Splendid day tour of important sites near Cape Town.
We are a married, retired couple from the middle United States. We spent a few days in Cape Town before a cruise up the east coast of South Africa. We chose this one day tour that promised visits to Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope, a penguin colony, and other locations of interest. We can truly say that our Cape Town tour with Marshall (aka Barnabas) was one of the very best tour experiences we have had in decades of travel. He was the perfect guide. He picked us up on time at our hotel, transported us safely in a comfortable car, and smoothly gained us entrance to each spot we visited. He also planned and executed the itinerary in the most efficient manner, so we were able to visit a dizzying number of significant locations (Table Mountain, Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point, Seal Island, Penguin colony) in one day without feeling rushed, and also avoiding or minimizing competing with crowds. He knew exactly how long one would want to spend at each location, but also allowed us the freedom to choose more or less time. Perhaps most important, however, he has a charming personality, and we felt at ease with him instantly. He gave us great information, and answered all our questions in depth. We ended up having delightful and interesting discussions of everything from tribal customs to current urban issues to our respective tastes in music. We also enjoyed lots of laughs. Although we both are several years older than Marshall, we felt we had spent the day having a local friend show us around. You cannot go wrong having Marshall give you this tour.

Great tour of Cape of Good Hope
Reagan was a fantastic guide who answered all our questions. Just the right balance of guiding us and leaving us to do our own thing when we stopped. A great day and excellent way to see more of the Cape area.

Popular guide knowing the Cape Town area like it was his birth town… which it is if I’m correct. Plenty of data shared.
Top! A full day, lots of information, very kind and careful guide. Knows everyone in town. Is welcome everywhere. Helps making the tour a permanent pleasure.

    Aquila Game Reserve Day Tour
We did a nice day trip to the aquila reservat and had a great day. Wilson the driver to the reservat was a really host for the ride to the reservat an told us a lot of interesting storys about the area and the city itself. The Tour through the reservat was also pretty cool and actually the highlight of the whole trip cause of the various animal sightings. We almsost saw all of the Big 5. All in all it was a 5 Star Experience and I would highly recommend it.

    Best tour ever!
This was an amazing day for us. It was the very last day in South Africa and we booked this trip so we could see the sights with not having to drive ourselves. Jeffrey was the key to this not being an "ordinary" tour. This young man was so informative, friendly, puntual, and put in a very long day to get us to all the sites as promised. We never felt rushed and each experience was excellent! Jeffrey clearly loved his country and shared with us his personal perspectives. This made our time with him feel authentic and enriched our understanding of this beautiful, but complicated country. Our lunch spot was relaxing and had incredible fresh fish and beautiful seaside dining. I think the highlight was seeing the penquins.....we took an"off the routine path" and waded into the ocean between the rocks to get up close and personal with these amazing creatures. At the end of the day we were on Cape Point seeing the sun go down with beautiful lighting and sea views. It was a perfect day and thank you Jeffrey!

    Best Day Ever!
Our guide Morne Hill gave us the best day ever! He is an amazing guide and teacher, he explained so much about South African history and culture. He is an amazing story teller and extremely accommodating! He even pulled over several times to show us hidden gems, baby ostriches, and more. I cannot recommend him and this tour enough!

Don’t book this trip, it’s expensive and not very good at all, my driver was 45 mins late picking me up and there were only three more people on the mini bus. The way this trip was advertised it made you think the Table mountain tickets were included but once I’d booked it I was advised to buy my mountain ticket online, this costs me R360, first stop was the mountain and the driver told us the queue was about 2 hours so this would reduce the City tour, we joined the queue and sure enough it took us about 2 hours to get to the top, our driver had informed us that he would pick us up at 12 pm which meant we had about 40mins on top of the mountain, we all felt completely rushed, we then had a whirlwind tour of the City which was a total waste of time it turns out the driver had to go to another job after this one. My advise is, do buy your ticket online but either get an Uber or the hop on hop off bus.

We had a delightful day with our guide Sylvia. She ordered the trip during the day to avoid serious crowds and ensured any waits were very short. You don't get a lot of time at Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point but you get photo stops. Time with the penguins was sufficient. Lunch was at a sit-down restaurant which took away from time spent elsewhere and I would prefer less lunch time but the restaurant was good. Table Mountain cable car was excellent. Don't be discouraged by clouds as above the clouds is a warm, sunny day and Sylvia ensured that we didn't stand in any long lines to come down the mountain. Overall, the trip makes an easy business of getting to the highlights easily with a knowledgeable guide and a good driver. Don't hesitate to book.

