Great day out with Bruce. He gave us loads of insight into South Africa’s wine, as well as wine in general. This tour is fantastic for beginners as well as wine enthusiasts. You get to visit 4 different wine farms, all stunning and with their own unique attributes. Particularly enjoyed meeting Joey the Ostrich! Bruce is super friendly, accommodating and relaxed, with some great stories to share. We had a really great time (obviously, purchased way more wine than we had planned) and would 100% recommend the tour to all our friends who visit.

What a great day with a great guide. Bruce made the day, he is a super chap who felt more like a friend at the end of the day. It really is a full day experience . We visited 4 very different vineyards and had a pleasant lunch at La Pommier where we were able to have Bobotie which we love. I cannot speak highly enough of this tour. We booked a wine tour to Stellenbosch and the neighbouring wineries. Our tour guide was Theunis Minnie. Theunis was very knowledgeable about all kinds of wines and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour which included a lot of sampling of different kinds of wines. We highly recommend this tour and do ask for Theunis to be your guide.

We were picked up from our hotel at 8:15 am by our tour guide, Terry. He picked up a few others, totally 8 people, and off we went. The tour was amazing. Terry, using his microphone, told us many stories along the way to prepare us for our trip. He was simply fabulous. We went to 4 wineries and one place for lunch. Each place was unique and offered different types of wine. All in all we had 29, yes, 29 tastings. I highly recommend this tour and Terry as your tour driver. You can’t go wrong.

Great tour and very well organised. We visited 4 wineries in very different settings which all offered something different (red and white wine,brandy, sparkling wine, cheese and chocolate). Lunch was also included, which was delicious! Nick the guide was great and thankfully did all the driving. Fantastic value tour.

I enjoyed the wines, learned a bit about the process of making them, and tasted them with a great group of strangers (who referred to each other as family by the end of the day)! Kudos to Nick for keeping us on task, and for choosing a delightful lunch spot (at Backsberg). The restaurant was accommodating to my celiac disease and food allergies, too, which was nice. Highy recommend!

Glad we took this tour because it saved us from having to choose which wineries to visit (so many options) and it also meant we could sample wines liberally without having to worry about driving. We visited four wineries, the most notable being Remhoogte (superb setting, great wine, and delightful on-site host who handled the tasting for our group) and Fairview (a popular touristy site but lovely setting and cheese pairings made for a better-than-average wine tasting experience). Included lunch stop was decent but unremarkable, although the country setting was lovely. The advertised chocolate pairing wasn't really that at all - the host simply puts a bowl of candy on the table - one piece per person. You won't actually learn much about the wine regions, wine making, or how to do a proper wine tasting on this tour as the guide is basically your driver (although a very pleasant one), but if your goal is to take the hassle out of choosing wineries and you want to avoid having to drive yourself (always a good idea when wine is involved), this tour is a decent option. Our group was small (10 in all), booking via email without having to pre-pay was nice, and pick-up/drop-off was prompt.

I am so glad we took this wine tour. Our guide was fabulous and the wine was great. We went to Paarl, Franschoek and Stellenbosch. The drive was great and the group we traveled with was outstanding. By the end of the trip we were all Facebook buddies and many of us met for dinner that evening. The wine region is wonderfully picturesque. The scheduled tour departed at about 8-30 am and returned at about 5-30 pm, picking and dropping us at our hotel. The guide was charming. The winery choices excellent. Lunch was good and had vegetarian choices. You will not regret going!

We visited four wineries where we could taste different types of wine and cheeses. The guide gave us a lot of information about region and history as well as wine. Very nice trip worth the money.

The process, from booking through to hotel pick up and drop off, was seamless. Nick was knowledgable, but didn’t bore us with facts, and was great fun. The booze was varied (rather than just wine) and the food pairings were really interesting. There probably wasn’t as much alcohol as some of the reviews suggested - but then I am an alcoholic! A great trip - I thoroughly recommend it.

We really enjoyed this wine tour. The booking process was extremely quick and easy and they were very responsive to my inquiries. The very clean van was there at 8:30, exactly when they said they'd be there. We toured 4 wineries plus stopped for lunch. It was nice to have Nick who was knowledgeable about the wine and the area. And we appreciated that someone else was driving while we drank the wine. Enjoyed meeting new people from Cyprus and the UK and we shared many laughs together.

We were picked up from our hotel by Anton toward the end of the 08.30-09.00 allocated time. There were 3 others already on board. We then had to detour a bit to pick up the last guest. Eventually we started out of the city toward Stellenbosch. All was going well until we reached some traffic lights not far from SB When traffic came to a complete standstill. Eventually after about 20mins Anton decided to take a detour. Eventually we arrived at our first tasting. Anton was very polite and courteous. We did not get any detailed analysis of the grape types or terroir. In reality the range of grapes used here seems so vast, it would be difficult to cover. We visited 4 wineries in total, plus one place for lunch. There were one or two decent wines, but generally there was nothing outstanding. It was an enjoyable day however despite the long traffic delays.
