      Different side of Capetown!!
I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. It was a nice stroll through a different side of Capetown. We saw some beautiful art and heard about the artists and meanings behind each piece. Our host did an amazing job. I highly recommend!

Hang out in Soweto - It’s a must xx
Linda from Lebo’s bicycle tours took us on an immersive tour of Soweto and was such an amazing guide. Full of knowledge, humour and all round great guy. This warm and vibrant community welcomed us with open hearts and we learnt so much about the history of Soweto within this atmosphere topped off by a delicious lunch back at the community hostel. The hostel itself is a truly magical and unique place. If you want to feel a part of the Soweto community. Do this! Sending love and thanks. xx Monica Edwards

Great time in Soweto with Themba
We had a great time with Themba! He was a fantastic guide, very personable and open to answering our questions. The bike ride was very nice. Definitely had some challenging uphill portions but he was very cognizant of people's different levels and would recommend walking with the bikes as needed for safety/traffic. The sandwich in the middle of the tour was a good experience to try a soweto specific creation- very interesting with bread, fries, a fried egg, and a few different sauces. We had a fantastic time.

Very interesting tour around Orlando East and West
Very interesting tour around Orlando East and West. We ended up being the only ones on the tour and it was Easter Monday so the Mandela House was not open so the tour moved a little bit faster than typical. After learning about the history of the neighborhood, we enjoyed an early lunch (come hungry!) and then a minibus taxi ride to the East side. The tour adds important context to other tours/historical sites you might do in Johannesburg!

      Great walking tour
Mulalo was a great guide and brought me to visit many important areas to get a better gist of what local life in the city is like. He explained much of the history behind the buildings and parks, giving me a much better understanding. The tour started and ended on time. The itinerary on the website needs to be updated to reflect that the Top of Africa was not accessible. This accounts for the 4/5 rating.

      Amazing visit of Soweto
We really enjoyed our tour of Soweto. The guide was super clear and shared a lot of interesting insights about the area. We also had some fun moments during the lunch where we had the chance to try some delicious local food. I would definitely recommend One Day Africa!

We truly enjoyed our tour with Welile, you can feel his energy and passion on how he narrate the events of distant past and how it impacted the neighborhood of Soweto. Til next time! And we can’t wait to do a food tour!

      great experience!!
Themba was an awesome tour guide! He was very fun, caring and looked out for safety and comfort. The bike ride was doable, you can take it slow if you need to, some hills but overall fun and a good workout! Would recommend!

art for sustainability and community building
A very nice experience with beautiful wall paintings about sustainability and community building. It is in Woodstock - a suburb where normally tourists don't come. Highly recommended.

      Street Art tour
I enjoyed a lot this tour. It is different from any other tour I did in the city. Xolani had so much knowledge of the area and the paintings that I could get a deep insight of the artists and the Neighborhood. I recommend this tour 100%.

He was highly motivated and we thoroughly enjoyed the tour and the history behind the art work. The story and the beauty of every piece as well as Tebogo’s great vibe will stay with us for a long time.

Awesome tour around cool Maboneng. Have a coffee in the best coffee bar in town and look at your first murals while enjoying it. The tour is very interesting and your learn quite a lot about Johannesburg in general and Maboneng. Due to Cobid we weren't able to enjoy the bars in Maboneng but our guide would have provided us with some great tips for the area.
We felt safe all the time and we can absolutly recommend it. If you are in Johannesburg, don't miss out on that.

The Maboneng Art District walking tour offered a view most tourists might not see. The street art, the people’s art , the no apologies art. Johannesburg may be a little gritty and tense , but I am so glad my wife and I had the pleasure of doing the tour. KG our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and it showed that he was very connected to the scene. Security folks, street artists and young guys just hanging around seemed to know him and greeted him. We felt comfortable and secure. He answered many of my questions and could tell what we were most interested in. The murals were so cool. I’ll attach photos.
KG went the extra step to help us out. He made sure we were comfortable with the whole experience. The tour was well worth it and I fully recommend it.

Fantastic and personalised art tour around Maboneng - it's much larger than I thought and some of the artwork is really hidden. The guides really know their stuff and deep details of the artwork, history and transformation of this area. This is a must do activity if you are visiting.

Great street art tour in Maboneng! Learned a lot about the street art scene and the neighborhood. The tour took place even though I was the only person who booked the early morning slot and my guide was easy to talk to and was able to answer all my questions as he knows most of the artist personally. Highly recommended for anyone interested to see cool artworks in an up and coming neighborhood of Johannesburg

Mathapelo, our guide, was extremely knowledgeable and fun. She shared both the history of Maboneng and the stories behind the various her personal experiences as well as the details behind each piece of art. Most of all she shared her personal views on current events as well as her perspective on the art pieces and the neighborhood.

Additionally, as I was having trouble with the Airbnb platform, I contacted One Day Africa. They were extremely responsive and flexible. They also followed up to ensure that I was all squared away before my visit. Would highly recommend to anyone visiting Johannesburg.

What an amazing experience! We met our guide TJ at the Home Of The Bean Cafe and he gave us a wonderful personalised 2 and a half hour tour of the area with some great personal insights as well as the ‘tourist’ info. He introduced us to some wonderful artists, designers, even a singer! There’s sone fantastic artwork to be seen, shops to pop into and people to meet. Highly recommended!

This tour is a great experience, where you'll learn a lot about the historical and cultural background of the art and of this district. The tour guide is really nice and knows a lot of artists personally. He is a good storyteller and you feel very connected to the art and understand it. Often times I had these goosebumps moments.
I can definitely recommend the tour. It is absolutely worth the money!

Very nice walk through the district of Maboneng. The street art is amazing. Our guide was very knowledgeable about each art piece and about the background. At times it felt a little bit as if it was learned by heart as opposed to a genuine passion for street art, but it is definitely a great experience. I found the price to be rather high, but enjoyed it genuinely.

Great surprise to meet Tebogo again after he guided us through Soweto. This was a shorter tour but brimmed full of stories & visual delights. The street art was a window to the Bohemian soul of Maboneng, & Tebogo is a wonderful narrator.
    Thanks again.
