Amazing tour with Johnny. A genuine enthousiastic person who loves to share his knowledges about Durban and South Africa in general. You will go in places other tour guide won't go and have a way more authentic experience then you could get with other providers. A taste of the real Durban! Enjoy !

Johnny was great at explaining life in Durban giving context and a personal touch to the city. He showed us interesting sights and was extremely patient with us and our questions! We loved the insight into a space we wouldn’t usually be allowed to see without intruding as there was personal relationships already built for us. The cheap and beautiful sourvienrs were a plus ;)
We would totally recommend and Johnny is very personable just a great guy to have a yarn with.

Amazing customer experience. I was very impressed by Johnny and Hanne, they provided me with an amazing customer service, they are very detail-oriented, responsive and kind, and thanks to them, my trip to the Drakensberg mountains, Lesotho and Durban was magical. A few days before my trip to Kwazulu-Natal, I asked them last minute if I could go to Drakensberg, Sani Pass and Lesotho and they organized a dream day trip with a very knowledgeable guide. Johnny adapted to all my last minute needs (airport pick up and drop off, and even a last minute detour to Pietermaritzburg to do a surprise visit to my mother's friend). Captivating visit of Durban with Johnny who gave me a detailed history of the city and took the time to show me the gorgeous botanical gardens, the city center, the markets and the seafront where we had a delicious lunch. Highly recommended at all levels. A million thanks to Johnny and Hanne, they are very talented and coordinated my trip so well since Day 1, they are real gems!

Johnny was great - he knew a lot about the places he took us and about the history of Durban in general. The walk was well-planned, and it was really nice to see parts of the city you usually wouldn’t be able to, such as all the different markets. It was also amazing to ride taxis with a local, as that’s not an experience tourists usually get to partake in. The complimentary meal was also great and ending at the beach was really nice!

This was in incredible tour. We got great insights into Durban life, it's culture and history, and experienced aspects of the city that we never could without Johnny's guidance - Traveling on the combis, herbal medicine markets, local street food - it was amazing. Johnny is a great guide and we loved hanging around with him for the day. We couldn't have had a better experience.

You won't find another tour like this one for exploring Durban. Johnny transforms you into a local for the day, allowing you to explore the markets and experience the local transport system. He knows and greets everyone wherever he goes so you feel safe with him in places you usually wouldn't venture to. I cannot recommend this tour enough, it's a must for exploring Durban!

One of the highlights on my trip through southern Africa. All South Africans told me „Don‘t go to Durban‘s city centre!“ and the i found Johnny who offers a walking tour. The tour was not only insightful, it was also fun and a great way to experience life in downtown Durban.

This experience is like other. We got to explore places in Durban we would never see on our own. The tour included a unique view into the landscape, people and resourceful transportation in and around the neighborhoods, city, and Durban Beach.
Johnny is a great guide! We tried new and unique food and had time to do some local shopping. I bought a beautiful skirt and love the looks on the faces of the people at our resort when they learned where I got it.

I really, really enjoyed this. Johnny is a delightful guide. He's flexible and friendly and the rapport he has with street vendors and others we encountered felt very authentic. His enthusiasm and knowledge about Durban made this well worth the price.

Johnny did not disappoint on any level. He exceeded our expectations as he was genuinely interested in sharing stories and insights about the Durban of the past, present and future! His approach included walking; taking a local bus; a minivan; tasting food in local markets; interacting with shop owners; taking in panoramic views and engaging in questions about South Africa's apartheid and current society. At short notice, he coordinated a tour of the Sani Pass with an another operator which was an excellent adventure! We left behind our favourite coffee mug and he arranged for its return on our way to the airport! Johnny is THE best!

Hello, my partner and I are wanting to visit the Victoria Street Market tomorrow and wondered if you offer a tour there? I notice you also do the beachfront but we only want to visit the market, is this something you could offer? Also how much walking is involved? Thanks in advance for your help Sally
