      Great perspective on Woodstock
I try to hit up a street art tour in every city I visit. Often, it is a way to get to know the counter-culture of the city which is exciting. There were some impressive and inspiring pieces on this tour and our guide provided background on the people on the neighborhood and the artists for each one including the messages behind their works. Many were sponsored or commissioned pieces which can reflect the vision and hope of the community. There was some surprising (to a visitor) street art too that really indicated the politics and view of the people. It was eye-opening but also good to know where some community members stand on important issues. The commentary about subjects other than art was interesting as well and I enjoyed our discussion and tips for places to go too. I recommend this tour.

      Maboneng Graffiti Tour
We had the pleasure of touring with a pretty cool and easy guide called Clement. He was likeable and charming. It was fun seeing all the graffiti and the walk was easy. besides the graffiti we also got to pop in to various galleries and art spaces and meet artists and see their work. Perfect for those who love art.

Interesting tour with a great guide
This was our first tour upon arriving in Cape Town and it was an excellent introduction to the people, history and culture of the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable and he was able to provide context and history on each piece of art. We were lucky to be the only people on the tour that we booked, so it was like having a private guide. I definitely enjoyed the tour and would recommend it to anyone.

      Joburg walking tour
We did a walking tour with Mulalo. He showed us lots of diverse spots in the city and had a great knowledge of the history of Joburg! It was from the point of view of a ‘younger’ person, which was nice for us, as he showed cool and hip places as well. Would recommend it to get an overview of the city.

Its the place and the tour to understand SA history and mindset better. It opened my eyes to many things which I did not know or did not understand.

      Must Do Walking Tour
We totally enjoyed the walking tour with our guide Clement. He was very knowledgeable and enjoyable to be with. You could feel his passion for the rejuvenation of the area and the impact it has on local artists. We felt very safe as we walked around and learned about the community. We highly recommend this tour if you are going to be in Johannesburg.

      Bike tour of soweto
I took the Soweto bike tour. What can I say...exciting is an understatement, the guide was very knowledgeable and very kind, he showed us every single facet of Soweto, immersing us in what was its history and the consequences that are still visible today. An experience I recommend anyone to have if they visit Johannesburg

      Great Tour !
We had a really nice time during the Street art tour. Xolani was very friendly and had good stories to tell, we had great conversations with him and the group. We didn't see the time go by and could have continued for long, there is so much to see and it was so interesting ! Thanks a lot, Mojiburahman and Justine

Was met by Tebogo (T) who explained the itinerary. He was so enthusiastic and proud of Soweto and its history, and this really came across. Our guide was Dumisane (Dumi) who was just brilliant. The route and timings were great, as was Dumi's knowledge and energy in making sure we were safe and had a great time.
The bikes were new and comfortable. Highly recommend this tour and this tour operator as they are locals and so determined to represent their country and Soweto in the best possible way, and they surly did this. And for Dumi good luck with your education, as we both agree, knowledge is key. Brilliant time.

We had a terrific morning tour of Soweto with TK (Tinyiko) that I would recommend to everyone. My daughter and I were the only guests on a chilly Wednesday morning. We arrived and TK had our bikes ready, gave us a great overview, safety guidelines, and we were off. We felt safe throughout the ride, as the routes we took were low-traffic and good for biking. He provided great conversation, history, and personal perspective when asked. And the ending point at the Soweto Gold brewery was a treat as well. I recommend this tour for anyone wanting a local’s perspective on Soweto’s story.

Rambo was fantastic and very knowledgeable about the history of Soweto and SA. We had a fabulous time tasing the local cuisine as well as the welcoming Soweto community.

Definitely a tour i will be doing again with my kids to open up their minds and knowledge of the country that they live in. A must do for anyone living in SA.

This was an AMAZING tour! After weeks of incredible safaris and gorgeous landscapes we weren't exactly looking forward to a historical tour in Soweto, however T quickly captured our attention and hearts and made this one of the best parts of our trip. He was knowledgeable and able to give us a perspective unlike any other. The lunch (Kota) was the best meal we had all trip and I'm desperately searching for a restaurant in Toronto that makes it. Make sure you bring extra cash on this trip, as you'll need to pay for entering the mandela house and tip some friends you meet along the way.

Dumi was an amazing guide - he kept my teenagers interested and engaged, and somehow imparted a wealth of knowledge in a short time. He is from Soweto himself and really gave us an insider's perspective. The bikes were high quality, just a little hard on the hills because no speeds (but totally manageable - the hills aren't bad). No bike lanes though so if you don't like riding next to a lot of traffic, consider the walking tour instead. This tour was a highlight of our South Africa visit.

This was an absolutely amazing tour! Dumi was an incredible tour guide and so warm and welcoming. I really enjoyed getting to learn about Soweto, which is such a fascinating place with an incredibly rich history. It was great to see on a bike too because you really get to see so much more of the neighborhood and get to see so many more people. I loved seeing Nelson Mandela's house, the Hector Pieterson Memorial, the Soweto cooling towers, and just getting to feel the general vibe of the neighborhood. I greatly appreciated how Dumi waited with my friends and I while our Uber was coming as the sun was going down, and how he recommended good restaurants to go to in the neighborhood.

We had a wonderful time on our bicycle tour in Soweto, Johannesburg! Mulalo, our guide, made the experience memorable with insightful commentary as we explored the vibrant community. The four-hour journey was filled with cool sights, and we appreciated the well-planned itinerary. We also stopped for lunch at a local ‘chip shop’. I’d recommend this tour for a unique and enriching adventure.

Dumi is a wealth of knowledge regarding his home of Soweto. He made the cycling tour remarkable by covering so much of the history. Above that he’s kind.
The cycling tour itself includes many locations so you’ll get educated on the history.
I was also able to meet the owner of the tour company who empowers the youth of Soweto to work as guides. He is in his 20’s too and making a great impact of the local community in Soweto.

Take this tour, I recommend it. The bikes are one speed but if one has an issue with slight elevation, it’s easy to walk the bike a few metres uphill, nothing too challenging.

The guide was excellent. He gave a really good history of the struggles of Soweto. As he was a local and young he could also give us an insight into how the young black youth of Soweto live today.
One thing to be aware of. The bikes have no gears so uphill can be a challenge

At first we were a bit doubtful because there were not that many reviews, but we are very glad that we decided to go!

Lebo (nickname Rambo) took us for an amazing biketour through Soweto. He is a local, so he knows firsthand how it is to live in Soweto and will tell you everything there is to know about Soweto and it's history. We admired his mindset and his positive energy, as well as his knowledge on Soweto. A really friendly guy, amazing food on the way and a complete experience of Soweto.

An absolute must when visiting Johannesburg!
