          Awesome overnight safari experience
We did the overnight safari to Hluhluwe with Shelldon and it was one of the best touring experiences we have ever had. Shelldon is a very knowledgeable and friendly person who told us a lot about Zulu culture on the way to the safari reserve. Once there we were treated with three most memorable game drives (evening/night and early/late morning) in an open vehicle that allowed us to see the animals up and close. Seeing a full grown lion and an enormous male elephant walk right past our vehicle is an experience we will never forget. We stopped in Durban on a cruise and he did not only pick us up and dropped us safely and on schedule - he also adapted the times accordingly at just a day’s notice when we learnt that we would arrive three hours early. So we were able to see even more. A full recommendation from the four of us. Even if you have time for just one tour - book this one and you won’t regret it. Should we ever return to South Africa we will book Shelldon again. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories!

Hluhluwe Imfolozi 3 Day Safari Tour
Paul was our guide for a three day St Lucia and Hluhluwe safari. We were picked up from Durban and driven to St Lucia for an estuary cruise and then from there went to Hluhluwe where we had one evening game drive, a full day game drive and a morning game drive. Paul was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and we were able to see 4 of the big 5, as well as plenty of other animals including a cheetah. Paul was great fun to be around as well. Included in the price was all our transport, accommodation, breakfast and dinner and game drives, which we did in an open vehicle. We were four twenty year olds visiting South Africa, so the reasonable price appealed to us and we had a brilliant time on the safari and would definitely recommend it.

Amazing Experience from start to finish!
My husband and I had the most amazing trip. Our guide Paul was just exceptional! From the minute he collected us, he was wonderful company and we were enthralled by his unbelievable knowledge and experience. He went out of his way to ensure that we seen as many animals as possible at Hluhluwe park. With his vast knowledge, he was able to track animals and second guess where they would appear. He ability to spot animals was incredible. He was lovely company to share a meal with after a day at the safari. The accommodation was wonderful and Shelldon was very easy to communicate with when booking. I would highly recommend this company and make sure to ask for Paul!

Mpume had us captivated from start to finish. Her knowledge and passion of the Zulu culture in every word ! What a fresh way to experience the Zulu culture in a real setting and not in an open air museum. I will be back. A Most enjoyable experience.

          Unbelievable Experience
We were well looked after and led by our guide, Jacki. We saw a large range of animals, the highlight being a close encounter with an elephant. Food and service 10/10. Rooms were worthy of a 3 star rating and WiFi had just been upgraded and adequately did the job. Showers were hot although water flow was poor. If you're looking for value for money, don't look any further, excellent.

          Beautiful views and expert guides!
My girlfriend and I had a brilliant time on this tour. The Sani Pass was beautiful and we relished learning more about South African culture and history from Shelldon Nathi. It was a truly brilliant way to start our adventure.

A great experience with a gem of a tour company.
Based on reviews that we saw on TripAdvisor we you decided to employ this company with the view of giving us a different view of Durban. We wanted something that was not necessarily on the tourist trail , as such we asked them if they could do this and the response was fast and professional, the response times were almost immediate but not pushy, and they were not trying to oversell. We found that Sheldon (owner ) was more than happy to talk even though it was after hours, and he relayed information that we thought was most helpful, some of the suggestions did not fit with our schedule and timings as we are on a cruise ship, I told him this and immediately he suggested several other things, nothing was too much trouble, I suggested we did an animal Safari at the tala animal reserve and the thousand hill view and then a Durban city tour. He said absolutely not a problem, and the next morning our guide Brandon turned up who was excellent as well, we were met personally by Sheldon and Brandon which was a double bonus, and we proceeded with our customised tour, incidentally whilst this tool was customised , it was exactly the same price as advertised for the regular tour, which I thought was fantastic. This said to me that they not sharks, they are indeed highly professional highly motivated and understand everything the client needs. We will be using them again on our next visit to this part of the world indeed to conduct perhaps an even bigger tourl of more of South Africa that is not on the tourist path. I completely and totally recommend this company to at least if not give you a fantastic time in Durban and Richards bay, as for the rest of South Africa I'm sure they can either do it themselves or arrange others who are trustworthy, to do the tour the rest of South Africa we will be using them again that is a guarantee.

