- zspszabo0 contributionsSafari tourIt was truly an incredible experience. The driver picked me up from the hotel and took me to the location where I boarded a “cage car.” The tour itself lasted about two hours, during which I had the opportunity to observe the animals in their natural habitat. Once the tour concluded, the driver was waiting for me at the designated drop-off point and took me back to the hotel. It was a fantastic experience, and I deeply appreciate the opportunity to see the animals in such an authentic setting.Written 12 December 2024
- katharinal7010 contributionsAmazing TourIt was such a great tour! Tinyiko was wonderful tourguide. This tour is perfect when you want to see Johannesburg in one day!Written 11 December 2024
- 7tanis0 contributionsWell-kept hotel with wonderful staff and amenities. This tour pleasantly surprised me and my boyfriend. The staff were always on top of their game and treated us with amazing service. MoAfrika who were extremely accommodating with their additional arrangements and transport. We will definitely be returning to this hotel, but as a family next time.Written 11 December 2024
- javiranksalg0 contributionsMust do activity in Johannesburg (solo or in group)If you are short on time and want to hit up a safari - I highly recommend coming to Pilanesberg Reserve. I travelled solo and was put in a group with super nice people which made the experience even better. I was picked up and dropped off without any inconveniences. At the get go we got so see lions and later in the day got to see elephants, rhinos, a mongoose, impalas, etc. The tour company was professional and quick at communicating. However, I had to call in to confirm my pick up location and time because the ticket had a different location. Was resolved pretty quick.Written 11 December 2024

- mukhitr20240 contributionsUnforgettable adventureWe had an amazing experience with MoAfrica Tours. Our guide was genuinely passionate about showing us as many animals as possible. Thanks to his dedication, we were lucky enough to spot a leopard and rhinos. Special thanks to our transfer driver, who consistently checked in about stops and shared information about the locations along the way to the park.Written 10 December 2024
- 11anev0 contributionsOnly way the experience “the real Soweto” is through this tour. This tour allows you to bask into the best side of Soweto. We had an absolutely wonderful time with Ntokozo, who definitely elevated our fun to the next level. We got to see the best shebeens/bars in Soweto with him and we are really happy that we booked this tour. This definitely the best night tour that I have ever done.Written 10 December 2024
- DivaGingerbreadLady0 contributionsA great tourThis was a wonderful tour. Our guide Dusty was not only knowledgeable but extremely friendly. She really made the trip fun. I also have to comment on the cleanliness of the restrooms. We would highly recommendWritten 9 December 2024
- eringN4796AN0 contributionsGood option to get an overview but would tweak if I couldThis tour was a good option to see Soweto, learn a lot of history, and have transportation provided for us. Our tour guide, Tshepo, was incredibly informative and shared a lot of extra details with us. The tour was "half day" and we were supposed to be back by 2pm, but we did not leave until almost 9am and we did not get back until after 3pm, and that was only because we pushed to do so and cut out lunch and a museum stop. I would have rather left earlier in the morning to accommodate timing (it said 7am on booking). However we booked the tour to fit with airport timing so we did have to rush there after getting back. I did not feel like the walk through Soweto was much, it was just a straight line to one daycare and back. I also did not like the stop at the daycare as it didn't feel right to bring a van of tourists in to look at the kids, have them sing us a song, and then leave. That wasn't advertised on the description of the tour and was just caught off guard. Overall the history shared was interesting and the ability to have transportation to cover such a large area was very helpful.Written 9 December 2024
- 11anev0 contributionsMoAfrika was fantastic and our tour guide Tom was excellent. This is a really good tour of Soweto and Johannesburg’s culture and historical areas. Our tour guide Tom was really knowledgeable and funny. His expertise and local knowledge made for a great day. We got to experience Soweto and Johannesburg much closer than we ever imagined. Thanks MoAfrika for a moving but great day.Written 9 December 2024
- Dorothy H0 contributionsDowntown and Museum tourThomas, our tour guide was prompt, the van was clean and safe, and his tour was way more than we expected. We would highly recommend it and do it again. The museum at the prison was the highlight. Thomas is very knowledgeable and freely answered all of our questions.Written 9 December 2024
- brendanmD4844DL0 contributionsA brilliant experienceReally good experience for 1st time seeing these animals really up close. The driver knew a lot of information and the animals and any questions asked he always had an answer for. We got pickup and drop off in Randburg that is good to those that don’t have a car or would rather not drive that is good. In all was a good day out.Written 8 December 2024
- Z8289GZahmads0 contributionsPerfect introduction to JohannesburgThis tour is an absolute must if you’re short on time in Johannesburg but still want to experience the city’s rich history and vibrant culture. It’s incredibly well-organized, and having local guides at each site adds an authentic and insightful touch to the experience. The real highlight of the day, however, was our tour guide, Thapelo. He truly went above and beyond to make the experience unforgettable. His warm personality, sharp sense of humor, and genuine care for everyone in the group made us feel welcome and at ease throughout the tour. He was also impressively punctual, ensuring that we stayed on schedule without ever feeling rushed. Overall, this tour was the perfect way to kick off my time in South Africa. It gave me a meaningful introduction to Johannesburg, its history, and its people. Whether you’re visiting for a short time or simply want a well-rounded, expertly guided experience, I can’t recommend this tour enough. It’s an experience you won’t regret!Written 8 December 2024

