My family of 3 had an enjoyable experience on this Safari tour from Johannesburg. Our guide, Thabang, was particularly knowledgeable and told us what to expect along the way. We were picked up promptly, transferred to a larger vehicle, and driven to Plianesburg National Park. Our time spent looking for animals was rewarded with sites of giraffe, rhinos, hippos, buffalo, zebras, antelopes and elephants. Although we had left the lunch location, once the guide heard about a family of elephants visiting, he turned around and took us back in time to see families of elephants up close. It was the highlight of the trip for me, as elephants are my favorite animals. I would highly recommend this tour.

Amazing experience,saw lots of animals. The animals were behaving like they would in the wild. Very lovely scenery with indigenous tree cover, plenty of watering holes. The way they dammed the rainfall to enhance the small lakes were done sensitively.The guide was a pro.

This trip was so great.
We saw all big 5 animals within a few hours, which admittedly is largely luck, but our guide did have a decent feel for where animals might be as well as who to ask for where sightings have happened that day.
Because we had extra time, he took us to the top of this mountain that had a beautiful view.
The guide was great. I don't know what his credentials are, but he really seemed to know his stuff. As we went along, he'd offer tidbits about the animals, like their Latin name, what they eat, why zebras have their stripes, etc.
Go on this! You'll have a lot of fun, and you'll hopefully make a lot of sightings. Afterwards, someone commented that the small size of Pilanesburg also lends itself to sightings because there is less space to search for animals.
Also, the price is a huuuge bargain, in my opinion.

This was an amazing experience. Pilanesberg Nat Park is a gem. We saw cheetah, elephants, rhinos, wildebeest, giraffes, elephants, and numerous others. Our ranger guide Neko in the park was a walking encyclopedia about the flora and fauna. A bonus is that he had a great sense of humor, and loved sharing stories about the magnificent animals in the park. Our driver Sunny transported us to and from Johannesburg and also was extremely knowledgeable about the city and the surrounding countryside.
This trip was a great value.

My friends and I had a great tour with Guide Eddie! Very knowledgeable about the animals and their behaviors/ where they are located, and also sense of humor kept the group entertained and laughing. Would definitely recommend a day tour for those who are limited on time or budget for multiple day safari trip

This was the best thing we did during our time in South Africa! The driver who collected us from Joburg to take us to the safari park was a nice guy and drove sensibly. Once we got to the park and switched into the safari vehicle the guide was fantastic - we saw four out of the big five (did not see Buffalo), and I would say that without the guide we would probably have been able to spot the elephant and rhino but no way would we ever have seen the leopard or the lion without his expert guidance (and him speaking to the other guides on their walkie talkies, which is how they share sightings). He was knowledgable and funny, and as well as the big five he helped us spot heaps of other animals including giraffes. I couldn't believe how much we saw in just one day!

Awesome day trip ... staff were so helpful and informative right from booking through to the drivers. Sunny who drove us to and from the Park was such a vibrant fun personality and Mzar who did the game drive did an excellent job finding animals and was very knowledgeable. I would highly recommend MoAfrika and this trip to anyone who wants to experience a safari. It was a cold and wet day but they supplied warm raincoats which was a nice touch. We saw rhinos, leopard, elephant, giraffes etc

The agency was always on time with the schedule. The drivers and guides were very friendly and cooperative.
However, the trip from JNB to the park was very tiring. I suggest booking a hotel closer to the park and scheduling a Pilenesberg Park visit early morning (this time is still fresh and the animals are out hunting, so you can see them more easily). Our group started the park tour at about 9:30 and we couldn't see the lions and the leopards. The giraffes and the rhinos were too far away to be seen properly, so take a good camera with more zoom to use there. The cell phone camera is not enough.

The whole experience was amazing! From booking the tour online (we booked it on the day before, and we were surprised with how quickly they responded and assisted us) to being delivered back home, the service provided was top-notch! We were also very satisfied with this tour and especially with our guide, Petros (such a funny man), who made the safari even more enjoyable than we were expecting. He helped us all the time in getting the best pictures (sometimes at insanely short distances but always considerate of the wellbeing of the animals) and shared some great valuable knowledge about the park. A 10/10 experience indeed. Highly recommended!

I had an awesome day on this trip. I was picked up at 545 in the morning and taken to Pilanesberg National Park. The group I went with was small and we were well looked after by our driver Arnold. On the way to the National Park we took a rest to stretch our legs, go to the toilet and buy some food and drink if we desired. When we arrived at Pilanesberg we were handed over to our ranger for the day! We were loaded into a three tiered open vehicle and we started our first drive which was about 3 hours. We saw elephants and hippos straight away. The scenery was absolutely beautiful and we could all relax and enjoy our surroundings. The National Park was great as we not only got to see: zebras, giraffes, springboks. Elephants, hippos, rhinos and kudus- but we could see them in their natural habitat. I think this tour is great for anyone who can’t make it to Kruger National Park or would like to see a gorgeous mountainous landscape not far from Johannesburg. My advice is not to plan on seeing all of the Big 5- just go along, free your mind, enjoy the surroundings and the animals that you do see! Again the tour guide and our driver were great,