          Experiences of a lifetime!
I started chatting with Shelldon on-line February 2022 planning a trip to Durban in November, we wanted to visit a game reserve and the Zulu natal battlefields. Over the following months he proposed a bespoke trip for my husband and I. We spent three nights at Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve and included • 2 Hour estuary cruise in St Lucia • Emdoneni cheeta project tour • Elephant interaction • Game drives Followed by two nights at Elands View Guesthouse with trips to •iSandlwana • Fugitives Drift •Rorkes Drift •Empangeni and Dundee Unfortunately Shelldon wasn’t able to do the trips himself but arranged for @Paul Koekemoer to be our guide for the first three days and then @Don Botterill took over for the battlefields. I cannot thank them all enough for making this trip so memorable. They even arranged a surprise Chefs Table at the lodge for the night of my birthday. Spending time watching the big 5 at dawn and dusk is something we will never forget. Paul was a wonderful guide so knowledgeable and how he spotted the smaller creatures was just amazing (scorpions in the dark!) And then hearing about the battlefields from Don who really brought it to life, so passionate and shared great stories with us. Luckily we also got to meet Shelldon and did a great half day tour of Durban again so knowledgeable and gave us a great insight into this diverse city. If you are ever thinking of visiting this area of South Africa I would not hesitate in recommending them to arrange a wonderful experience for you.

Amazing three day tour with Shelldon
Shelldon was an awesome guide. He custumized a 3 day tour for our group of seven friends. He picked us up in Durban and on our way to Hluhluwe we stoped at the Cheetah Rehabilitation Centre to see cheetahs and other cats very close. We did a Game Drive in Hluhluwe Imfolozi Game Reserve in the evening and we did more on the next day. We always had the option to do something else or to use the open cars from the hilltop camp. Shelldon told us a lot about Southafrica, Zulu culture and the animals we saw. And we saw a lot of animals like elephants, rhinos or buffalos. On the last day we went to SodwanaBay for diving. It was an excellent spot were we got to see turtles and a shark! As an extra he recommeded a perfect surfing spot in Durban to us. I totally recommend Shelldon as a guide und will definitely do a tour with him again whenever I come back to Southafrica.

Best trip ever bc we had the- Best tour guide ever!
I can not recommend Sheldon enough-of Coastal & Country touring- he is outstanding and gave us the trip of our lives. Traveling with my 80 year old mother and 11 year old daughter- he took all concerns off our minds- handled everything and we never felt safer or more engaged. We did SO many tours with Sheldon that I can’t just list one to review bc I feel like we did them all. On our trip he accompanied us on the following itinerary: Thousand Hills tour, Tala Game Park, Zulu cultural experience, Humpback whale watching, St Lucia Hippo Safari, HluHluwe Game Park overnight, Mandela & Gandhi history tour, Thousand Hills Steam Train. He was also always willingly at our disposal to help in the event we needed anything which traveling w children can arise. Sheldon was fantastic and I will only ever use him for any tours in South Africa. He made it fun- and my daughter loved him, even calling him Shelly affectionately by the end of the trip! Thank you, Sheldon, for going above and beyond to make this trip safe, educational, exciting & fun for us ladies traveling alone!

          Rorke’s Drift & Isandlwana tour
This was an amazing 2 day trip! Shelldon was a great guide, knowledgeable, organised and entertaining! We had plenty of time to wander the battlesites, and given so much detail, passionately delivered, that we could almost believe we had been there at the time! Well worth doing, an experience that we will not forget!

We visited the Zulu Battlefields last week. From the moment he collected us at our hotel till the moment he dropped us back he gave us the best of days. He is so informative and enthusiastic about his subject that at the end of the day we appreciated so much more of how the battle came about and about its outcome. He never rushed and explained the whole campaign in depth and we really enjoyed the experience.A comfortable vehicle with stops for lunch that he provided.A long day but thoroughly enjoyable. When we visit again he will be our No 1 choice.

We went to Rorkes drift with Sheldon recently and what an excellent day out it was. We've both grown up with stories and films about the place, but it was really good to hear Sheldon's exceptional knowledge and facts about what actually happened there. It has inspired me to do further research myself and was a fantastic day.

An absolutely wonderful day out with Shelldon at Isandwala and Rorkes Drift. We were hesitant at first thinking we could save some money and do it on out own ! We are so so glad we didn't, Shelldons knowledge on the two sites is absolutley unmatched , we had stories from start to finish on the road and we certainly wouldn't have known all the amazing spots we were driving past had we done it ourselves. We had a wonderful time putting together the events that took place in these historical battlefields ! While it is a long drive it was worth every minute in the car as Shelldon told us amazing stories and educated us on so many different topics ! Keep doing what your doing Shelldon honestly your expertise are rare and have made a lasting impression on all of us who joined your tour. We couldnt recommend this tour and our guide enough to amy future visitors !

There is no point hiding the fact that this is a very long trip for a day tour, but there is also no other way to see the battlefields as they are very remote ! Shelldon does everything, not just the driving part as some « guides » usually do.

His explanations were truly insightful and we really discovered something we were not aware of. These places are very moving, even for non British people, I really recommend going there. Despite the long road, we never felt like we were in a rush, which I appreciate a lot (as I had to translate in another language for my mother) Furthermore, despite some African surprises on the road, he managed to keep the tour on time for the whole duration of the trip. Just amazing.

        Thank you !
