Great tour - KG is an excellent guide!
I highly recommend this tour. Johannesburg is big city - so seeing all of these sights on your own would be very difficult. I learned a lot about South African history during the tour. KG was an excellent guide and I enjoyed spending half the day with her. She is very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciated that she arranged a local guide for the Soweto walk, and another person showed me around Mandela house (these were examples of KG working with her fellow tour guides to ensure the best experience for all).

Truly unique half day tour of Joburg and Soweto
We had 1 full day in Johannesburg and needed to see the city, Soweto, learn some of the history and understand the culture. Pastar was timely, knowledgeable, provided context, and answered all of our questions fully.

I have been on 4 separate day tours in many years of coming to Johannesburg with family and friends this was by far the most unique experience. We were even able to walk through an area of lowest income residents and felt safe and welcomed.

A true 5-star experiment and not to be missed for your time in Jozi.

Amazing Soweto Tour
Highly recommend the Soweto and Johannesburg tour. Our guide and driver were wonderful. Very thoughtful and the guide, Bongani, gave us so much history so we gained a real appreciation of the struggles of Soweto. Highlight of the trip was definitely the generosity of people in the Township inviting us into their homes. What wonderful, warm people.
Make sure to bring money to tip your main guide and driver, to various onsite guides, and to give people when you visit their homes.
Fabulous tour. We learned a lot and have a greater appreciation of the struggle.

Great service! Pasteris a very helpful guy. We had a great Soweto tour and he also helped us a lot in different parts of Johannesburg. We were filming a travel show so we demanded a lot of efforts from a guide. We got everything we needed. Highly recommended!

Very eye opening

Our tour guide Pastor was so full of history. Any questions we may have asked he was able to answer. The Nelson Mandela museum was closed but we did the Constitutional Hill. This was gut wrenching and the type of history I love to hear about. It was just closed in the 80's (that's not long ago). The Hector Pieterson Museum doors not allow pictures inside. I'm assuming because they were kids. Pastors recommendation for lunch was excellent. I can't wait to come back with a group.

Great Time in Jo’burg and Soweto.

Pastor was an amazing guide. He picked us up on time and gave us a very intriguing and entertaining tour. His professionalism is outstanding and his knowledge of SA history is what you’d expect in a tour guide. We’re not history buffs, but we loved every bit we learned today. Very fascinating.

We’re using Pastor for another tour tomorrow!

Perfect introduction to Joburg/Soweto!
My wife and I had an amazing time on our guided tour of Joburg and Soweto with Pastor. He was friendly, informative and truly went above and beyond as he showed us the highlights and introduced us to the eye-opening and important history of the area. We liked the experience so much we even recommended his tour to friends we met later on in our travels.

Enjoyable and Educational
Business
one day free on a short business trip as a first time visitor. The tour of JoBurg and Soweto was excellent. Our guide Pastor was deeply knowledgable of South Africa history and culture and made the day safe, enjoyable and educational.

Great experience visiting Johannesburg and Soweto
Friends
My husband and I booked this tour as it was our first time in South Africa and we wanted to have a full experience. Norman was our tour guide and he was so great. We were staying at a relative’s house and he picked up there no extra charge and brought us back safely. Our tour was really nice and we got to see different areas we wouldn’t have visited/seen as tourist. Normal gave us a full picture of life in Johannesburg and Soweto. He was very patient with us, make sure we took pictures and was very knowledgeable. Thank you Norman

It was very esucative and fun. Pastor made it enjoyable, he has a vast knowledge of the South african history.
Solo
The higlight was visiting Mandela's house. Such great memories in there and I learned quite a lot..
I also got to experience the different levels of life in Soweto.
Before I thought it was very dangerous but it's just a safe place full of historic events.
