You MUST book at least 1 tour!
I did a few tours with Honest Travel because I had such a good time and the staff was so kind and welcoming. I was mostly with Malone & he made sure I had the best time. I’d do it again and again. As a solo traveler, this tour was amazing alone with the sunset dining and African food. I loved it all♥️♥️♥️♥️

      Celebrating us!
I would like to start off by saying there was an issue with my reservation while being in South Africa. However it was resolved when speaking to Tye! Just make sure you ask questions upon reserving so that everything is aligned. Aside from this, the night life was super sharp. The people we met were very genuine. There was a tour guide- Malone, Rambo and Romeo who did an OUTSTANDING job. My business partner and I felt super welcomed. We went to museums, learned history, ate great food, danced etc. They went above and beyond to make sure we felt safe and had a lot of fun. I would rate the entire experience 8/10 BUT the night life 10/10 — I would HIGHLY recommend. Thank you for the memory!

      Johannesburg food and art tour
We decided to book a food tour to try out new things. This tour was beyond our expectations. We had Eunice as our guide and she was wonderful! She gave us an amazing tour and pointed out absolutely beautiful artwork. The food was phenomenal as well. I would highly recommend this tour!

      Excellent food.
Great food from four different areas in Africa and a wonderful guide (Joe) that provided a lot of town history. You will not be disappointed.

Great food and great people 10/10
The food was diverse, interesting, and delicious. Overall, the tour guides cater to everyone’s needs really well. We had a tour guide named Ty with us and he was amazing.

      Delicious and informative!
This was so much more than a food tour. DK gave us all the details about the neighborhood and the artwork around us. The food was great! at each stop, there was a larger portion than expected but it worked out quite well with all of the walking. This is a great tour for any traveler in Johannesburg.

A very reliable and cool tour guide.
A very reliable and cool tour guide. It is a good choice to tour the city of Johannesburg by bicycle. Since I was the only one in the cycling group, I asked him to take me to the place where the street photography was taken. Got a lot of satisfying photos. Without him, I wouldn’t even dare to take out my camera. He can solve all the troubles caused when taking pictures. I encountered some small problems during the itinerary. Since I purchased a 5-hour trip for one day, the message from the tour guide company was a half day tour , he was a nice person and took me ride for 4 hours (not 5 hours). Travelers who like photography can participate.

      Nightlife in JNB
I found out about the nightlife tour the last minute of my Johannesburg visit and I decided to take part, I had much fun and I wish I knew about this earlier, this is a great Idea especially if u are traveling solo. Gio is really doing a good job, taking care of his clients and making sure they are comfortable engaging in conversations so you don’t feel bored

The coolest way to explore the city
Such a cool way to explore the city! The views were spectacular and our guide was very well informed. My favourite part was exploring the hidden gems of the city.

Explore Jozi by Night with a Local!!!
I decided to do a little stay-cation, and this nightlife was one of the tours I booked from Honest Travel. Gio was an exceptional host, and I enjoyed every bit of this tour. I highly recommend it if you want to explore Joburg at night but want to do so with a local. I joined a couple on this tour and felt very safe throughout.

      Must-Do when in Jozi!
I enjoyed everything about this tour. Maboneng is a very artistic and vibrant area. As a local, I enjoyed the interpretation of our food and the stories that came with it. The guides were very knowledgeable, not only about the area but also about the food we ate.

Loved @HonestTravelExperience tour guide - Franck and his team. The Johannesburg view on that route is amazing. Locals need to visit such places more, than to wait for the foreign world to write these stories for us.

Very informative and it gave a whole different perspective to the South African environment. People are give a chance to become "makers' within their own space and they are given external financial support. This makes it a very interesting space to learn about in a country where everyone is worried about job opportunities and making a general living. The concept of 'Edible Street' was a very creative idea.
With all this said, from the community members that I was expecting to see within the space to the ones that I saw showed a decline with community interest. It would be nice to see the space communicating more to everyone within the space rather than of those that can make or can be creative.

This trip was awe inspiring as we got to meet various artists, from shoe designers to actual painters. Skills village was beautiful venue with many props and party spaces, that seem so surreal. The coffee from Hillbrewed cafe was also refreshing.
    Definitely worth a visit!

There are so many talented artists both trained and untrained in South Africa! I especially loved the art gallery in the Ellis park arena. We learned about each artist and the emotions they wanted to show in their art work. In Victoria Yards, we also visited a distillery with the most tasteful gin you can find, using oranges only grown and found in this specific part of South Africa.
