Pick up was on time, 7:30, which ensured that the look out points were not packed. Our guide Mylord was professional and made us feel taken care of. I suggest packing a breakfast as most stops on this route didn’t have much. We ended at the Graskop Gorge Lift Co. This is a newer facility which thrill seekers will love. Also, the restaurant at this location is great.

Very good value way to maximise time at Kruger. Raher than wasting valuable time driving to and from Kruger, you get to stay inside the park in comfortable tents with proper beds, with electricity for charging phones etc. They cook you a delicious meal and set it up with a lot of ambience. It exceeded my expectations

Honestly one of the best experiences of my life. The route was fun and canyon beautiful, but the safaris were definitely the highlight. Roy was just incredible. He took us on the day safari and was everything you could ask for in a guide. Friendly, caring, informative and communicative to find every single thing we hoped to see, which was unbelievable !!! Including the big 5! The tents were adorable and cozy. Felt more like glamping. Muzi hosted a great dinner for us too to top off the evening. Do yourself a favour and book this!

Leaving is an absolute nightmare. Any good faith they build with a good concert will be lost while you wait two hours+ to leave.

Have just returned from an absolutely magical 5 day safari with Mbombela Tours. I cannot emphasise how amazingly we were looked after by Muzi and Mylord!!!! Our pick up from Hazy View was so easy as Muzi was already there waiting for us. He then entertained us all the way to Pretoriuskop with lots of tips and tales about game viewing. The camp was lovely! Only 6 tents tucked away in a corner of Pretoriuskop near to the ablution block. The tents were larger than expected and there was plenty of room under the bed and at the bottom of the bed for luggage. We were entertained daily by Cape starlings, crested barbets, a crested Francolin, a Karrachine thrush, tree squirrels and a dwarf mongoose. For our first game drive, we were treated to an evening drive with the Sancamp guides’ manager, Pat. It was incredible! Although it was pouring with rain, we found elephant, a puff adder, lions, a hyena and even a chameleon in the dark!!! We were greeted back at camp by Muzi with a candlelit dinner comprising chicken casserole, potatoes, a wealth of different vegetables and a salad. Every night we were also presented with a lovely bottle of wine and a large bottle of water. He also put the electric blankets on for us as we were cold and damp after our trip in the rain! Because of the rain, the lanterns and the fire pit couldn’t be lit but the electric blanket and the gorgeous meal made up for that! Muzi can cook!!! The next morning tea, coffee and rusks were provided for us from 5.30am and we got to meet our guide for the next four and a half days, Mylord, the master of collective nouns! We learned about towers of giraffes, bloats of hippos and crushes of rhino during our stay! Every day we went somewhere different and we easily found the big 4 (only the leopard eluded us but we saw the results of a leopard kill.). We fell in love with the Ugly 5, particularly hyenas, and we even made inroads into seeing the small 5! Breakfast was either a delicious continental breakfast or a cooked breakfast, followed by a delicious dinner on our return. We even had a BBQ on one night. Muzi and Mylord couldn’t have worked harder to make our stay better. I can thoroughly recommend Mbombela Tours and we will definitely be back!!! Thanks, guys!!!!

We made an awesome one-day trip in the part of Kruger Park (we entered at Fabeni Gates and went out through the Crocodile Gates). Our driver, Sifiso, is a real master! He let us see a lot of animals. Among those we met two pretty aggressive elephants, who came out to a road, ate marula and didn't let the cars pass by. Sifiso was a hero, he came near to the elephant and when the elephant started threatening us, he acted as a big animal, who isn't afraid of the elephant, roared at him with the engine and made the elephant run away. It was pretty scary, but very exciting!

I booked a transfer from our hotel in White River to Sabie where we were doing a rafting trip down the river. Unfortunately they were late in showing up but we were able to move things around and it all worked out. Once they arrived, the vehicle was new and clean. Our driver, Muzi, was super helpful and great to talk to. He ended up coming on the rafting trip with us and recommended a great spot for dinner in Hazyview before taking us back to the hotel. If you book a few weeks in advance like I did, I'd recommend sending a message on WhatsApp the day before to confirm pickup times and places.

Very bad service. Booked 2 full day safaris to Kruger with a pick up from our hotel, because we do not have our own car with us. We chose Mbombela Experience Tours and Safaris because they picked us up from our hotel. Later we simply receive an email that we have to organize our own transport to Nelspruit to join the safari. When we indicated that we had booked with a pick-up from our hotel, our booking was simply cancelled. Very unprofessional and rude. Be warned about this company!

Mbombela Tours are excellent, fast and great communication leading up to the trip. The camp site is well maintained, tents are beautiful and food was delicious and the guys were very friendly and welcoming. The game drives was excellent with very knowledgeable rangers. Highly recommend!

I did the 2days/1 night camping, Blyde Canyon & Kruger safari with Mbombela Tours in June, & I must say, it is by far one of the best safari experiences I’ve had. Netto, the co-owner of Mbombela Tours, along with my guides Muzi & Trevor made my safari experience one to remember. On my first day, I did the Blyde Canyon & Panorama Route tour with Netto as my driver/guide. It was such a beautiful drive to some of the most scenic places in South Africa. After my Panorama Route tour, I was dropped off inside Kruger NP for my overnight stay at Mbombela’s tented camp. Because it is camping, you can’t expect anything luxurious, but honestly, it was beyond what I expected. The tent I stayed in was spacious, with a comfy bed, as well as an electric blanket for the cold winter nights in the national park. Muzi showed me around camp, took care of me, & made sure I had everything I needed for a comfy stay. He is so personable & friendly, and it was a joy chatting with him during my stay. The next day, I did a full day game drive in Kruger with Trevor as my driver/guide, with Muzi joining us. Trevor is also very personable & is super knowledgeable about the park & the wildlife that I learned so much from him in just one day. For me, an excellent safari experience isn’t just about seeing as much wildlife as possible, but also how the guides interact with their guests. And my safari experience with Mbombela Tours was exceptional. I only wish I stayed longer, but nonetheless, I do hope to come back again & bring more people with me to experience an enjoyable safari with professional, knowledgeable, fun, & overall superb guides.

Just did a Kruger overnight tour with them!! Can’t describe how perfect it was. Really. I’m a solo traveler, I texted them in last moment while taking the bus from Johannesburg to Nelspruit arriving at night. Even so, they got me for the next morning in a group that was doing the safari and picked me up at 5am in my hostel and the tour began. I did a fullday game drive and overnight in a Camp, with also a night drive and morning drive in the other day. After that, they brought me to my hostel in Nelspruit again. The whole experience was awesome. All safe and sound. Got to see pretty much every animal that was to be seen. The guide, the game drives, the car, all the guys involved, the tent to sleep was great and warm, the dinner was perfect with lots of food and also bottle of wine. Definitely recommend to anyone.