Our fifth and final day in Cape Town and we chose a trip that would cover all the places in one day without either of us driving. From the pick up at the hotel to the return 10 hours later our guide Reuben could not be faulted . As advised we purchased the table top mountain cable car tickets on line and we were ready for the start. The entire day flowed seamlessly- the narration- the points of interest that we stopped at for photographs were the icing on the cake for the rest of the day.. the location chosen for lunch was perfect with lots of local food to select from. The penguin colony was amazing and one of the reasons we chose this tour. To see them gathered on the beach during the day time was stunning. How lucky we feel to have selected this trip. Exceptional value and a trip not to be missed

We decided to book a tour, independent from the cruise we were on. Our pickup time and place, were right on. Our driver, Armand, was exceptional. He explained everything to us. ( An aside to my review: while Armand explained everything, it was difficult to hear. The speakers were only in the front, and those of us in the back, could not hear. He turned the volume up, but it made no difference, with the sound of the vehicle.) He took the time to make sure he pointed out sights, and explained everything. Unfortunately, we had a shared tour, with 5 others. Armand told us, when we got onboard, about being on time, and it being scheduled to arriving at each location, to get to the next stop. The first stop, 4 of the group, arrived 10 minutes late, they sauntered to the van, did not comprehend what they had done to inconvenience the rest. It left a very bad taste in our mouths, but they didn't seem to care. The last stop, Table Mountain, the single traveler, went to the top to see the view. Once again, Armand, warned us to check the line to come back down, as it could get quite long, and we would hold up the others if we didn't allow enough time. The single traveler went up, and came back down, almost 30 minutes after everyone else! Had Armand not waited, and then had to move, we would have that person behind. We 4, thoroughly enjoyed him as a guide, and would recommend him and this tour again!

We were collected punctually from our hotel and the welcome from our guide Barnabas was warm and friendly. Because our group kept to the scheduled times at the various stops he was able to fit in attractions which were not included in the advertised tour.

It was an excellent itinerary and in the 10 hour tour we were able to visit all the amazing highlights which Capetown has to offer. The choice of restaurant for our lunch stop at Boulder Beach was excellent with fantastic fish dishes on offer.

The day was unrushed and Barnabas’ charismatic ad relaxed manner and knowledge of the various locations made for a perfect day exploring Capetown. We would most certainly recommend Beyond Africa Safaris to potential customers.

This tour was amazing! They came and picked us up at the Airbnb we were staying at. There were 4 others on the tour with us. I learned so much about Cape Town and was able to get some amazing pictures. I had the best seafood lunch!!! Felix was our tour guide, very informative and super friendly. He also spoke French, for the 2 French passengers. He went back and forth between English and French and it was beautiful listening to him interrupt in French. The other passengers were amazing too. We all ate lunch together. We talked about where we were all from and differences between our cultures . It was a lovely lunch and fabulous tour.
Highly recommend!!

An excellent way to see Cape Town and Pennisula highlights. We were picked up at our accommodation by guide Sylvia and driver Zane both of whom are 2 of the friendliest people in the world! The group consisted of 11 people we headed to Table Mountain (book your tickets ahead of going). The weather was fantastic and we got some amazing views of the city from the top of table Mountain. We then went to Bo Kaap street for some photos and headed along the beach drive to head out of Cape Town. We stopped for some pictures with stunning views along Chapman's Peak before heading to Boulder Beach to see the penguins (ticket price not included). It was then lunch at a local restaurant in Simon's Town before heading back on the road to Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point (ticket price not included and paid on entry). We saw some wildlife roaming too. It is a whole day trip but it went by in a flash as we covered so much! Great trip for families, couples or individual travellers. Sylvia and Zane were fantastic! Highly recommend!

If you're looking for an unforgettable tour of Cape Town, look no further than this one! Our tour guide Francis was amazing! He had a great sense of humor and made everyone feel comfortable and welcomed. He also had a wealth of knowledge about Cape Town and its history. The sights on this tour were truly unforgettable. Table Mountain provided amazing panoramic views of Cape Town, while the penguins at Boulder Beach were absolutely adorable. The Cape of Good Hope was breathtakingly beautiful and the drive along Chapman's Peak was an adventure in itself. Francis made sure that we had plenty of time to explore and take pictures at each location.

Moreover, one of the best parts of this tour was the friendly and social atmosphere. The other members of the group were all like-minded travelers who were excited to explore Cape Town and share their experiences. We enjoyed chatting and getting to know each other during the tour, and even exchanged recommendations for other great places to visit in the city. Despite coming from different parts of the world, we all had a great time together thanks to Francis's warm and inclusive personality. The one downside was the restaurant for lunch was mediocre. While the atmosphere was pleasant, the food itself was disappointing and overpriced. Otherwise, this tour was the highlight of our trip to Cape Town and would highly recommend it to anyone looking to experience the best that the city has to offer.

Visited Cape point shortly after the gates opened in the morning. It was magical, only a few cars and cyclists. Due to load shedding we had to walk to the top but it turned out to be such a good thing. Normally we take the funicular to the top and after rush down but this time we could breath in the fresh air, take note of all the small animals and flora. We were the only visitors at the viewing points no need to wait our turn to take pictures. Although I have been at Cape point several times I can recommend that the early morning is the best time to have a full experience, it truly makes one feel that you are alone on this planet witnessing the undisturbed breathtaking beauty of nature.

Overall had a good outing with Tresor. He was knowledgeable and told us historical tidbits throughout the drive that kept things interesting and us engaged. We covered many different places and I was surprised the amount of distance traveled. However, I have to take a point off due to some confusion and miscommunication (not Tresor's fault though) in the beginning that resulted in the tour starting almost an hour late.

For those considering this tour, keep in mind that as the description states, park/entrance fees are not included. What the description doesn't state is that it's easier if you bring cash with you for those fees. You can purchase the ticket for Table Mountain with a credit card, but for the other places you will be stopping at, it's better to give the driver/guide cash to purchase the tickets as a group than multiple people giving him/her multiple credit cards to hand over to the park staff to swipe.
