- Seaside4494440 contributionsUnforgettable 3 day tourFantastic tour! Nev took such good care of us and was so well informed. The trip was wonderfully planned out and we had a great time!! Highly recommend going with Hotspots2cWritten 14 March 2024
- DianaK910 contributionsThe dream safari tourWe had an absolutely amazing time thanks to Dylan. He was so enthusiastic from the moment he picked us up from our location until dropping us off. He kept the drive entertaining and made sure we were safe 100% of the time. Loads of extra historical facts on route and plenty of stopping points, including some epic local knowledge. If you ever get Dylan you know you’re going to have an unforgettable time.Written 14 March 2024
- valdasr20240 contributionsgreatest five day in Africatotally satisfied with the choice, tour was full of activities, but never pushy, very informative, wouldn’t know louds of things, if would only travel by rented car, hotels just adequate, food great, all organised thoughtfully, but the biggest thank you to my tour Gide Maudi, for his charm, patience, just for being such a humble and always ready to respond person.. heavily recommend to book the trip with Maudi!Written 11 March 2024
- fernandobou0 contributionsAmazingGreat experience! We really recommend this tour, specially if you do not have too much time in Cape Town. It is a long tip for 2 days, however the experience and what we see is amazing.Written 10 March 2024
- corsinb4420 contributionsTourThe Trip with Dylon as a Tour Guide was amazing. It was a great experience to take all the activites like Safari, Zipline, Kayakin. Also the food was great. Thanks to Dylon for the funny and exciting time. Greetings from ButtiWritten 10 March 2024
- N7238GFflorianm0 contributionsOutstanding trip 5/5It was an amazing trip with my fiancée. We expierenced a overwhelming time seeing the beautiful garden route and animals. The hotels and services were very very good und we felt very comfortable. But the best part on our tour was our guide Maudi. He was pure sunshine and made our trip even better. He cared so much for us and made sure that everything was fine (I broke my back 3 weeks earlier und had an torn ligament in my knee). We can highly recommend him und hope, that we will see him in the nearest future.Written 8 March 2024
- Maps350380582510 contributionsBest Tour of the Garden RouteDefinitely recommend the Garden Route + Addo tour! Maudi was an amazing guide and made the experience fun. He was funny, informative, and met the needs of the group (breaks, while some were doing the bungee jumping, he took the rest to the national park to start the hike early, etc). Thank you for the free hotspot that worked a couple of hours each day as it was handy. Starting with the safari and ending with the winery really is the best way to spend 5 days in the Garden Route. Great trip with plenty of included and optional activities to make this as relaxing or as adrenaline driven as you want. I went as a solo traveler and my group was a mix of other solo travelers and 2 couples. Mix age group with people ranging from mid 20s to 60s. The game drives, the optional elephant experience, the citrus farm accommodation, and the hike in the national park were my favorite. Everyone who did the optional bungee jumping and zip line seemed to really enjoy these activities as well. The ostrich farm and caves were also fun. The accommodations were also good, I did the hostel with the private room. Those in the dorms, 3 star and 4 star also seemed to envoy their accommodations. Best tour to explore the Garden Route.Written 7 March 2024
- P4885QKtimg0 contributionsBeautiful places and good vibeHad a great time and visited beautiful spots. Our guide (Maudi) brought a great atmosphere and energy into the group. He shows great respect to people, animals and nature in general. Please be aware that it can be that for a specific night your accommodation is not in the same place as from others in the group (sometimes it splits). But Maudi picked us up so we all could have dj er together. I booked the dorms, but had every night a dorm for myself! Guess because March isn’t high season anymore.Written 6 March 2024
- I7136FImarthaa0 contributionsCulture & WildlifeWe had a great time seeing lions, leopards, antelope, giraffe, and even walking with the elephants. From the moment our tour guide Denver picked us up we could tell he was special. His passion for South Africa was enlightening and we learned a lot from him opening up about his own life experiences and the history and life of his country during our drives. A very fulfilling, educational, and fun experience for our family!Written 6 March 2024
- cesmith20170 contributionsGarden Route DelightWe have just returned from an enriching and exhilerating weekend along the garden route. We were well looked after by our guide "Mr Nev", who made us feel comfortable as a group, organized everything professionally and provided plenty of information and personal insights into all aspects of life along the route in his special, humourous and informative way. There is something for everyone on this tour and there is some flexibility to include / exclude some extra experiences, depending on the preferences of the group. For us the Adenture tour through the Kangoo caves and the safari (where we saw all 4 of the "Big Five" available and more besides) were the highlights. We would thoroughly recommend it !Written 3 March 2024
- Doctaj420 contributionsUnforgettable Time. Thanks DenverI finished a three safari day tour with Denver and had an amazing time. The tour was perfectly planned and taken care of. I can’t say enough great things about Denver himself. Great host and person..he went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. Because of his hospitality and contagious fun personality I had a trip of a lifetime. Thanks again!Written 2 March 2024
- Dream330662228060 contributionsGreat Mini Safari and Knowledgeable GuideWe went on a 2 day safari organised by Hotspots2C. Our driver, chief organiser, local historian and all round bon vivant was Uriel! He did a great job and ran a really tight ship getting us to each pit stop on time not go mention all of the interesting insights on Cape Town, South Africa and the wildlife we encountered. The safaris themselves were really enjoyable….the second day with Simba was perhaps more enjoyable than the 1st as that farm was more scenic. Walking with the elephants was the major highlight of Day 1 and is definitely worth the upgrade. Uriel’s choice of restaurant was also fantastic - you really have to try the ostrich meat, on Nostalgie Restaurant. Also, I would recommend to bring some cash with you, as it the guides work really hard and it’s nice to show some appreciation with tips.Written 2 March 2024
- michaella_henry0 contributionsTop Guide in Cape TownNeville gave us an AMAZING 2-day trip along the Garden Route. I could immediately tell he was a very experienced driver and licensed tour guide. Yet Nev somehow still hosts his tours with so much energy, you would think he is fresh from school. Nev was scheduled to get me at 7:20 am from the Cape Milner Hotel. I came down to the lobby around 7:10 or 7:15 with plenty of time to spare and Nev was already there! I was lucky enough to get the front seat so I got to chat with Nev and I learned SO much about the socio-political climate of South Africa as well as a thorough abbreviated history. Ask this man any questions about his country and he likely has the answer. I have used GetYourGuide and Viator in multiple travel destinations including Jordan, Tanzania, and Turkey. I can say with complete honesty that Neville is truly one of a kind when it comes to guides and an absolute gem. He managed to get us on time for EVERYTHING without rushing us or being mean about delays. He was professional, polite, courteous and he has a LOT of absolutely spot-on and spectacular dad jokes. Driving: Smooth and self assured Chatter: perfect balance between informative while also allowing quiet time for people to sleep in the van as needed Pit stops: We went to a spot called Oumeal that Nev likes and it was AWESEOME. Try the golden milk latte which they can make vegan or the real fruit flavored popsicles. Viator, or Trip Advisor, I hope you know how absolutely precious of a guide, Nev is. Travelers, if you are visiting Cape Town and want to see ANYTHING, this is the guy who can guide you or direct you to other resources.Written 29 February 2024
- J9809KCcarolh0 contributionsHighly enjoyable and scenic Auswalk Three Capes walk in TasmaniaFour of us (two couples) did the self-guided 4-day Three Capes walk organised by Auswalk walking holidays. The walking was great, the paths very good and the scenery fabulous. The accommodation at Stewarts Bay Lodge is in a lovely bushland location with plenty of birdlife and the cabins were comfortable. The boat trip on day 4 was highly enjoyable and we saw lots of wildlife, including dolphins, seals, shy albatross, shearwaters, crested terns and gannets. It was very good to see the cliffs and capes from below after doing the walks. Transfers to and from the walks were excellent and our driver (Damien) was friendly, very helpful and flexible. I highly recommend this walk.Written 26 February 2024
- CSummer0 contributionsFantastic experienceThe people and the guide are what makes a tour enjoyable. I was lucky to have Mordie as our guide and a great group of 7 other fellow travellers from around the world. I understand the itinerary was changed due to past feedback and I really enjoyed the tour because it was a mix of driving (lots of driving, it’s a large distance to cover in a short period of time) with various stops and the Private game reserve as well as Mordie driving us through Addo were excellent. Mordie, I have no idea how you found some of those animals! At the lodges, dinner was included and a lunch at another stop. The food was amazing with a chance to try local game (you must try ostrich, delicious). I booked 3 star accommodations but for some reason (lucky me) I was upgraded for a few nights. The Addo Wildlife lodge 4* room was fantastic! Wish we could have stayed a little longer! Hotspots2C was easy to deal with. Loved their timely communication via WhatsApp and they were very responsive! Thanks for all the organizing you guys implemented! Thoroughly enjoyable and recommended.Written 26 February 2024

