- MarkInaba0 contributionsUnforgettable One-Day Safari Experience!I had an incredible time on this one-day safari! From start to finish, everything was well-organized, making it a stress-free and enjoyable experience. The convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off was a huge plus, allowing me to relax and fully immerse myself in the adventure. Once on the safari, I was amazed by the variety of African wildlife I got to see up close. From majestic elephants and graceful giraffes to playful zebras and many more, it was truly a breathtaking experience. The guides were knowledgeable and passionate, sharing fascinating insights about the animals and their habitats. The entire trip was seamless, with plenty of time to take photos and soak in the beauty of the landscape. If you're looking for a memorable, hassle-free safari experience, I highly recommend this tour!Written 19 March 2025
- G9733WZrj0 contributionsBest experience with the lionsAnother fantastic trip with MoAfrika Tours. Thapelo was so knowledgeable about the area we drove through and provided interesting commentary about the attractions and general history of the province. Once at the park, the guides gave us the best experience with one on one interaction with cheetahs and lions. Also saw the leopards, rescue tigers and hyenas before embarking on a walk with two majestic male lions. It was a great adventure and highly recommend this visit.Written 19 March 2025

- mrx90 contributionsOutstanding Tour Experience—Thank You Mo Afrika and Tanyiko! My tour with Mo Afrika, guided by the knowledgeable and passionate Tanyiko, was an unforgettable journey through Johannesburg’s history. Visiting Soweto, Constitution Hill, and the Apartheid Museum was profoundly moving, offering deep insight into South Africa’s apartheid era and its fight for freedom. Tanyiko’s storytelling brought history to life, making the experience both emotional and educational. This tour is a must for anyone wanting to connect with South Africa’s past in a meaningful way. Highly recommended!Written 16 March 2025
- J7604HZamandak0 contributionsGreat experience! We are so glad we booked this tour. Could easily have been a 5 star experience except for a couple of things. The van ride going to and from Pilanesberg was packed full and not very comfortable, luckily only a 2 hour trip with a bathroom/coffee stop mid way. Also we arrived about an hour before our room was ready, so it was a little annoying to sit around with our bags on a lovely hot day by the pool without having a place to change into bathing suits and get comfortable. But otherwise, we had a GREAT time! The game drives in the park were so fun. Trucks can fit 9 passengers, but we only had 7 and we all became fast friends from around the world. Our ranger was incredibly knowledgeable and we saw tons of animals. The lodge was beautiful. The food was amazing! And we loved our cute cabin with the huge tub and outdoor shower. I can’t imagine a better way to experience an African safari with luxury accommodations in so little time and without breaking the bank.Written 14 March 2025
- albertoA4710TV0 contributionsImmersive and powerful tour of ApartheidEverything was just incredible. From the expertly curated exhibits and the wonderful guide, we had an unforgettable journey through the painful legacy of Apartheid. This museum is truly a world-class tribute.Written 12 March 2025

Our family of 5 (2 adults and 3 teens) took the full day tour by private minibus from Johannesburg to Pretoria and Soweto and everyone loved it. It was a full-on day (Pretoria - the Voortrekker monument, Kruger House, Union buildings and Mandela statue), then lunch in Soweto with visits to the Mandela home and a typical Soweto township house. We finished with the Apartheid museum and managed to see everything we wanted, which was brilliant. Our guide, Khutso Modishane, was professional, knowledgeable, an excellent driver and very patient, given everything we wanted to see, and we would highly recommend both Khutso as a guide and Mo Afrika as a company. Thank you for a great day!

I have very limited time - less than half a day , and wished to have a detailed tour of Soweto. MoAfrika were very accommodating and organized the tour to start early - 7:30 am ,so that we could meet the deadlines I had ,yet not miss out on anything. They were dead on time for pickup and drop back. Thank you
The guide , Cpho , was great. A caring and knowledgeable man. Very friendly and proactive. Knowing of the time constraints we had , he started the tour by first inquiring what exactly we wanted to see in Soweto and what were the "must sees".N once advised of this he proceeded to expose us to a fair share of the different aspects of Soweto- what he termed as the good, bad & ugly . It was a very informative tour. N I was traveling with my daughter and never at any moment felt unsafe despite the reputation, unfortunately and unfairly I feel, that Soweto has .
A great way to explore Soweto

This was a great tour to do coupled with the night tour to get an introduction to Soweto and its highlights. My favorite stop has to be the Hector Pieterson Museum as Themba gave such a great insight to the history and culture. Overall it was a wonderful tour and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to see the historical highlights of Soweto.

My husband and I went on a private full day tour of Johannesburg and Soweto. Our guide was Happy who we had spent a half day with the day before on another tour. His knowledge was exceptional and his whole attitude and passion to his job was excellent. He was a great communicator and navigator, and we felt at ease in his company. We had time to have lunch, (not included in the tour) and we asked Happy to recommend somewhere with traditional local food and he took us to the Soweto towers, Chaf Pozi. The food was excellent along with his company. The Apartheid Museum was incredible, we spent 2 hours in there but could have spent another 1 but sadly it was closing. It was harrowing to read in more detail all about South Africa's struggles and moved us terribly. We had arrived at the Museum following a visit to the Shanty towns, so we were feeling very emotional, following this humbling experience. The occupants of the town were incredible, the conditions they have to deal with as part of their daily life did not dampen their spirits or the warmth on their smiling friendly faces. We were invited into one of the shacks and met the family who lived there. This image will stay with us forever and we came away feeling very emotional and moved. We will never take anything for granted again and felt humbled to have spent a short time with these wonderful people. We would highly recommend this tour as it gives you a flavour of the countries history and an understanding of the troubles the country has come through.

My dad and I took the full day tour with Tshepo and it was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and shared many interesting stories about the history and culture of the area. I felt like we learned so much. I think the most memorable experience was visiting one of the informal housing areas, where we took a 20-minute tour with Byron who lives in the community. He shared about his experiences growing up there and even took us to visit the children in the day care, and we purchased some very nice souvenirs from the local artists which also helps support the day care. Although we couldn’t visit the Apartheid Museum (because it was not open the day we could do the tour), I highly recommend visiting the Nelson Mandela House as an alternative. We also had a wonderful lunch in Soweto. Thank you for the great experience and I hope that this review encourages others to take this tour as well. Next time I am in South Africa, I would definitely use this company to visit the Cradle of Humankind and Cultural Village.

Upon our arrival back in Johannesburg we took the Soweto tour. Sello made it very imformative. Our community member Tsepo took us around and gave us insight into the town and his struggles growing up which was very interesting. We also purchased some souvenirs from a local artist which I am going to display in my office back at work. The lunch we had with our guide was also very delich!! Thank you MoAf tours!

This private tour was a perfect way to see the city. We were able to see all of the majors sites in a calm relaxed atmosphere driven by a very knowledgeable English speaking guide. He answered all of our questions and gave us a detailed historical perspective of the city and South Africa in general. The trip to Soweto was a memorable part of the tour.

Highly recommend this experience! We were able to fit in so much, including the Nelson Mandela House (additional fee, but very cheap), Hector Pieterson Museum, Apartheid Museum, lunch in Soweto, and a walking tour of Soweto. Great value for the cost, which included pick up and drop off at my residence. Tour guides were fabulous and knowledgeable.

This tour is an excellent way to see the best spots of both cities. I am really happy that I booked this with my family, as everything was just so convenient. Our transfer and bookings were all taken care of thanks to MoAfrika and our driver and or guide Benjamin was enthusiastic and showed us all the hidden gems of the city.
