          Invaluable Joburg experience!
This was an invaluable experience to learn about Joburg, Soweto and the history of the region. Pastor was an excellent guide, made sure we were informed, comfortable and safe. We weren’t able to see the Apartheid Museum, but the substitute of Constitution Hill was excellent. Definitely recommend this tour and specifically recommend Pastor.

Wonderful tour of Soweto with black-owned company that I highly recommend
I was fortunate to receive a tour of Soweto led by Pastor/Pastar, co-owner of this tour company with this wife. He was very knowledgeable about Soweto based on his own experience having lived there, and knew the people we visited along the way. I saw key museum sites without being rush and met some locals in a slum area. It was the opposite of a 'mass-produced' group tour. In addition, I was happy to support a black-owned tour company. This should be an important criteria for anyone who wants to support economic and social change in South Africa, where wealth continues to be highly concentrated among whites. I would highly recommend this tour and this tour company, which I understand has years of experience providing a whole range of both city and safari tours.

          Amazing tour and well planned
The tour was well planned to cover all main spots from Johannesburg. The tour agency answered all my questions and the guide KG was amazing. Planning each spot to have enough time to visit, and also explaining about each place. I strongly recommend.

          Worth doing
We took a full day tour from Johannesburg. Our driver, Pastor, who brought us around Pretoria was extremely knowledgeable about the history of South Africa and Pretoria in particular. He was a very safe driver and was very patient with all our questions. The Cullinan Mine part of the tour was very interesting and it was great to see the models of the various famous diamond etc. in the museum. However, we were not impressed with the guide. She could not answer any of our questions and had no more information than we could read in the museum etc, disappointing. We were also a little disappointed with the selection of diamonds in the shop though the guy there was very pleasant, helpful and informative . Overall the trip was value for money and we were happy with it and would recommend it.

We had an late evening flight and decided to go on a half day tour in Johannesburg with Pastor. Absolutely the right decision! Everything was perfect, starting from the on time pickup to the tour itself. We learned way more than expected and seen so many different places of Johannesburg. Pastor obsolete knew how to show the differences of Johannesburg that you encounter within few hundred meters. 100% recommended!

          Sensational Tour !!
Today’s tour was one of the most amazing and informative tours of our lives !! We have used Viator on multiple trips in the past and they have all been good experiences. Today was by far the best thanks to our tour guide His knowledge of the history of South Africa and the entire region was exceptional!! He completely and patiently answered every single question we asked. I can’t say enough about him. Just an awesome experience

Pastor done an amazing job, this wasn’t my first experience with him and won't be the last. An insightful knowledge of honourable kingdoms who held morals, an abundance of culture and a reverence amongst each other that few adhere to present day. Butnow, Millicent and the rest of the team done a great job showcasing the different cultures who all followed a similar code of conduct, but in their own way. Thank you to all the team who work hard day in day out

Great Experience on the Soweto and Apartheid museum full day tour
I only had basically one day to explore Johannesburg on a quick solo trip, the full day Soweto and Apartheid museum tour was certainly worth it. My only regret now is I wish I could spend more time exploring this city and country thanks to all the great information my guide gave me... Hopefully next time!

          Awesome tour !
Family of 3 did this tour first week of Jan 2024 and we loved it. Cpho who was our driver/guide did a great job. We were picked up on time from Holiday Inn JNB airport. Cpho is very knowledgeable and knows every street in JoBurg and Soweta. He was very patient and answered all our questions..even took us to a good restaurant for lunch. We wanted to see Gandhi Ashram instead of Apartheid museum and he accordingly adjusted our tours. Great job !

          Private Tour with knowledgeable guide
Pastor was an excellent tour guide. We were so impressed with his knowledge of all parts of Johannesburg and its rich history. He knew all the historical places to visit and he knew a lot of people at the exhibits so entry was easy. His van is roomy, clean and comfortable. People were very friendly along the way. We were in Johannesburg for one day and staying at Intercontinental Hotel and be picked us up and dropped us off. I would highly recommend this private tour.

I highly recommend this tour. Johannesburg is big city - so seeing all of these sights on your own would be very difficult. I learned a lot about South African history during the tour. KG was an excellent guide and I enjoyed spending half the day with her. She is very knowledgeable and kind. I appreciated that she arranged a local guide for the Soweto walk, and another person showed me around Mandela house (these were examples of KG working with her fellow tour guides to ensure the best experience for all).

Highly recommend the Soweto and Johannesburg tour. Our guide and driver were wonderful. Very thoughtful and the guide, Bongani, gave us so much history so we gained a real appreciation of the struggles of Soweto. Highlight of the trip was definitely the generosity of people in the Township inviting us into their homes. What wonderful, warm people.
Make sure to bring money to tip your main guide and driver, to various onsite guides, and to give people when you visit their homes.
Fabulous tour. We learned a lot and have a greater appreciation of the struggle.

Our tour guide, Pastor, was waiting for us at the hotel reception. We went to his private air conditioned car and began the tour. We made a few stops in the city, including a great wee coffee bar, and then proceeded to Soweto and visited the cooling towers, Nelson Mandela House and walked around the township with a local guide. Pastor was excellent, very knowledgeable of all history - local and wider - and was able to answer all our questions and give further insights. He even drove us to the airport at the end of the tour.

We had a wonderful day learning more about the past and present of the fascinating city of Johannesburg. Pastar, our guide, was incredibly knowledgeable about the city and the regional history and answered any and all questions that we had pertaining to the tour and other questions we had about South Africa. During this 5 hour tour I feel like I learned as much about Johannesburg and Soweto as I possibly could have, and I am very grateful to Pastar for giving my wife and I such a lovely day of learning and seeing. I would recommend this be the one tour you can't miss if you are in Johannesburg. Thank you!

Our guide, Pule, was wonderful from pick-up to drop off. Informative and engaging with both tidbits and deep history facts. Making the trip enjoyable and very informative. He also supported personal requests from us which made the day even better. Pule was interactive with us and we would recommend him to anyone wanting a city tour.

Our tour guide Pastor was so full of history. Any questions we may have asked he was able to answer. The Nelson Mandela museum was closed but we did the Constitutional Hill. This was gut wrenching and the type of history I love to hear about. It was just closed in the 80's (that's not long ago). The Hector Pieterson Museum doors not allow pictures inside. I'm assuming because they were kids. Pastors recommendation for lunch was excellent. I can't wait to come back with a group.

I booked this tour for 11 people as we had a spare 1/2 day in Johannesburg before flying back to Australia. Our guide Pastor did a great job showing us the sights and explaining everything. They were extremely responsive via WhatsApp and delivered everything in the tour description. Would definitely recommend.

This is an incredible tour – a must-do when visiting Johannesburg. Our guide Pastar was incredibly welcoming and open to answer any and all questions about the city, it’s history, people and government. The tour included very nuanced information around the history of Apartheid, Nelson Mandela, the mining industry, and the Soweta township. There were several parts that were difficult to see or listen to due to the awful treatment of black and colored people, but all topics were necessary and I am glad for the openness and honesty. The tour was very safe and respectful. Thank you, Pastar, for a wonderful experience!
