects of the operation.
I’m still sat on the Enigma desperately killing time writing this and frankly praying for it to be over.

I asked the staff at the desk before making my booking and they assured me that the weather will be okay , which it definitely was not ( clearly just there to make the money)
Then we ended up going on a different boat and not the catamaran as we wanted to which was already disappointing. And to top it off we had the worst weather out there (waves breaking into the boat) causing for a very unpleasant and kinda scary time out there.
My honest opinion is that they shouldn't have even done the cruise that night but like I said earlier they are just in for the money and don't care for the client.

It was a meh experience. They gave us an old “boat”, which was different from what they’d promised while booking, claiming that it’d be more stable in the rocky waters. Also, they’d mentioned they’d give us a bottle to share in pairs (we were 8 of us) and this didn’t happen. The lady who was part of the crew onboard said, rather callously, that those were lies told at the booking office. They however redeemed themselves on this one as they topped up our glasses. Note that they serve Prosecco, not champagne. The skipper was a kind & bubbly man and made the experience worthwhile by playing music we requested and sharing info with us all the way.

The sunset, seeing dolphins swimming by the boat and being out on the water on a stunning summer’s evening was brilliant. However the boarding process was a shambles and quite unprofessional. Also just be aware if you have kids or elderly the music turns from a relaxed vibe to a party vibe for the last half hour which could be a bit intense for some. If you have non drinkers with you or kids you are made to pay for a non alcoholic beverage which I thought was pretty poor being that two glasses of champagne (of which you have to ask for your 2nd glass) is included in the price.

My friends and I took the champagne sunset cruise on the sailing yacht Esperance. There was a brisk wind blowing, and with the sails hoisted we had a fun ride out into Table Bay to watch the sunset. The boat wasn't full so there was plenty of space to move around. The crew were professional and very friendly. The trip included two glasses of pink sparkling wine, and you could by more glasses at a very reasonable price. I can't wait to do it again.