This tour was extremely enjoyable! I had a fantastic day visiting all the sites with Uriel as a guide! He was so helpful and we had some great conversations about race and social issues within South Africa. I would highly recommend taking this tour as it was one of my most enjoyable days in Cape Town. :)

If tour is cancelled due to not enough passengers, how much time notice is given? August 28 is our date.

It is rather unlikely that this popular tour will get cancelled. We close availability online if the departure date is sold out or not available anymore. We'll let you know asap of an alternative date or similar tour you can book or join instead if minimum numbers are not reached when people cancel last minute and thus affecting the tour's departure date. Enjoy your journey along Cape Peninsula.

Is there time to take the funicular at Cape of Good Hope?
Also, is time allowed for quick stops for pictures enroute?
Team Hotspots2c
Western Cape, South Africa5 contributions
Yes, you are welcome to take the Flying Dutchman funicular to save you time and effort to walk uphill to see the old lighthouse and enjoy the panoramic views. This optional activity is an extra expense and you can buy the ticket there on the day of the tour. Our tour has many photo-stops en route at various locations and activities scheduled during the trip. You are also welcome to ask the guide to briefly stop at certain points to take more photos if you wish. It is a small group tour experience, with no more than 12 guests on the tour, so the itinerary is more flexible than a large coach tour. See you on tour soon :)

Hi, there is no specific appropriate clothing necessary for this trip. Remember the essentials; like your phone/camera, sunglasses, hat, sunscreen lotion.. but also remember that South Africa's weather is rather unpredictable. Always pack a warm jacket and good walking shoes to ensure you travel comfortably. An extra towel for swimming is also advisable to always carry with you. You may swim at Boulders Beach where the penguins live, so pack your swimming costume if you wish.