We recently completed a private tour of Pretoria and Cullinan Diamond mine with MoAfrika Tours. The tour included a trip to Cullinan Mine as well as a visit to a few major sites in Pretoria: the Voortrekker Monument, the Kruger House, and the Union Buildings. From making the reservation through the end of the tour, MoAfrika’s team did an excellent job and worked with us to ensure we got to see the sites we were most interested in. Our guides was Thabang (Happy) and Lawrence (who was in training). Both were very friendly and did a great job coordinating the trip, providing commentary, and keeping us safe.
All of the sites were well worth seeing, and we learned a lot in a very short time. I would highly recommend the tour to anyone with a limited amount of time in Pretoria, since it provides a great overview of the city, removes the stress of driving and parking in an unfamiliar place, and gives you the chance to learn from people local to the area.

Moafrika is the safest and most reliable way to explore an otherwise not-so-tourist-friendly city. After seeing pretoria, i was taken to the (safe) Voortrekker Monument and was treated with beautiful panoramic views of pretoria with some roadside wild buffalo. Marc was very friendly and gave me a great experience telling the history of south africa from a local’s point of view!

The overall experience was great! I would have appreciated if the guide had given some more spontaneous info regarding the things we visited. He was very available to answer questions but in certain ways almost seemed like he functioned only as transport from one place to the other. Even though the description said "Visit the Union Buildings, Paul Kruger's House, and the Voortrekker Monument in Pretoria" we were able to enter only in the Voortrekker Monument; it wasn't the guide's fault but it would have been good know it in advance.

I deemed this tour as necessary since I will be in South Africa and don’t know when I can be back. I had a package tour with a company but they were not offering ample time or itinerary to visit interesting places in either Johannesburg or Pretoria so I decided to come two days ahead of the tour to be able to see these two places. I got MoAfrica for a full day in Pretoria and Diamond Mine . And it was really a wise decision to contract them to see Pretoria. Our guide Pule was so eager to show us around and give historical account of every place we visited. The Voortrekker Monument is a sight to behold. This company is highly recommended.

The company MoAfrika was extremely flexible with the scheduling of my tour. My guide Nthato was very knowledgeable about the visited sites and Pretoria in general, giving me very interesting insights into life in South Africa today. I learned a lot about South African history, also the recent history, and Nthato did everything to make sure that I had an excellent experience.

We took a Pretoria City and Cullinan Mine trip with MoAfrika with Ali as our guide. We had a great day at all of the locations and the best part was Ali’s knowledge and insights both on South African history and on what it’s like to live in South Africa at this time. He really brought the day to life, particularly when we got back to the city. The mine tour was very interesting and Cullinan itself, while small, is quirky and interesting. We’d highly recommend this tour, especially if Ali is your guide.

We had a wonderful time with our guide Mark. He showed us the hotspots of Pretoria without any rush. We got all the time to visit the Kruger house, Kruger monument, Government hill and Voortrekkers monument. He also provided us with some interesting information about the situation in South Africa in a very balanced way.
The bus was convenient , with airco and he drove very safely.

Our tour guide, Knutson, was very friendly and very knowledgeable about the sites we visited. The Dutch Memorial was very informative. The Kruger house was fascinating. Carol was the guide at the diamond mine and was able to discuss the mine’s history and operation.

We enjoyed this tour as it took us to see all the historical monuments of Pretoria. Tsholo, our guide, was just excellent. He communicated us the history of every visited place with much passion and great information. We enjoyed and learned a lot about this beautiful city.

MoAfrica seem very effecient. They contacted me by sms and telephone to confirm the pick up time which was reassuring as l had booked months ago. I wouldnt hesitate to book with this company again.
The car was comfortable and clean. Mark, our guide, was very friendly and we learnt many interesting facts. Mark also spoke a little French which my husband was very pleased about being just a French speaker.
I was a little disappointed with the mining tour as you didnt see very much. I'm still glad that l went though. The tour was conducted by someone from the mining company. Luckily we went on a working day so we did see the conveyor belt and the shaft bringing up the mined rocks win action.
Pretoria was very interesting. It's a shame that due to the social situation its no longer safe to walk around but Mark pointed out some interesting buildings as we drove by. We were, of course, able to get out of the car to visit the main attractions.
An interesting and enjoyable day had by all.
