There was apparently a lack of communication between the tour operator and booking service/agent regarding my booking

We had three different tours in Johannesburg with One Day Africa. We enjoyed learning about the history of these places with the knowledgeable and friendly guides. If you visit Johannesburg, we definitely recommend taking a tour with One Day Africa.

Interesting tour with a fun and knowledgeable guide! Got to see some things I hoped to see (abandoned skyscrapers, colonial architecture) and some I didn't expect to find (a bustling shopping street). I really enjoyed to finally see the CBD, learn more history and get a feeling of the area, especially since I stayed with friends further out in the suburbs.

We did two tours with One Day Africa and for both tours our guide was Terrance. Terrance is very knowledgeable, engaging and very passionate about South African history. We highly recommend these tours for anyone looking to immerse themselves in the culture and beauty of the area.

Chandy was great, he explained the murals and their context very well, giving insight into the art and its meaning. He took time to respond to questions and share his personal views and experience. Loved it!

We were expecting a greater focus on street art. This is the reason we did not give it a five. Very knowledgeable guide. Good bikes.

We had such an amazing time with our visit to Soweto. Our guide met us at the coffee shop in Vilakazi street as arranged and on time. He is a local in Soweto and very knowledgable and professional, and fun! You do not walk past someone and not greet, this was so refreshing as everyone in the neighbourhood is so friendly and kind. We felt welcome throughout the trip. You can dress anyway you like but some comfy shoes is definitely recommended, the walks wasn’t hard but you are on your feet most of the day. The taxi drive was an experience, the respect the people driving in it towards each other was nice to witness, if a lady climbs in with a baby or an elderly person, everyone moves up so they can sit in front. The Kota burger was amazingly lekker, our guide told us that it would be our cheat day and it was well worth it. The whole trip was insightful and so much fun. We were 3 ladies, me, my mom and my sister-in-law. Thank you One Day Africa, we can recommend you for this tour any day.

Mawesa is an EXCELLENT tour guide which really enhanced the quality of the tour. He is well known and respected by the community, so we were able to go into very economically depressed areas, all the while feeling totally safe. I HIGHLY recommend this tour!

The tour was great. Maweza knows so much and so many people! Bontle holds her own and will be great when she starts leading the tours. I think the way they set the tour up is perfect. It is important to see all the facets of this society and to hear the history that lead to it. I am glad they do not shy away from showing us the poverty that is a part of Soweto and South Africa. I would highly recommend this tour. The food we were given was delicious. And there was vegetarian option. The bus ride was a unique part.

We had a wonderful artistic stroll through Maboneng with Refiloe. He was a friendly, enthusiastic and very knowledgeable tour guide. Not only about the art, but the neighbourhood and Joburg itself. We could have walked around all day chatting about art and culture with Refiloe!! Great tour. Highly recommend!!

Very nice tour with an enthusiastic guide in a vibrant neighbourhood full of original street art, mostly 'official' work. The guide made us feel very safe knowing all people around.

Mulalo was a great guide. He shared a lot of history, politics, and culture that I would not have learned in a guidebook. We learned so much about Soweto.
