Was a great idea for an overcast rainy day- gorgeous views and the guide was very knowledgeable- kids enjoyed it as well

Had an amazing time with Mike the skipper, it was a little cold and he offered us blankets, amazing views, expert in the knowledge of the wild and made us feel involved

I went with a group of friends on the Touws River, and what an amazing experience! The first part of the trip takes you to the river mouth, and then up to the pont over the river. It was still, and quiet, with amazing reflections in the still water. Lots of birdlife. Take your own drinks and nibbles

A great morning cruise. Mike was an excellent guide and we learned a lot about bird behaviour and the lakes area. Especially enjoyed the section on the Duiwerivier. So serene with a beautiful sighting of the Knysna Loerie. The boat was comfortable and allowed great views from all sides.

Was a wonderful and calming experience. Knowledge of the surrounding area was shown which made the trip much more entertaining and educational.

I spent the morning on this river boat trip and saw the wild bird life within touching distance on the river bank! Nice slow pace on the 1.5 hour trip so I could take everything in. Mike is very knowledgeable about both the wildlife and their habitat. Don’t miss this trip as you travel down the Garden Route 🦅🙏🤗👍 x

Start the Pied Kingfisher trail walk at the Wilderness village end and pick up the wilderness River Safari ferry at the Tarentaal day visitors picnic site for a leisurely cruise back to the village. Lovely trip!

We had a lovely cruise with Mike this evening, it was a beautiful and quiet trip with incredible views.

Phoned toq find out if ferry was running (as is suggested on Web site) although it was not running due to overcast and cold weather I was told a ferry back to camp site was not a problem. We were collected at the arranged time and had a knowledgeable commentary about the local birds. On getting back to campsite four people were picked up for the tour of the rest of the river, we were asked if we wished to carry on for the river trip, we did as the bird life was so good, we saw two different Kingfishers and other birds suck as the black Cuckoo Mike certainly knows his stuff and we had a most enjoyable afternoon. Good value for money as well.

Reliable and friendly service. Our rather large group experienced a wonderful trip on the ferry from Fairy Knowe to Salinas. Delightful experience.

We went on this cruise with my boyfriend, it was worth everything cent we paid. It is very cheap and the guide, Mike was friendly. He explained the area thoroughly to us, saw quite a range of birds which he also explained to us. He also offered us some snacks and drinks ♥️ Thank you Mike♥️
